I went to a Disc Replay up in Michigan last summer, Saginaw location. Snagged the Land Trophy for $4. Absolutely goated find.
Still amazing what one can find just laying around, that's part of enjoyment and why I love watching skylander hunting videos.
Some days I'm surprised as well.
Sometimes I just want to go on a trip to USA just to collect some Skylanders that I want to collect. For me, it's quite magical to even see stores that you visit with so many figures.

I’m trying to complete my spyros adventure and giants collection because those were the most nostalgic for me as they were the first games I grew up on, hunting for a ghost roaster and wham shell ;)
I believe we still have Ghost Roaster in stock from today's update, but no Wham-Shell at the moment. They sell very quickly.

Ive seen a Grave Clobber in the wild but i made a *Grave* Mistake not buiyinh it, The reason is because i had an NFC card early when i was collecting Skylanders, Never expecting my collection to get so big.
It’s been awhile since I’ve been there, but I once got the Halloween fright rider from the livonia store. I don’t think I saw any of the stuff you got in this video though. I’ll be sure to check more often if they get this good of a stock.
I talked with some of the employees and they said they typically get Skylanders in a few times a week, so I would definitely keep checking.
About 5 days ago, I picked up a Xbox One trap team portal for $1! ($1 AUD, around 65 cents American or something)
I went to that Disc Replay in Livonia the other day and now I know why the table was so empty 😭

I've had the glow in the dark starter pack since giants came out, but never realized the portal was glow in the dark just thought cynder was
I think a lot of people are in the same boat. The figure is very obvious, but the portal is not as much. But if you look at the old boxes it clearly states that it contains a Glow-in-the-Dark figure and portal.
Hello! Soon, either tomorrow or in the early morning of the 8th, I plan on making a visit to Carbondale in Illinois to see the solar eclipse near it's totality. I don't know for sure if it's possible to do, but i am going to make a damn good effort to get there.
Anyway, aside from Disk Replay, what are some really good places to visit? Both in general, and for skylanders hunting.
I really wish there were stores like disc replay I n my part of Canada. Only places to get figures are thrift stores, which are very inconsistent

Grave Clobber was the 1st figure i picked up when i got back into collecting almost 2 years ago , and i found it for just a dollar at my local thrift store

@sclmatt they rarely ever have figures but when they do they're rlly good deals , I found that Grave Clobber for a dollar and a Nitro Soda Skimmer for 25 cents
I love watching these, i really want to go all over the country for something like this, it seems like fun
I've thought about making some sort of cross country journey or trying to hit all 50 states, but travel is very expensive so it's tough to do.

Hey man. It's me. It's the guy that had the messed up xbox one Skylander's Imaginators disc. It decided It just wanted to work. It might have something to do with me recently buying Ultimate. My Fallout 4 disc Used to also messed up to the point where it would crash a lot. Until I got ultimate, Then I re downloaded it and it worked perfectly fine. Couldn't do that with the imaginators can because you can't download a digital copy. But for some reason, It decided to slowly download itself. It was a lot of on and off. But one night I left it on 70%. It wasn't downloading. I downloaded a few extra games. I come back. And Skylander's imaginators was not in my queue anymore. :D

I've heard a surprising amount of stories of folks finding Imaginators at Five Below. Unfortunately I didn't have a Five Below in my area at that time so I missed out.
yeah they had entire starter packs for the 7th gen platforms, think my brother also got Grave Clobber there
battle creek is my local game store, and its always upsetting to see how poor the collection is there sometimes. every once in a super great while they get some good figures, and i buy most of them, its just wayyy too rare lol

Unfortunately, no. I do not have any recommendations for Alaska at this time. Try searching for used or retro game stores, flea markets, pawn shops, thrift stores, and anywhere that might sell used goods.
Hey i have a question: advertising the figures that are now in stock in the shop in this video would not cause the same problems as the updates on Saturday?
It's all part of The Great Experiment, but there's also a few other factors in play. 1) The items shown in this video are far fewer than the average shop update we had in the past. 2) Since we've moved the shop to a new platform we haven't fully stress-tested it, but early indications seem to show that it can handle higher capacity better. 3) Unless you watch to the very end of the video (which the majority of folks don't do) you wouldn't even get the announcement that new figures are available unlike the old shop update videos which told you in the title and the first 5 seconds of the video.

Do you ship skylanders from your website to finland?
Because i was thinking that the prices there are way cheaper than here, so would it be worth to order them from the us, or is the shipping cost something crazy?
Yes, we do ship to Finland. International shipping is certainly expensive, but I do everything I can to keep it as cheap as possible. It's all based on weight, so it depends what you order. Generally, you can get the best rates if the package weight is under 4 pounds. Above that the shipping cost really jump up, but I've still had some folks pay those prices. Either way, you'll be able to view the total at the checkout before you submit your order so you can make the decision for yourself.

You skipped over vidiots on Leonard street! Great little family store. The kentwood disc traders is definitely the weakest. Wow seeing you go to all my shops is crazy. One of the best video game stores in michigan is Pixel Perfect games in middleville

Saginaw is one of the few locations that I didn't get to visit on this trip.

So how does one distinguish a glow in the dark portal?
It's hard to describe with just words. It's kind of transparent. I should probably make a video or at least a short showing off the differences so you can spot them.

how can you tell what figures are worth picking up? Not familiar with skylanders but I ended up picking up a small bag at a thrift store for like $4 maybe about like 15-20 of them.
The knowledge comes from 12+ years of covering Skylanders and 3 years of buying and selling Skylanders. But if you got 15 figures for $4, that's a steal even if they are super common figures. They've been in demand for years. Due to Microsoft's restrictions on peripherals, the Xbox One portal is required to play on the Xbox One or Series X. Back in 2013-2016 the Xbox One was much newer and they didn't produce as many portals. So now we're in a case of low supply and high demand. The Xbox One Trap Team Portal regularly sells for more than $50

You're right, my collection is nearly complete, there isn't much more I need personally. But I run an online shop that sells Skylanders and I'm trying to help as many folks as possible complete their collections.
