- What is your favorite Skylander?
Skylander has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. Buying the new games each year, watching TH-cam videos, and making Let Plays are some of my most fond childhood memories. However, my favorite thing to do was hunt RARE SKYLANDERS. In today's video, I talk about the different variations that were released as well as some of the most expensive Skylanders in the world.

If I’m not mistaken, the rarest Skylander would probably be the “Happy Birthday Ben Master Starcast” chase variant ,considering it was only available as a party favour at Ben Brady, Son of Tom Brady’s, 7th birthday, due to Tom Brady being good friends with Bobby Kotick, the CEO of Activision Blizzard

My favorite “rare” skylanders are probably the 3ds exclusive ones since not only did they encourage me to play these side games, some of them actually have unique movesets like Dark Spyro did (even if they were only different on the 3ds).
I once played Skylanders with a kid who owns the evil dude figure, apparently hes a button-mash to win character. The kid lives just a block away from me but I haven't seen him in years, hope hes doing well.
I'll never forget buying my Ro-bow and the other pieces of the adventure pack at a thrift store for 5$, then realizing this was the dude that people kept going on about for being stupidly rare and impossible to find.
The only rare Skylanders I owned when I was a kid was the Legendary Pack of Skylanders that was a ToysRus Exclusive I remember my Abuela bought it for me at the Time Square ToysRus.(Best location ever may it rest in Piece) I got Bash,ChopChop,and Spyro!
Laiyenz i appreciate youre dedication to this channel. I love the goofy videos and the way you interact with us. Favorite skylanders memory was always wanting skylands until one day when at my grandmas house in florida she said she had an xbox 360 but no games but she said we could buy one. We went to a gamestop and bought skylanders imaginators. This might be my best memory as a 9 year old

I think you forgot the most rarest skylander. This skylander no one knows how many there are but, it’s called happy birthday Ben star cast for skylanders imaginators. If you look this up there aren’t really any listing AT ALL not even a speck of information from when it was last sold (which I will tell you when it was sold in a minute here) so the real backstory of this skylander was if you were a friend of Tom Brady’s son yeah that’s right the nfl man himself and if you went to his birthday party you were given this skylander new in box. Now, what I told you this was hundreds or maybe thousands of dollars in value? Well uhhh… you would be right since in early October of 2023 someone had a listing for it, and the bid on eBay WENT OVER 6,000 DOLLARS. I was absolutely blowing my brains out when I saw this but anyways great video and hoped you learned something 😅

I got a Gnarly Tree Rex back when it was exclusively bundled with a Wii console. The stars aligned since my old Wii broke right around the time Giants came out…
Then they just released it separately in stores a few months later. So I owned the absolute rarest Skylander at the time… for a couple months.

I remember accidentally bricking my Dark Sorceror Imaginator card (wiped it via either Giants Wii or that one of the 3DS games that worked on) and contacting Activision support in Twitter DMs. They sent me a Dark Creation Crystal before it was available outside of the Dark Starter Pack! If I remember correctly, they had no idea that these games could wipe imaginators; I asked the guy to at least add a disclaimer of some sort and they said they'd send that idea off to the higher-ups.
The rarest skylanders item may not even be a Skylande itself but the skylanders art books that shit was a bitch to get my hands on even got the swap force artbook signed by the devs, the there’s thrillipede who’s standard release never came out in America only just Easter variant

I had some skylanders a while back but it was thrown out accidentally. one day i might start collecting them again
I really like my Scarlet Ninjini. Most variants looked like lazy recolors that only had 1-2 colours on em, but some like her and the holiday versions were really neat. I kind of regret selling my glow in the dark QuickDraw Rattle Shake as he's one of my favourite characters, but I've got so many of these and preferred the original yellow one.

I remember when I was like 5, I had legendary jawbreaker. I don’t have really any other variants, but years later I got the fabled Jingle belle chompy mage!
Kickoff countdown was my favorite and main skylander i always used him if I could. And a core memory I have is my mom coming home from grocery shopping saying “I have a gift” and it being a seasonal skylander.

The only "rare" skylanders i own is kickoff countdown, camo and dark supershot stealth elf
Kickoff Countdown's best feature is that he adds the Kickoff Hat (+12 Speed, +10 Crit Hit) to your collection. If you're going for a no-damage run, reduced damage from better Armor doesn't help, so the KO Hat is a great option to have.

