Today I'm taking an in-depth look at customs. What they are, what they bring to the franchise and why people make them, as well as why you should try to make them someday. But, I'm no expert, so I collaborated with The Skylander Dude, who's a very experienced and talented Skylanders Custom creator. He talked about his inspiration behind his customs and how he first got into Skylanders customization, and he did all this whilst making me a custom and sending that over. Spoiler alert! It looked AWESME! I hope you enjoy!

The Skylander Dude’s custom looks a lot like an official Activision variant that would either be limited in release, or an employee exclusive!

Evolved Grave Clobber
Red Rage Nightmare express
Bronzefire
Short mage (or mage cut)
Rusted Dive-clops
Upgraded Blaster-Tron
Freeze Luck
Awakened Eruptor
Surfer Slam bam
And Silver Boomer
Those are for some of the customs I could think of

I figured this aspect of the community deserved the spotlight for once, and I totally agree, seeing the evolution of Skylander Dude's customs has been incredible. By some miracle he's got better each time, and I really admire that. :)

I’ve been thinking about doing customs some ideas I have is Granite Rubble Rouser Indominous Dino Rang and Chopper and a Christmas themed Blast Zone
Yeh, they're all solid ideas there. I'd tell ya to go for it. Don't worry about how good it'll be, especially for your first time round. ;)

I need to touch up shroomboom mushroom top. What kind of white paint do you suggest.
Honestly, not sure. But I'm sure a few layers of any type of white paint will be fine. Maybe.
this video inspired me to make a tarclops custom ima buy a new zap and remove the figure off the base then make tarclops and i might make another custom with my dupe bop it will be a mini of crusher

I’m wanting to make a custom involving Tree Rex and I want to move the big red hand, if I do this, will it mess up the glowing functionality?
The wire is inside the arm, so long as you keep the wire in tact (i.e: don't cut it) whilst you move around the arm it'll be fine

I believe, so long as you don't cut the internal wire then yes. ;)

I have to admit I love and hate customs like ruining chain reactions just for a custum that looks bad Evan though they destroyed a ton of them
