@@Thriftshoppin I was planning on building a few cinquems, but that doesn't look practical now. Debating on buying some prebuilt 4 star gear for tech, or just going straight in building one with the new armor. And I already have melee from level 20, so I might wait on that a bit more.
I already have a Fixa Fatale 5 cinquem. It was 35m. Do you recommend going your special build to mesh with cinquiem. Or just take the 5% from 5 repeated augments and go full potential build?
IMO take the 5% reduction and be happy. If youre using dualbles as a 5th slot you can use both types for 1% more. If floor potency isnt important to your build all the new stat capsules (spi, sta, gua, deft) can be used for extra reduction as well
I have 3x vios armors which are somewhat heavily augmented for range pot, do you think I should upgrade to the schwarzgarde for the boosts or just wait till the June update and upgrade then?
you don't *have* to but you def could work on one Schwarzgarde armor if you have a desire to work on gear, but Vios is completely serviceable until June content.
good summery. I got lucky so far with the new units but cinquiem will just be a pipe dream because by the time I can fully upgrade one a new weapon serie will be added. xD
YUP. I don't think anyone expected the 600 Photon scale cost. My jaw dropped cause I literally just sold my Relik before the update so Cinquem was the next destination haha
I shall be keeping my cinclum boots, cause 1. Relik still too damn high, and these do the same thing (more or less) plus they look cool. And I snagged a color variant for dirt cheap. And I will be investing into the next augment scratch for those skips while doing eqs when I can, relik IS good. But over priced, shame I’m stuck at level 1 potential for a while T^T
I agree with everything you said! It really is a shame that Relik had such a low droprate. They are just unreal priced for no reason aside from how rare they are. Already outclassed by Level3 Item Potential Cinquem lol. Grats on the color variant! I am going to remain patient for a CV Cinquem Spear too!
Would Cinquem at +50 and lvl 1 limit break out damage Evolcoat at +50 lvl 4 limit break??? While I gain 35 ATK power with Cinquem I do lose out on 8% potency, and I have no idea which of those 2 stats hold more value.
Both are valuable together. Potency is a multiplier for your Attack power. So you want a healthy balance of both. For example, the 9 atk difference between Cinquem and Relik is enough to make Level 3 potential cinquem just as strong as level 4 potential Relik (5% potency difference)
The day calculation isnt 100% correct when the trigger quest give us photon scales as well. When the trigger quests doesn´t give photon scales then it is 100% correct.
When we get confirmed information on what we will recieve from the quest that is. I have heard zero information on what rewards will be given from the seasonal UQ
I play multiple classes but main Fighter and bouncer is second favorite. I was about to invest on Cinquem Knux/DS but on my first Falz UQ i got Relik Knuckles. I dont know if the Relik Knuckles are better than my greaga fixa attk 2 but i will use them anyways and with Cinquem i will go for some jetboots for my bouncer.
The damage is better than your Greaga Knuckles but its up to you whether you want to reinvest into a whole new weapon. Greaga is still great for all the content we have. If you are curious about the damage calculations between Greaga and Relik I have a video that goes over those data calculations
@@Thriftshoppin Thanks for the info! i saw that video when you released it but i turned off my brain at the moment and forgot about it because i just back from work, lol. Yeah even with a fivla attack 1 wand and another greaga talis/rod fixa attk 2 as a techer i can do everything just fine, but i want to prepare for the supposed hard content which is going to release in some months.
@@Thriftshoppin Not a problem, just saying. But i don't remember how many. If 8, then uq priority for time/value could be something like falz>mine>renus>others. What do you think?
What are your thoughts on the Vijf varients? I'm rather pertial to them mostly due to the abundance of strong fixas. On ship 3 you can get 9% PP cost reduction for the magnus units for just 1.5m.
If you're seeking out units stats that are not potency then yes! There are insane deals to find in the Vijf armors! The same happened in the Lv.20 meta with Cattleya/Vialto/Qual De armors. Everyone wanted Geant and you could nab Fixa 5's for so cheap
@@Thriftshoppin Yeah, really happy to switch into them, gotta wait on Resol Forest to get the ones I want for Bouncer though. Dual weapon bouncer has it rough with augments though.
Ok so did you even factor in the Reliks innate pot compared to the Cinq? Because without the PP reduction you're losing in DMG and to have Cinq PP reduction match the Reliks you'll need 10 diff name augs. When comparing you need to factor in everything. TBH they are both comparable in terms of dmg
Can you clarify "innate pot"? If you mean the effects of the potential, absolutely. Those are going to differ and are a case by case basis of what you find important. If you find the pp consumption more valuable from Relik than some extra damage on Cinquem, thats your decision. Additionally, not everyone can go tech based Relik. Cinquem offers *some* PP reduction without forcing a specific multiwep. As for damage calculations, what you see on the video are accurate with the augment build listed. In previous videos i've mentioned the importance of "battle effectivemess" and how it isn't easily quantifiable in calculations like these but always need to be considered.
