Interesting place what a shame the roof is so bad, wish someone would save this place. Thank you for all your wonderful videos. You are very respectful and you can see how much you love doing it. Take care and love ya
I know how you feel about old homes. I feel the same way. It would be wonderful to do what you do. Thank you for the peek into the life of that old home.
I love your answer to why you explore houses (18:26 minutes)....and I completely agree. I love the stories behind these places and appreciate the great respect you show for them. Well done!!
A lovely video of a lovely home. I hope the family dispute gets settled very soon. If they could repair the roof quickly this home could still be restored. Thank you Lesly for the tour! Well done my friend!
Leslie, I think you were supposed to be born when I was. The awe and appreciation you show for items and art that were made within my living memory, or within my Parents and Grandparents times speaks to your nature as a sensitive and curious man. Never lose your love of beauty and skill combined with the human idiosyncrasies that make a building…and then transform that building into a home. Beautiful job as always.🖤🇨🇦
How precious! It hurts my heart to see this abandoned over infighting. How sad what death does to the living. The worst comes out in people. :( they should at least agree to take care of the roof while the squabble
Leslie, each week I am amazed! You are remarkable. The Homes are incredible and yet would never be so without your beautiful narratives. I am awe struck by your emotion during ventures in time. Memories and stories are what each of us give the world and you describe with such caring. Thank-you so for your creativity in each travel thru time and space. In your journey your story has begun, what a grand walk you have started. Keep your tender emotion always! 🦋🌺🌸❤️
Seems there need to be something that the authorities, organizations and citizens can do on abandoned places anywhere, to go in a remove the contents and just give them to needy families instead of leaving them to rot. Get volunteers to go in and do the clean up and maybe restore these homes for the homeless or low income families. Thanks for the tour
Why should the public steal from the family? The house may be neglected but it still belongs to someone. There is still a deed to the house. Stealing is illegal, so you just can't go and take someone's belongings because you think someone else would benefit more.
@300books it doesn’t belong to the dead especially if relatives don’t want them or there’s no more kin. I have plenty of things but I’m not taking them with me after Im gone if my daughter doesn’t want it then I want her to let the public take it at least others can use it and cherish it.
@@sofiabravo1994 . When a person dies, their belongings go to the designated heirs according to the Will. The belongings are never up for grabs to the public. Sometimes the heirs have to be located especially when a person dies intestate (no will). All states or countries have laws governing inheritance. I know of no law anywhere allowing the public to freely help themselves to a dead person's belongings.
You were wondering what was in the cigar box in the kitchen cabinet; The heavy metal apparatus was part of a syringe used for giving injections to cattle. There was probably a glass tube that was inserted in the metal tube you held up that had opening on the side to be able to read the markings on the glass tube. The glass tube would have had a top to fasten on it that held the needle for the syringe. Everything was loaded into the glass tube, it was all put together and then you squeezed the handle to dispense the medication.
Another sad story of a family home decaying. You give a tour that brings the family to life, your respect and love of what you do, make it very pleasurable to watch. Thank you so much.
I loved this house. I love your story about why you like houses more than factories, etc. You're one of a kind, Lesley. Keep doing what you do and thanks for sharing.
I love your videos. Your enthusiasm and passion for exploring is infectious. Great narration and such respect for the former residents belongings is rare. Love you handsome. Keep up the good work
Sitting, listening, and watching contently as you bring back the life these homes once had through your stories. We feel the sadness, love & passion of each one because of you. I hope you know just how appreciative we are to you for giving one last breath of life to homes that were once overlooked and abandoned. May their stories live on, & on thank you so much for bringing all of them to us. You are loved very much ❤️
Well Leslie I thought you looked very handsome in your work clothes! Grandson that was an interesting farm house. It looks like they were very passionate about their business. You found some cool artifacts. Thank you so much. Sending much love from Central California💜😘🇺🇸😎
Leslie I have no idea why grandson popped in there. I dictate so I don’t make my thumbs hurt. Carpal tunnel and all. And I noticed that grandson was in there. I guess I’m gonna have to start pre-reading these things before I hit the post button. LOL love as always from LIZ in central California🤣💜😎😘🇺🇸
You could tell this had been a wonderful home at one time. I'm fascinated with all the beautiful furnitures that where all left behind. These pieces are worth saving, the craftsmanship is not like it used to be. Thanks for taking us on another wonderful road trip to another wonderful place and country! Blessings to you from Southern California☀️😊
Grazie x questo viaggio in questa casa dove in un tempo lontano c'è stato l'amore che ora è stato dimenticato. Sei un grande narratore e la tua voce fa scordare x un momento tutto ciò che è mutato nel tempo. Grazie Lesley
When you were talking about people's stories and how you like them, I was wondering about your story and what work it was you were coming from. You have such good understanding about people and the workings of society and lifestyles I was guessing teaching? Maybe a philosophy prof at the university?
oh what a beautiful house...felt really sad...so many things left abandoned...so many sweet memories... Thanks for showing us this lovely place.. take care 🙂
What a wonderful place you show some beautiful abandoned homes the story's you tell about the people who live there I just love to listen to them you have a lovely voice xxx
This is a nice house and an interesting life story you have presented with the usual respect , excitement and talent! Keep doing what you love! Thank you for this episode!
