It was very nice hearing you speak Dutch it is very nice being able to watch you from all the way from where you are to Arizona in United States of America God bless
I’ve never understood why places like this just get left like someone just got up and ran out in the middle of a normal day to never come back. Baffles me.
That's what happens when people die. Especially the elderly... they, for the most part, live alone in their older years and when they pass away if they have children the children seldom if ever go back to collect the personal effects of their parents. Unless of course, they were rich and had priceless antiques they can sell to make more money. Sometimes you can see that many of these homes have been gone through and items were taken. But adult children rarely want their elderly parents furnishings or personal effects.
@@Meriale46 My mom and I have discussed this very issue. Adult children generally have their own homes which are fully furnished and unless something is valuable or unique nobody wants or needs someone else’s furniture and contents of their entire house. Family members are sometimes estranged and have no desire to wade through a lifetime of someone else’s stuff.
Some of the items look like they were recently used. The record had no dust on it other items were in the same condition clean unusual with the amount of decay from ceilings and roof. I have noticed this in other videos as well. Thank you Leslie for taking the time to film and edit these videos for us to see.
Hello hello, my dear friend Lesley, Sunday evening - and a new video from one of my most favourite Urbexers is uploaded. How great is that! With absolutely beautiful background music you created once more a wonderfully formulated introduction. - Your style is unique. - When you explore a location like this abandoned farm house you always fill it with some kind of new life - just with your charming and adorable personality and your rich imagination, how the location might have presented itself back in the days when the former owners were still living there. - Simply amazing! - Oohh, and your description, when you were at your granddads house, and he gave you these candies, you found in that farm house, is really so personal and touching. - Just lovely, dear Lesley! - The doll under the glass dome, your were admiring, could be a representation of the virgin Mary holding baby Jesus in her arms. The blue cope symbolized her celestial significance, as far as I know. I loved seeing the beautifully carved furniture in the living room. - My mom also used to produce a lot of canned food, so we still have quite considerable amounts of glasses with fruits and jams, etc. in our basement. - This cabinet, you couldn't open with the key, might have been used for documents and paper files. - I was fascinated to see how quite frozen in time these living rooms and dining rooms presented themselves, - untouched for decades - legit time capsules! - I also loved hearing you talk Dutch, when you read the text of the warranty. Thank you very much for this once more wonderful explore video, which was such a pleasure to watch! - Stay safe, dear friend, peace and kindest regards. - Lots of blessings and greetings also to your dear brother Jordy.

Please help answer this, I’m honestly asking. Is it because of high taxes, or socialism that there are so many homes like this in Europe? I just can’t imagine abandoning such incredible furniture like the dining table and chairs, they are so beautifully made, but left to rot. Antiques are the ultimate in recycling, and they last a very long time because they are so well constructed.
Love the house layout. Practical, no wasted space. So homey..... people back when had poorer nutrition. So they never had a chance or extra time for FUN, fresh fruit/veges year round!!! The Netherlands have great efficient houses!!! Love all the ceiling timber’s....
Love watching you guys and can't wait for the next video. That machine you were asking about is a answering machine that was used before voice mail was used. Some if the things you find in the houses you explore bring back memories for me.So I usually know what they are when you come across them.I think it's amazing that you have such reverence for the memories of the people who lived in these places.Thank you for being so respectful of these places and the families who once lived there.Keep it up and we love you too young Man.Be safe.
Dear Lesley this was very much like your earlier videos without too much over guessing and you used your good voice which is strong but also soft and gentle. Seemed you didn't try to make it more than it was. Because, the house seemed to be empty of clothing and dishes, glasses, cookware that she had been moved perhaps to be cared for. Then, house left to be abandoned for whatever reasons. It looks as though it could have been fortified then, but I bet it had already begun to deteriorate when she left. Thanks for a good explore in your beloved country.
These places you visit are beautiful I've been watching for a while I have a question about the beautiful antiques inside many of these places?? If they're left too long in these derelict buildings they will be ruined forever

Much of the furniture is not "antique." Good reproductions at best. Similar furniture was bought up in England in the 1970's, brought to the USA and sold as antique - unusual and stylish but not that old. Border customs considers, for import taxes, that an object is antique older than 50 years. In Europe "antique" might start in the 1500's.
@@BatchelderPatrick I can understand that but doesn’t their family want any of that beautiful stuff. If I lived closer I would love to have it and cherish it as much as they did. What a great video keep up the great work.
I disagree there are some antiques there and it's not just about age it is also from what period they are from Empire, Queen Anne, Chippendale, or even French oh and art deco 1920_1945
Oh you're from Belgium, Ive been through it on the way to Amsterdam. Belgium is famous for its giant, huge rabbits, I've always wanted one. Some really pretty villages. Loving the urbex, more please! X

