- Quick change to the plan due to koi behaviour and stupidity leads to needing a new microscope to inspect for parasite
Will this cheapy work?
Quick gander at the pond clarity and all seems to have improved to a level that I can now see with ease the bottom drain in the pond.
Fish all seem ok except my shusui who is flashing against the pond window.

You can’t beat a nice smooth bottom (unless it’s on a bloke)🤣😂👍. I have a long thin pond so have the same issue with the bubbles from the bottom drain keeping the skimmer from working fully so I do same as you, simply turn off air from bottom drain for a couple of hours a day😊👍. Water is getting better so you’re on the right track👍😊. That microscope is interesting, good luck with your scrapes🤞🤞🤞.

@@koifishjohnny as long as you can see it. You can get a decent microscope for about £120 . You definitely should invest in one as it must for koi keeping

I have a shelf in the pond that the koi do their flashing on. Probably a good idea to have an area in the pond where they can safely scratch themselves on. Good luck with the scrape Johnny. I have one of those microscopes. It's gathering dust somewhere^^ It will interesting if it works for you.