@@Thriftshoppin Lets make this very simple, if we compare the Tech based weapon just the weapon itself with no augs. Would you say that the difference in ATK would outdamage a weapon who can pull of an extra skill? So example if your Cinq allow you to cast Zonde 4x at 300 dmg each and Relik 5x at 250 dmg, at the end Relik will do more damage. These number are fictive but does the difference in ATK that huge to affect the total output dmg? Since most damage comes from skills and not auto attacks. Or like a weapon who crits more often with a lower Pot % than a higher Pot % weapon
@@YuukiMochizuki your hypotheticals dont make it simple. I understand your logic, though. "If more pp consumption allows for an extra photon art rather than a normal attack, the damage observed is different" However for that to matter youre looking at upwards of 20+ attacks to see enough observed PP save to cast an additional skill. I get where youre coming from and i will resort back to my previous statement. Battle effectiveness is difficult to calculate but should be always considered in a build. And lets be real, the numbers we are talking about mean little when all current content can be cleared with 4* gear. But for a player looking to progress gear has two current top tier series to choose from: Cinquem or Relik
There’s no dual type boss potency souls so wouldn’t you be doing less damage anyways if you used geant armor for a different class? The pure potency augments that work for all damage types are bad so would the fact that the new armors have only 1 potency type really matter? I guess you always have the option to change it if you have good fixa on geant/greas. Although, if you have an addi on it that would be a waste to use it for another class that’s not that damage type. Maybe if you want to play a melee class but you main a tech or range class the new armor wouldn’t be a bad alt armor choice? Most(or all idk I haven’t looked) of the potency augs over 1.5 are just for a single damage type. So it just seemed like a weird thing to point out. I’m probably missing something tho. So like, realistically, Can you even augment for hybrid on geant without it being 💩 for Schwarz not having dual damage types to matter ?
Dark Falz drops a new boss soul called Eradi Soul I/II/III. At level III it gives 2.25% Potency. Thats why I pointed it out cause theres finally a boss soul that makes multitype builds actually feasible. And also cause a lot of discussion prior to the release of the weapons was about how a multitype build could take advantage of this Item Potential since you could do for example 2 items with Gigas Technique and 2 items with Gigas Precision, and split a lot of augments like that and get some extra benefit out of it. But you're right; multitype builds are always going to lag behind other builds but this weapon kinda-sorta is our first weapon that provides actual bonuses for going into weird, multitype augment builds. So now currently for a Mutlitype build you would have Eradi Soul III / Mastery / Domina / Dualble as your 4 staple capsules and then use the 5th for whatever you choose
@@Thriftshoppin ooooooh I knew I was missing something! Not playing the game for 2 weeks will do that. 😭 thank you! Now I can make my dagger mage wishes come true 💫
So example: You are using Daiyl Soul III, Gigas Might III, Alts Secreta III, Addi Deftmel, and Deft Might on your weapon. If you have all units using the same augments, thats 5 total unique augments. So 5% PP Consumption Reduction. Now, if on one of the Units you replaced Deft Might for Spi Might, that is a NEW unique augment. So 6% PP Consumption Reduction.
Correct. I call them the same "family". Since you can have as many capsules in the Basic category but only one of a family (Tech i/ii/iii/S, Deft/Spi/Sta/Gua Tech)
Still super good. No reason to change unless you really want to go for extra potency. Swapping your Vidalun for Schwarzest is a net loss of 45 HP and a 1.0% Damage resist/2%Potency/3PP net gain. IMO that is a good tradeoff. Granted it requires you to re-invest into a new unit which is going to be the reason most players dont pull the trigger for such small differences in a build.
@@Thriftshoppin luckly my vidalun is still plain Vidalun with +40 no augments, so is it good to change thay units to schwaz units? (this case maybe ranged one since im gu/fo)
currently using 1 Viosel on each character as the aliment resist is nice and 2 Vijf Arga for my bow braver/hunter (i swapped back from tetcher to hunter as i wanted a simpler build) and 2 Vijf Sheza boots bouncer/fighter the setup works pretty well for how i like to play.
