- The plaintiff says the defendant is her sister-in-law, who she claims kidnapped her rebellious teenage daughter. She’s suing for attorney fees and emotional distress. The defendant denies kidnapping her niece and claims she actually rescued her after she ran away. She’s countersuing for harassment and defamation of character.
The defendant should have picked up the phone and said "she's here safe and sound"...that wasn't too much to ask for. If she really wanted to 'help' the child. Sounds like she did it out of spite...
Or she can call her brother who is the defendants husband

JM should know better than anyone that black and brown missing and run away child cases are neglected. He needs to see the way Judge Milian handled a case like this one. I’m pretty frustrated with how dismissive he was toward the plaintiff in the beginning.
See this is why I don't like it when Judge Mathis jumps to conclusions so early in the case because as the case goes along, the plaintiff was right.
Right, I have anxiety, PTSD, etc. When people treat me how he does when assumes throws me off. Its a sad feeling to be right & mistreated.
I'm not sure if it's a strategy but at the same time, if you're the plaintiff you need to be on point with your case and words. She was confusing things and he had to repeatedly ask her the same questions before her case was clear. Also, this plaintiff was a defendant on an other case she lost because she was lying.

Definitely worth investigating, but keep in mind a lot of teenagers run away out of a desire to not have to follow rules. Not saying this is the case here, but kids running away is not always because the parents (or anybody else for that matter) did something wrong. Sometimes the kid is wrong and doesn't want discipline.
Okay the way she said things sounds like her child was in foster care until she was at LEAST 4 ....alot of traumatic things can happen in foster homes. 13 is about the age repressed memories -particularly sexual abuse memories- will emerge bc of puberty and such. This is exactly what it sounds like.... it sounds like shes not listening bc no one is listening to her....her running away are more screams for help shes trying to get out ... this very well could easily NOT be the case but honestly it matches up and its very likely, as well as other possibilities... she spent alot of her child hood in a foster home bc her parent was on drugs...that alone can fuck someone up and make them feel like their parent doesnt care for them at all.... if it was a case of simply being rebellious....she wouldnt have ran so many times for so many years. That shit maybe lasts a year and u run away 2 or 3 times -even that is alot but its not YEARS and u dont typically start at 13!!‐

The defendant was wrong smh she didn’t say anything about what the mother did to the daughter that would cause her to run away. Kids run away for minor things all the Time. And her brother was wrong as well if he allowed it.
Probably just didn't let her be fast like the defendant allows.
No, ma'am, their behavior wasn't typical. We had to be in the house, when the street lights came on. If I even dreamed about sneaking out, I'd have to wake up and apologize.
Folks, it's really simple. Someone else's child comes to you as a run away, hand them over to CPS or the authorities. No matter how much you care, how big your heart is, you will end up being an instruction between the parent and the child. You can still be there for the child as a support system and not harbor them.
In cases where u think/know somethings wrong and want to help and have known them for a while and the child trusts u...u contact cps inform them...after so many times of the child running away to ur house, u say they can stay here bc they feel safe here im worried about them going back home... depending on the state, theyll let the child stay there for at least a day or 2
The defendant pissed Judge Mathis off with everything she said because he told the plaintiff there was nothing he could do for her while the case was still open and still turned around and granted her judgment
Im not excusing the defendant's actions but im curious about something. Since the defendant is her sis in law, why didn't the plaintiff's BROTHER pick up the phone and tell his sister any information about HIS NEICE 🤔🤔
Omg what is wrong with people?! This is why the generation coming up is so effed up, irresponsible adults! How tf you not gone answer the phone and you have a persons kid that been missing?!
I read a comment on another video that you already know what type of mood the judge gonna be in when he wears these frames and they won’t lying 😂😂😂
How as a mother, she wouldn’t have the natural inclination to connect another mother to inform that your child is safe with me.... the defendant tried to come off so righteous. Her syllogism failed poorly!
Why is the judge saying if a child runs away and someone has them in their house when u want that child home is helping them? NO. Its called harboring a runaway and is actually illegal. What the hell....😬that sister in law has something wrong with her.
Wrong your an abuser Thaz why you so scared
@@bobleeswagger2290 the hell u talking about?
@@bobleeswagger2290 you okay?
Point blank period she needs to be a better mother. You worried about getting paid you need to address why your daughter is in so much pain. !!
i don't understand how she believes she can keep someone else's child in her home and not speak to the mother. She appears to be an intelligent young woman. I don't think she would be happy if someone did that to one of her children. Terrible behaviour
Honestly the guy who pronounces the names need a medal of freedom.
🤣
The defendant is a spiteful peice of nothing for doing what she did and then threatened the plantiff at the end like she can't bleed herself.
She said I asked if I could clean her house she got mad😂 I believe her cause chics who seem to be so shallow and into their outer appearance be slobs 😂😂

If my daughter came home with a hickey...she’ll have a ring around her damn eye...
Say it again!!!!
Rite
That's just gonna teach her to hide the next one 😙
"Judge, I did drop her off at a DCS because I didn't want to be in the middle of the mess." Ma'am you put yourself in the middle when you picked her daughter up and had her in your house for 3 weeks. If she felt the girl was in danger being with her mother, she should've contacted authorities as soon as she picked her up. Case dismissed. Goodbye.
The way the mother is representing herself in court is slight insight on why the teenage daughter is acting out.
She looks so familiar. She should have talk with the mom especially if sh wanted to help the daughter. Sad case hope this is a building of the young girls testimony and she will be all she’s predestined to be. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽❤️
The plaintiff or defendant? I think the plaintiff looks familiar asf
The plantiff was on JM show before. Her ex boyfriend sued her.

@@MrsB320 thank you! I was trying to remember her the whole case lol
She took sides instead of trying to mediate the situation
I definitely feel a little nastiness coming from the defendant. Soon as she started talking in a sweet little voice and smiling at the same time I can tell she isn’t as nice as she trying to come off.
She should’ve just called the mom. That literally made no sense not to
Something has to be wrong at home for a child to runaway several times and the sister in law should have called and told her sister in law her child was safe at her home
She kidnapped the child and tried to deny it but got caught by the judge
Definitely should have spoke to the mom and came to an understanding… “she’s here, she’s safe… I’ll keep her here until…. I’ll let you know…” everything aside, that’s her child at the end of the day.
Ma'am....what's preventing u from picking up the phone and telling her that her daughter's safe??? No wonder the plaintiff thought she was being kidnapped.
she doesnt want her daughter to end up like her
“They don’t do that no more” took me tf out😂
When kids run away.... it’s something they’re running from.
Ppl keep arguing kids run away over dumb stuff all the time.... they dont start as young as 13 and do it for 4 YEARS something is WRONG
Or something they're hoping to find.
I’m disappointed in Judge Mathis for not telling this woman flat out she was dead ass wrong!!! How she thinks it’s appropriate to have somebody child beneath her roof for 3 weeks and not contact the parent is beyond me!
In my state it's against the law to harbor a run away. So with that said to me in my mind is kidnapping.
That lady her daughter is currently still in the run.... something is not right and you have a pending case????
She should have at least texted her saying she had her daughter.
Defendant must not know you cant keep a minor in your home , she should have spoken with her mom, to tell her she ok, that she can stay a few days, and keep in touch with the mom.
The judge needs to stop, that is considered a form of kidnapping
That's what I said.
What's going on over there???? If running away is a constant, SOMETHING IS WRONG!!