Very sad to see nobody left to stop the home from rotting away the perfume 4711 on the dresser my sister used when we were teenagers i have seen it in lots of abandoned places .Great find guys.
Hi Leslie I recognised that glass case that the doll is sitting in, as we have one in our family. It would have originally held a master clock like an apprentices piece which would have been exposed to show his handicraft. Very likely the clock broke down and because of its delicate complex nature it would have been too expensie to repair so Paula has very wisely placed a special doll in it. The glasswork is also handblown and a bit of a collector's item.
I love your show. The floors and the wall paper and furniture are so amazing in this episode. I like the table runner and the wall hangings when you first enter. I'm interested in craft and pause the show to try to see these things better. Thanks for making this.
This one was sad as you said... I felt intrusive for seeing this episode... Never felt that before. Thank you fir your hard work in sharing these precious lives.💗
Hi Lesley, it`s a shame that the city of this house can`t get to any owners & at least sell or give furniture away before roof collapses!! Beautiful dressers!!
Just amazing!! Much Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I always look forward to seeing you adventures in Beautiful places!! With Love, Kimberlee
I am a collector of antique furniture and I am shocked that they " the family " is letting those pieces of furniture wrought, they are worth a lot of money. Someone owns that land and home with its contents. If no one takes possession of its over few years, the government should step in, sell the land and its contents that are worth monetary value and give it to charity.
Amazing explore of a beautiful house. Its very sad to see the property left behind.im crazy to watch such a abandoned house which remember me that one day we all will leave everything in this world and will go back empty handed to the LORD😭
Hey Lesley another terrific find. Beautiful dinning room chairs what awesome carvings in the wood. Very nice twin cabinets with the marble on top in pink as well as the dresser with the green marble on top lovely. Those religious dolls were amazing so detailed. Liked all the pretty things. And that floor was neat. Stove with the picture panels was really cool. Great job. Love you Lesley. Brilliant find. Stay safe and Blessings for you. Hope this lady is at peace. Sweet home. 👍❣🙋♀️🥰🤗😊

My dad taught at a one room type school in Rhineland Manitoba Canada were the houses were connected to the house our was not we lived in the teachers house they had for teachers and family it was fun there especially if you forgot to go in the door to the right and not the left
It is not a doll, it is virgen Mary with baby Jesus on her lap and the Rosary I loved the shoes under the chair maybe she just arrived and took off her shoes to rest and placed her purse on the chair soo sad no one recover her stuffs
I don't know which I think is worse, people stealing everything, or having it all destroyed when the roof finally does cave in. I always wonder, who sat that there and how long ago. Thanks for sharing....again.
''Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder''-- this phrase totally fits you. At home we don't like to see cobwebs at all, but in those abandoned places they're considered as living entity, the way you admire their presence, I should say their contribution, that's absolutely amazing! Growing density of those webs inform us about the increasing age of such dilapidated buildings, just like wrinkles and graying of hair in case of humans. But we try to colour them and fix wrinkles, none wanna grow old easily, though growing old is also another kind of beauty. But look at these houses, they're looking fine with them. Some things look better when left unchanged. When in the beginning you said let's see, it almost sounded like(to me of course) your name Lesley. 😇 Many people usually don't like sun rays, may be fearing tan, good to see that you like the sun. I mentioned it as I love sun very much and happy to see someone who actually like it. So soothing and relaxing video. Absolutely peaceful. Enjoyed a lot. Stay blessed and happy. 🙏🙏👍👍😇😇

It costs money to retrieve furniture. Could be a lack of resources to collect items. Or maybe their surviving relatives live far away 🤔
U do really good videos love watching them and I could listen to you talk all day you sound very polite and love the accent too
Thank you Lesley! I loved hearing you speak Dutch for the first time in all these years!! ❤

That street looks like something you’d see around WW2..that’s the big one boys.
A shame for that beautiful old wood furniture & everything left in there to just go to waste..
Thanks for sharing your videos, I love your channel.
This one was sad as you said... I felt intrusive for seeing this episode...
Never felt that before.
Thank you fir your hard work in sharing these precious lives.💗
Such professional presentation of most fascinating material.
Keep up the good work!
Thank you.
Very nice explore, it is kind of strange, but convenient to have the barn so close to the living quarters. Thanks for the video.
This will be my house someday....as I have no kids and family...only me and my hudband. This is why it is imperative to write will and donate
Sweet home. 👍❣🙋♀️🥰🤗😊
My dad had exactly the same blue flashlight when I was a child... and suddenly I feel older 🥲
As kids, I think we all had a torch like that. Hahaha oh my yes, now I feel old too.
@@nannyofmany8315 hahaha that’s true 😜
Each time I am amazed to see everything has remained just like if the person is about to go home !!! Beautiful little farm ... And each time I am so sad to see how the time do its work of slowly destruction., inoxerably.
It’s such a shame it’s just forgotten but a lovely find 🌹
What you said is so right, it’s really sad seeing such beautiful house going to waste, how are you doing Claire,I hope you and your family are safe from the virus.
The soup tureen on the table looks like it may be made of pewter. It's beautiful. Do you bite your fingernails? You will ruin your teeth! hahahahaha Another great video, Lesley. Thanks for sharing it with all of us.
The Old homes look so much better than the Modern block houses. The Dining Setting looks valuable. The soup tureen looks like silver and would be valuable.
Hi youngs !!! Always a great pleasure to follow you ... Let's go on ! 👍😉
Great job yet again love you guys. Love from Texas

Great video, thank you Leslie! So very curious to know what that record was on the turntable.
My dad taught at a one room type school in Rhineland Manitoba Canada were the houses were connected to the house our was not we lived in the teachers house they had for teachers and family it was fun there especially if you forgot to go in the door to the right and not the left
When a place is so deteriorating like that do people ever go in and remove anything they can save like furniture or China ware?
That was very nice..Thanks for sharing..Love & Peace to Us All..💙❤
Awesome tour. Loved the music choice and filming. Great 😊
It is not a doll, it is virgen Mary with baby Jesus on her lap and the Rosary I loved the shoes under the chair maybe she just arrived and took off her shoes to rest and placed her purse on the chair soo sad no one recover her stuffs
Very interesting find...love the soup tureen..very nice...thx
Love your videos. Many thanks from Canada
Very beautiful house it always amazes me the amount left behind in homes 🏡
Many people usually don't like sun rays, may be fearing tan, good to see that you like the sun. I mentioned it as I love sun very much and happy to see someone who actually like it.
So soothing and relaxing video. Absolutely peaceful. Enjoyed a lot. Stay blessed and happy. 🙏🙏👍👍😇😇