Yeah if you're invested in previous armors it's not as simple as we all thought about the choice to move over. I'm still sticking to my geants. No way I am spending money on more augments haha
@@Thriftshoppin i was intrigued with the newarmors but running dual types kinda not worth as what i have is going to suit better, still need to finish augmenting everything, but i dont mind the grind sometime you just get into the zone an trme flies, think im still missing a Dread 3 an a Ret Domina on one and just a Mastery 3 on the other and then ill decide on what to add in 5th as everything gets upgraded, i kinda sold my yellow triggers cause i needed cash XD
Thats up to you. There is a point in a tank build where extra HP becomes useless so if you feel like you are too tanky, these are the best option to replace into since it will give you offensive fiepower without losing a lot of health
it doesn't matter where its augmented, if you have multiple of the same augment on your gear it counts as one "Unique Augment" and therefore affects the Cinquem Item Potential by only 1%. This is why achieving 10%+ PP reduction on the Item Potential is difficult and honestly not worth it.
I feel this! Its why i wanted to provide those "how many days" examples. Some players just cannot feasibly do all the uq's necessary to get scales so they should skip this series
If you have a Fixa attack 3 or higher Greaga, your damage is fine. I think something to consider is "what content demands anything better than my current equips?" The answer is: Nothing. All the content is achievable in 4* gear. But it's fun to upgrade into new things.
lets be real, most of ppl are at lvl0 pot at best lvl2 (very few) not to mention the 2nd effect unique augments? bruh that's kinda shit for real.. meanwhile, me: vijf variants for dual stats build.. trust me.. it's good and fixa availability is high..
In all honesty the Item Potential is a noob trap. Plenty of players are going to sacrifice many stats to get a couple more PP consumption reduction. However, for a multiweapon build you might be able to get to 12-ish % PP consumption reduction with the amount of capsules that would be available for your build. All in all, 5% PP consumption reduction isn't bad. Add some food and Fixa Performa units you can easily get to 15% or more PP consumption reduction.
So Sega lied and screwed everyone again. They said these weapons wouldn't be better than relik. Relik is basically useless if you're able to afford the n-unlock substitutes or grind 24/7.
They are technically not that much "better" if you compare clean to clean, fixa 1 to fixa 1, etc. But as we all know, the chances of Fixa Relik are basically next to nothing and we can expect way more Fixa Cinquem. So by that logic we are not comparing the weapon series' as they intended, rather what is actually going to be occurring which is Clean Relik vs. Cinquem Fixa 2/3.
Ok so I did some testing of my own and it seems to me this data sheet is incorrect. I have a relik fixa attack 3 the meta augments and potential lv 4 vs the cinquem fixa attack 5 same augments and lv 4 potential. I am literally only hitting 1 point harder on all of my magic spells with cinquem. But if I had a lv 4 or 5 attack relik it would hit harder. I love your deep dive videos but I would like you to look deeper as I am confused and you probably are to now. I guess 376 attack and 27 percent potency is better than 26 potency and 385 attack
Ok so I did some testing of my own and it seems to me this data sheet is incorrect. I tested on lv 15,39, and 44 monsters. I have a relik lv 3 fixa attack with the meta augments and potential lv 4 vs the cinquem lv 5 fixa attack the same augments and lv 4 potential. On average I am hitting about 2 points harder with the cinquem depending on what magic spells I use. But if I had a lv 4 or 5 fixa attack relik it would hit harder. I love your deep dive videos but I would like you to look deeper as I am confused and you probably are now to. I guess 376 attack and 27 percent potency beats out 385 attack and 26 percent potency. Once again I appreciate all of your great videos if we could figure this out it would be great for the community. So they can make a logical decision on which weapon they actually want to go for.
Absolutely. Which is kind of a feelsbad though. I really hope once level 60 is here we have clear gearing paths and content that will require time/money investment just to even be considered for the difficult stuff. As is, an entire 4* set and the weapon limit broke to +50 can get access to all content right now
Cinquim is not worth the time. I also dont believe the dammage calculation of the AoE Relic Potency. I have one and it does 600 dammage on every target around me. Also at the end it doesnt even matter what we believe, Cinguime are not woth, we get better weapons soon anyways and there is no content for it being worth the time to upgrade
The Relik AoE potency proc isnt factored into the damage calculation. Tough to calculate since its a 10 second CD and repends on if you hit weak spots or not. Super finnicky. And I agree, current content doesnt deserve much investment but a lot of players want something to work on and the Cinquem series is a good weapon. Much cheaper than Relik too.
To be fair the grind for 650 wouldn't have been bad at all if we had the traditional level 4 potential cost of N-EX cubes. But they sure did throw a curveball at us with the 600 Scale cost for Level 4

I love your videos the information you put in, and the effort you put into these videos, keep up the good work. 👍
Thank you! I super appreciate this! These videos are a blast to make and I am glad there is so much positive reception surrounding them. Much love~
@@Thriftshoppin So in that case going from 26 potency to 18 but gaining 35 extra ATK power would result in more overal damage???
You can drop scale on retem uq too if I am not mistaken.
I was notified of this after I uploaded! I feel like such a dummy! You are in fact correct. Retem UQ's also provide scales.