I love how he explained the rare figures to be “SUPER DUPER WOWOW HOLY MOLY LEGENDARY CRAZY RARE SKYLANDER ONLY 4 OF THEM WERE MADE!!” and when he shows the price its just like 300 dollars
im curious, if you could make a new skylanders game, what would the gimmick be?
i guess if i could, it would be something relation to be able to change accessories. for example, swapping weapons, any kind of additions like jetpacks or whatever. you would have multiple changable areas, one for each arm, one for each leg, one for the back, one for the head. somethin like that, but ofc some would only have 1 arm for example. or no legs or whatever

Jade Fire Kraken's gold highlights do look great. I also prefer QD Rattle Shake because his whole body (almost) is made of glow-in-the-dark plastic.

Scratch has always been my fav skylander, she was my main growing up playing swap force and onwards with my brother. Skylanders will always be special to me, it was the first thing i ever actually did with my brother that we both enjoyed doing together. Shes still proudly displayed on my shelf together with my bros terrafin (s3) It wasnt until last year i found out that scratch usually goes for 40$ resale, wich def made my special girl feel just a little bit more “rare” to me😅

The tiny baby ones that you got from the cereal. You could have the baby one and both a big one on the portal at the same time.
I remember after giants came out I found a gold S2 flameslinger in a bazaar. I was so hype and paid like £2 which was insane. I suppose because the sellers didn't know his worth. Admittedly now that gold flameslinger isn't TOO hard to come by, but it was definitely the coolest thing I had at the time
Haven't thought about my skylanders in quite some time, surprised theres still such a following for them. I think i still have mine put away somewhere. I remember my first figure being an early Drobot, got it before I even had a copy of the game.

I got a 35 dollar golden swashbuckler
The bag of chips with the glow in the dark figure hit me different. I wanted that figure so bad
I remember getting the translucent red Drill Sergeant variant as a kid.
I did remember at the toy fair of 2014 or 2013 if you go the skylanders section they will give you a free red dune bug
I had a bunch of skylanders some rare when I was young but sold them all for like 50 bucks and that was the biggest mistake of my life😭
My mom just sold my whole original skylanders and skylanders giant pack for 50$ today. The giants themselves add up over $200 as a whole. I remember playing with these as a kid and getting some rare ones from my brother who actually went out and scanned bags to get “rare” characters. Most interesting ones I had were Dino-bash, sunburn, and Sonic eagle variants among other ones. Never really thought about them being sold until my mom just randomly sold the whole thing without researching for $50. Sad.
I had the Frito-Lay glow in the dark snake guy and I loved him
I remember when my dad bought me the dark variation of donkey Kong for the Wii U I still have the figure to this day

out of all the skylanders I've collected over the years my top favourite would have to be jade flashwing, it took me a while before i got one, but one day my sister found one for me, i also have jade firekraken, two hard to get skylanders I've still been trying to get is hardboiled flarewolf and skylanders mini breeze.

I kid you not, I was able to get kickoff countdown when I was a kid and I still have him. While I do not remember how I got him since my memory is trash, I'm just lucky to have him.
I always went for quantity over quality, I’d rather have a bunch of regular Skylanders than a few cool looking ones, plus if the didn’t appear in game that color I didn’t want to buy it.
I had the dark Spyro which came with the 3ds starter pack in Australia
I have sold off most of my Skylanders, but I have held onto three items; all of my Kaos items. The Kaos Trap, the Kaos Trophy, and the Kaos Sensei figure.
I do could get every dark Skylanders, except Dark Bowser and Dark Donkey Kong, they, somehow, never shown up in stores in my country.
The thing about rare variant Skylanders for me is that unless they actually look different in game... I could not care less about them.
There's absolutely nothing stopping me from taking a regular version of a Skylander, and painting it to match a rare variant and it would be no different.
But if the in game character matches... then I'm interested.

honestly Giants was my favorite. Swap Force was when I started to fall out of it.
I have a friend of mine who has every single Skylander imaginators character. Including the most expensive ones like Row Bow, Kaos, and Chompy Mage. And I think he also has every single version of those but I'm not sure... Maybe I should ask him next time I meet him.
The first skylanders was my dream come true Christmas gift and SwapForce was the first game I ever saved up money for to pre order! Best game in my opinion as well.

Glad to see some Swap Force love! And seriously, there are definitely a LOT of really expensive Skylanders.. just to warn you, collecting one of every single figure produced would cost over $20k... Pretty crazy, right?

My easter trigger goes for about 600 euros in mint I'm pretty sure there was only one in every toys for us
