She absolutely crushed it as Rebecca. In the first season especially, her character arc was so difficult to pull off. You wanted the audience angry at her but still sympathetic towards her and rooting for her to have a change of heart. Not a lot of actresses could have made that work so well.
Yes, her eyes communicated such hurt & disappointment whenever Rupert cut her with a cruel remark, that you understood why she wanted to get back at him, even knowing she was hurting Ted.
@@jenniferrogers2492 the scene in "All Apologies" when Rupert tells he's having a baby with Bex. I told my wife that she would win an Emmy for that part alone. Turns out that's the episode she submitted for consideration when she won.
There’s a moment in the first episode where the manager guy has second thoughts about doing the wrong and she reminds him that it shouldn’t be harder than sneaking all the girls behind her back. This show did a great job of walking the line between being a good person, and balancing relationships: it’s like life it’s never black and white
Thank you Jason for presenting Hanna to the world ! We need more down to earth artist like her ,she is beautiful ,talented and a joyful human ,a breath of fresh air so needed in these days !
Also remember reading an interview where Hannah told herself she was going to get cast as Rebecca. Sometimes the universe just aligns; she’s made it big now.
Ted Lasso should go down as one of the greatest shows ever written & created. I can never recommend it enough. It's absolute perfection. This only proves that it was one of those rare shows where the stars aligned perfectly and the circumstances just came together to be able to make something so beautiful.
Part of the brilliance of this show, is that none of these actors were mega stars, or as Jason put it 'big fish', at the beginning. And through their writing, directing, acting, the production introduced us to so many wonderful, talented actors and characters - they allowed the whole cast to shine. Love this show.
I sure wanted the show to continue. They wrapped up way too many story lines, way too abruptly, in the last couple episodes of season three. This is one of the best shows I've ever watched in 60+ years of television. I haven't re-watched it yet. But I will when I need something to warm my soul. And Hannah? *Chef's kiss*
There's a great moment in Brett Goldstein's podcast where Hannah Waddingham tells a story about when she sang for Jason and the EP's one of them said "Its a shame Rebecca doesnt sing." After which Jason whispered under his breath "she does now"

We tend not to outstay our welcome...Also, many of our Comedies have just a one-man or 2 person writing partnership unlike USA Shows with whole writing teams dedicated to a Series and we don't come under the same commercial restraints as The BBC, for example. In England, usually, when a show peaks in popularity it is considered a good time to wind it down and bow out with grace. In the US they seem to want to ride the cash cow until the abattoir.
Hannah is awesome along with everyone else. I’m a bit underwhelmed by the last episode though. Ted not at the wedding? Ted should have gotten Dr. Fieldstone to talk with Rupert. The whole point is that Ted doesn’t give up on anyone.
Yes rather than the big manifest story that kept being pedaled. Just shout out that man’s name from the roof tops and send him flowers every day. I’ve never heard hannah mention his name
The writers/producers ruined that program. Just like Sex Education and Last Tango in Halifax. Original seasons are near perfect, then the ambitious producers elbow their way in and ruin everything. Money is untalented, always.
Jason truly found a gem in Hannah Waddington. She was fabulous, and truly made the show infinitely better. What a cast!
Waddingham

Her range was definitely necessary for Season 1, and she has been wonderful since then.

Hannah
Um did you miss the world wide sensation called Game of Thrones 🙄
I'm late to this post, but...Hannah Waddingham is so immensely talented. In a tremendous cast she still managed to stand out in the very best ways.
I sadly didn't know who Hannah was until TED LASSO, and now I can't forget her. Such a wonderful lady. ❤
She really is incredible!!!
Also remember reading an interview where Hannah told herself she was going to get cast as Rebecca. Sometimes the universe just aligns; she’s made it big now.
Yay for Todd Stashwick shout out!!

Oh my word what a brilliant story. That was just fate for her. Bloody great
Hannah Waddingham is just amazing at everything she does.
You CREATED a “big fish.”
I speak for all of us when I say “THANK YOU.”
Spot on. Hannah was awesome. We need season’s 4,5,6,7,8,9,10 please.☮️🇨🇦
Noy In England. We do 2 or 3 seasons and fet out at the top leaving the audience wanting more:)

No. As another great British ensemble said, you can’t reheat a soufflé.
Why ruin brilliance?
Todd Stashwick?! He was fantastic in Picard!

She is talented and full of charisma... but good lord, LOOK AT HER!!! She is painfully good looking... THE TOTAL PACKAGE...
I can honestly say I wouldn’t have watched past season one if it wasn’t for Hannah. She made the show for me.
Please bring back the show for just 2 more seasons.... Please.... Please 🙏🏿

Thank you Todd Stashwick... our Captain Shaw!!
I could not take my eyes off her in every scene she was in.
Thank you Jason! I fell,in love with Hannah because of this show.
Loved her in The Fall Guy too.

I know Jason Sudeikis who voices the 🔴Red Bird from The Angry🪶Birds movies
She's a 30 year overnight success
The star of the show
Hannah has so much talent.
What?! She was the shame nun in got?!?! What? No way… noooo
Hmmmm… googles says it’s true…. Holy sht she is great
Best decision
Love her!
She owes Todd Stashwick a yearly expensive bottom of wine. Well done, sir! And please watch 12 Monkeys!

Sorry, Ted and @mindfullymellow2323, the universe doesn’t give a shit about the show or you or anybody else. Just doesn’t.
Take another stab at that.
