    If you want to know the largest, most efficient, cheap, clean and rapid BRT in the world, come and visit Jakarta. You will be overwhelmed by how efficiently BRT become the backbone of the rapid transportation in a Mega city like Jakarta.

      Jakarta brt are a joke, in other countries regular bus even more faster compared that silly brt.

    • @ery8885
      @ery8885 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@brclnafc456 your empty argument is actually a joke, what country do you compare to? with a massive population like jakarta and without any established metro system right now, brt system in jakarta is much more efficient compare to personal vehicle (motorbike,car,etc). You just cant compare to country/city with less population and already establish metro system !

      Bernard San first of all, he said the Jakarta BRT has become the ‘backbone’ for the ‘mega city’ like Jakarta. For having millions of people commuting together, surely it is indeed efficient as he mentioned to be the ‘backbone’. Also, I am wondering about your so-called quality of the bus because I think the Jakarta’s buses are already good and clean. Even Singapore buses are quite similar to Jakarta’s. Not to mention that, not all the European countries have good and clean buses tho. If you want to talk about quality of public transportation, look at Asian countries.

    • @kristoimanuel13

      Bernard San to make it fair, the Paris bus video was uploaded 4 months ago. So don’t be afraid that I took an old video portraying the bus quality.

    BRT cannot be the solution,this where we go wrong.remember those other countries like Canada have many other forms of public transport e.g commuter trains,subways and many more.BRT is one of the system that supplements other forms of transport to provide alternatives in public transport.Nairobi has no BRT infrastructure,that red line cannot be BRT,BRT is a roadway not a one of the lanes of the highways and it will be hard to implement it in this chaotic city.Also,Nairobi has a big population,BRT will never be the solution.We need to revamp transport system in nairobi ,a master plan for the next 20 years to fully implement,that will include rail systems,BRT,cyclists and many more.

    It's not that bad, you can't start with number 2 before number 1 in counting the same applies in all aspects of life and economic development of individual person and community at large. There is a need to use both brt, commuta train. And any other sot of transport but Improvement will be made basing on the available resources. We go one step at a time.

    The current set set up for BRT buses cant work in Kenya we need specific road set up not some red markings on the highway the government should go to Tanzania to learn more

    • @t0n0k0
      @t0n0k0 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are different ways to implement BRT, you don't always need dedicated roads, you can have dedicated lanes as well. TZ decided on the former rather than the latter, that doesn't necessarily means it's better or worse.

  • @diego90XD

    BRT is good only in medium/small cities but you can't pretend to build just BRT and not supported by metro lines
    The best example is Bogotá Colombia which it has the biggest BRT system, and now it's unsafe, slow, collapsed.

    • @ralebr
      @ralebr 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      One thing does not eliminate the other. I think that, due to the speed of implementation and low cost, the BRT can be implemented, and then, calmly, the subway lines are being built. Bogotá is now calm to continue with the subway, because it will have the BRT giving support.