"If more pp consumption allows for an extra photon art rather than a normal attack, the damage observed is different"
However for that to matter youre looking at upwards of 20+ attacks to see enough observed PP save to cast an additional skill.
I get where youre coming from and i will resort back to my previous statement. Battle effectiveness is difficult to calculate but should be always considered in a build.
And lets be real, the numbers we are talking about mean little when all current content can be cleared with 4* gear. But for a player looking to progress gear has two current top tier series to choose from: Cinquem or Relik
thanks Karen-senpai
At my pace by the time I finish collecting the scales the next 2 regions will probably be out. :,)
I feel this! I have about 1-2 weeks to go before I have enough scales for level 3 Potential and it feels like it will take ages for level 4
So if u have the same 5 augs in your armor the potential to the weapon doesn’t work ? Right ?
So example: You are using Daiyl Soul III, Gigas Might III, Alts Secreta III, Addi Deftmel, and Deft Might on your weapon.
If you have all units using the same augments, thats 5 total unique augments. So 5% PP Consumption Reduction.
Now, if on one of the Units you replaced Deft Might for Spi Might, that is a NEW unique augment. So 6% PP Consumption Reduction.
@@Thriftshoppin oh okay ty 💯 #thatistheway
It seems like Technique III and Technique III S are treated as the same augment :(.
Correct. I call them the same "family". Since you can have as many capsules in the Basic category but only one of a family (Tech i/ii/iii/S, Deft/Spi/Sta/Gua Tech)
what about Greas Greas Vidalun Build?
Strange I could have sworn I was subscribed to you months ago
No stress! Thanks for supporting the channel all those months ago and continuing! Much love~
@@Thriftshoppin no doubt mane! Keep it rollin
wait a lil bit more, I'm pretty sure they gonna give away photon scales from event shop. hopefully~
Absolutely! I would also assume limited time quests to offer some as well in the future
Why on earth was there a Wind Sword user in a boss fight with a light weakness
Dunno! Maybe that's what they invested in? Sad thing is it matters little since the DF fight is so free!
Should I switch to the new armors as a tank build as I'm using the +70 and +40 hp armors
Thats up to you. There is a point in a tank build where extra HP becomes useless so if you feel like you are too tanky, these are the best option to replace into since it will give you offensive fiepower without losing a lot of health
If anything I'm just gonna use the new Might III's, can't remember the name ATM but the ones with the PP and damage. Either way thx for the breakdown
Spi Might! Yup, super good. And you're welcome! Thanks for the support~
is the ability on all weapon and armor should all be different? has anyone confirm it yet to get 15%?
it doesn't matter where its augmented, if you have multiple of the same augment on your gear it counts as one "Unique Augment" and therefore affects the Cinquem Item Potential by only 1%. This is why achieving 10%+ PP reduction on the Item Potential is difficult and honestly not worth it.
@@Thriftshoppin thank you for the explanation , but that's too bad then ...
dmn at my pace itll take me 1 or 2 years to complete a cinquem weapon potential
I feel this! Its why i wanted to provide those "how many days" examples. Some players just cannot feasibly do all the uq's necessary to get scales so they should skip this series
will i lose so much damage if i use greaga weapon?
If you have a Fixa attack 3 or higher Greaga, your damage is fine. I think something to consider is "what content demands anything better than my current equips?"
The answer is: Nothing. All the content is achievable in 4* gear. But it's fun to upgrade into new things.
I just buy a pot 3 cinquem weapon to skip half of my grinding process instead of grinding for a month and fear a new weapon series will come out then
if it works it works! Yeah i am definitely curious as to what they will release for level 45 content.
lets be real, most of ppl are at lvl0 pot at best lvl2 (very few)
not to mention the 2nd effect unique augments?
bruh that's kinda shit for real..
meanwhile, me: vijf variants for dual stats build.. trust me.. it's good and fixa availability is high..
Dang it. Those P2W potential bypass are op.
They definitely help! Those will most likely be back on April 27th's AC Support Scratch
All the photon scales that need for this shit doesn't worth the time. Either a relic or wait for 6* series, I have gretigga is enough.
Time to Rich for me, i have lvl 1 unlock pot 50 ea, lvl 2 65, lvl 3 48, the time has come.
Let me know what island you're buying!
@@Thriftshoppin keep money for ac future, augment, costume.
They need 2 chill with the scales from this ridiculous tbh
To be fair the grind for 650 wouldn't have been bad at all if we had the traditional level 4 potential cost of N-EX cubes. But they sure did throw a curveball at us with the 600 Scale cost for Level 4
@@Thriftshoppin yeah I got 291 from playing every day but once I start working ain't no way I'll be able 2 enjoy the new weapons sadly but I'll try.