Thanks for another great video I love the way you treat the ones who are gone. Too bad all the fighting over the place. But things like this happen. The furniture still left in the house. Are beautiful. Stay safe the two of. Until the next one USA💜💙
Hi Lesley, what a beautiful Farmhouse, in the Netherlands! It`s a shame someone doesn`t buy it before roof caves in & destroys everything! The cow head you say is really a Steer head. As for the vases, I think both are Brass! In my opinion, Brass goes Black & Copper goes Green. Love all the furniture, baby`s room & beds, clocks, crystal glasses & dishes & especially all the wine she collected & made her own! Take care & stay safe, Love from Rantoul, Illinois USA
I love the Carom billiards table. We had a small one, and my uncle had a full-size one like the one in this house. I've lived in Canada and now live in England, and I've never seen one of these pocketless tables in either country.
Leslie you are my favorite explorer as well as your brother, you have a very kind soul. When my daughter and her family leave the USA and come to live in the Netherlands I wish they can meet you they will be moving there around March/April of next year her husband is in the military USAF. It won't be easy for them since they only speak english. Anyway I love the story of the woman of this house a friendly wine maker, I'm like you I like to see how other people decorate their homes from other Countries. I once lived in Germany for three years and wish that I saw more when over there. Thank you for sharing this lovely home.
I really enjoy these videos,it’s such a shame a lot of lovely expensive furniture is left to rot and could be restored I could not do your job seeing it rotting away like that.So sad.
Nice place to bad its roof is falling in..Just sad.. You are just a pup but I could listen to you talk all day.. Thanks for sharing your adventures Love them all."Love your respect for are Father Savior"Love you also..Hugs from the USA..❤💙💜
Its a sin. A family dispute leading to their own losses. That place is wonderful and still filled with family history and lovely treasures. About the wine, my mom used to make all kinds of wines. Strawberry, Elderberry, Pear, Blackberry Blueberry, Dandelion and of course Grape. My favorite was Cherry! So maybe the Mrs. was too! Love that unique gate. Thanx for sharing, 🇺🇸😎🇺🇸
Being able to bathe, use soap, shampoo is a privilege in life! There is nothing sad about a display of essential products families use while still on this earth. When I follow you and your crew through these homes and or houses I see life! I see people enjoying their home, each other and even that shampoo, that soap you call SAD!! No, not sad... happy and thankful! We all have to go sometime why not go with a smile because we had a home, a family and SHAMPOO! Keep up the good work. I wouldn’t be responding if I didn’t enjoy your channel😔
Those we're their prize bulls mounted on the walls. Weird but that's how they did it to memorialize them. What a beautiful home though. It should be saved before it's too far gone.
I noticed there were photos on the side table in the first child's bedroom, I'm surprised you didn't notice them. You usually see them quite quickly. I also love the tiles behind the fireplace. They might be common because everywhere has Dutch tiles but still great. Thank you for the great video. I appreciate all your videos. Joanne.

I adore how respectful you are of the living history of these forgotten homes. Have you ever captured or experienced anything 'paranormal' in all your journeys?
Do you think maybe that device you found in the kitchen that you didn’t know what it was could have something to do with placing the cork into the wine bottles. I bet it had something to do with the wine bottling
Great explore as always !! Shame about that roof this place wont be around much longer with all those holes . Glad you got here when you did . Really interesting to see that she made wine for people in the town as a hobby she must have been a special lady . Looks to her and her husband led a simple life but a good life may they both rest in piece . Great video as always !! 👍👍
I had been eagerly waiting for your video as it always brings joy and different kind of contentment.. Your hobby is actually very unique.. Interest and curiosity about abandoned places, it's more like interest to know those people, their stories, I've similar kind of interest, that's why I've taken anthropology as optional subject in my state psc exam.. And your interest is part of cultural anthropology.. Maybe that's why I also feel very much interested in watching such places.. It's something divine feeling.. Every house has a story and to redefine them is such a joy you can't resist.. I can always feel that joy.. Another great video as always..Always only furniture don't define places, choices of people living there also make it worth watching.. Stay blessed, happy and healthy.. 👍👍🙏🙏😇😇 Edit: At the end when you said here the magic happened and giggled 😆😆😆😆.. Though it's true creating(generating would be more appropriate) life is the greatest and wonderful magic in this universe..😇😇
The brass is gold the copper is like an orange color. However I think those were silver with allot of patina on them. (Which makes them look black)! What a beautiful house that once was.

I agree Leslie houses are homes and the stories of our lives and the happiness we hopefully had there. Love your videos thank you.
How precious! It hurts my heart to see this abandoned over infighting. How sad what death does to the living. The worst comes out in people. :( they should at least agree to take care of the roof while the squabble
It's too late for this beautiful place. Too much mold and water damage. :(
Нужно продать и разделить деньги !
Your narration is so soothing and respectful! Thank you.
