  • I’m trying to make this $50 gem unlock remotely. I need your intelligence.
The code I’ve written is questionable, but it gives me what I need to move forward.

My challenge is sending a signal to the onboard controller.
If I send it to the motors or sensors, it’ll require steppers and crap.

Hey nice work, hope you got it to work your way. I have one same model and a doorbell with camera and rfid, it has unlock function (one relay C, NO, NC). Can you help me with where can I tap in to unlock, with the rfid fob? The unlock function has 3 sec so it will close the contact for about 3 seconds minimum. Thanks in advance.

The problem with turning off wifi when device is not awake is that you would have to physically touch the unit to wake it before you could send a wifi command...... very inconvienient if you plan on controlling the unit with your smart phone etc...
Otherwise, I like what you are trying to do!!!

All that I can suggest is to try and use duct tape. It fixes everything for me😁
