I really appreciate that Zack seems like a straight up guy, not trying to be funny the whole time. Refreshing to see guys who don't have to put on a persona for the camera.
Wow Zack is a pro!! He's taken stuff off the bike while explaining like he designed the whole damn thing. Very confident, no hesitation, I think he can do this in his sleep. Excellent job Zack!
Zach is THE most famous S1KRR mechanic on TH-cam (if not the 🌎), bro just his composure and professionalism during the installs are on point. *Stupid question, did this void BMW warranty?* Ib bike is looking good man.
Awesome tear down Zack Don't forget to show us a side by side comparison of the bren cam versus stock... Would be interesting to see what differences in duration, lift, and overlap were made and how its going to change the power curve... Great work Ib and company.
Its a BMW thing... They usually have a DISA valve in all their intake plenums on their cars to get the best bottom and top end. Nice to see them apply the same tech on their bikes.
Very cool video...I always enjoy watching Zack work on your bikes, I can't wait to see the power those cams make and watch Zack take out the old cams and install the new ones...Thanks ib for taking us along with you on this bike build!
650ib, Zach is awesome, a goldmine for your channel!! He TOTALLY helps set your channel apart and make it a success. Do you share the success of your channel with him and compensate him for all of the content he adds for your success? I could watch this all day!
650ib I'm honored for the response and love the channel!!! All the different bikes, riding areas, and most of all- the races! You are never scared and no matter how fast you are riding you are skilled enough to handle any situation.
the foam piece in the frame in front of the air box isn't on a 15/16. it would be interesting to know if it makes any improvements since the part most likely fits on the 15/16's and would be an easy order through the dealer. ill be tuning my bike in the spring and would add that part before the tune if we get answers on this mystery
😮😮😮 you cease to amaze me. I've done everything to my zx10r, in hopes of one day calling you out for a smakdown. Haven't sparked any interest into race cams until today. You keep the bar raised high, Love it!
I was able to remove the cylinder heads on my gen4 zx10 without removing the engine entirely. Not sure if u can do that on a beemer but it would make alot of sense to be able to do so. Maybe thats why u guys were talking about a bike not being the same after removing and then reinstalling the engine
650ib why do u say that? The only thing that gave me trouble when installing my race cams was getting the cam-chain around the crankshaft pto gear aka crankshaft sprocket (whatever people call it) are u sayin its easier this way for a beemer? Or just for removing the valvetrain?
Very nice video as usual very interesting to see the way the engines and components are placed in the frame, that Zak is a top bloke no’s his stuff, can’t wait for the follow up videos be interesting to see what gains are achieved keep up the fantastic vids and keep safe
3:24 hits the windscreen with the ECU while he's saying as long as everything is done correctly you can't even tell. Well I can already tell you scratched my shit
Fun to watch. I just looked at my 16 and I don't have that foam frame insert in front of the air filter. I wonder if BMW is looking for less volume and higher pressure in front of the filter.
Need some smackdowns ib I'm having smackdown withdraws lmao. Great vid by the way loads of info Zack def knows his stuff u are the man Zack keep up the great work
Might as well upgrade the thottle bodies to bigger and smooth them out for more airflow right? Just thinking of my cars first thing I did was cold air kit and throttle body upgrade before cam. :)
650ib you should try another hardware to tune your bike. Power comander is good, but are better hardwares to tune bikes and they are more complete. Reserch rapid bike racing you are going to like it .
Thanks for the cool video ib. I've never seen an in depth process in the removal of a motorcycle engine before. Shout out to Zack for his work on this build! Also how much do you think the bike weighed with everything removed?
My awesome riding gloves!

+TheVilouboy The 3yr warranty is still in effect.
Awesome tear down Zack Don't forget to show us a side by side comparison of the bren cam versus stock... Would be interesting to see what differences in duration, lift, and overlap were made and how its going to change the power curve...
Great work Ib and company.
+P Body Cam install and comparison video coming next week.
Excellente!
I liked seeing the motor controlled velocity stacks that are in the air box .. I never seen that before
Its a BMW thing... They usually have a DISA valve in all their intake plenums on their cars to get the best bottom and top end. Nice to see them apply the same tech on their bikes.
P Body That's very interesting .. I'm going to look it up. . Thanks for the info
+Fernando Lopez been doing it for thirty years, I think some aprilias have it and a pal converted his mv track bike to them about 15 years ago
Wasn’t this first done on the earlier Aprilia RSV4 factory?
C Marz , Zack talks about it at 4:44
Great camera work! I loved being able to see, in depth, how the motor is removed. Awesome vid as always!

+D2dan Hahaha. Thanks Dan!
BMW needs to hire that mechanic.
Really excited for the 2019 S1000RR, seen the spy shots and it looks soooo good!
+2Wheel Pursuit Me too!
They all look the same
I was able to remove the cylinder heads on my gen4 zx10 without removing the engine entirely. Not sure if u can do that on a beemer but it would make alot of sense to be able to do so. Maybe thats why u guys were talking about a bike not being the same after removing and then reinstalling the engine
+RONIN 471 It's much easier to do this with the engine out.

8:32 No carbon in the intake valves. Clean running engine.
I think it's mostly because it's new

You know what Mr.Ib, you favor Steve Harvey😂😂😂
+Kendrick H lol... My bank account doesn't.
Damn I'm poor. I cant even afford a free bike
Well, gsxr1000 and zx10r are one of the cheapest superbikes you can buy and in the same time competitive against rivals.
11:20 THOSE WHITE REAR SETS THO!!! 💪👍👍

+Heero357 Thanks!
+cobratoxic We will use that for the next bike build.
650ib I can wait to see that, most of the people dont know the hardware rapid bike racing.
What happend to your Yamaha, will you make a video about that?
That looks crazy ib
+D Turbides I agree!

Zack the surgeon
+Samo Lagano Indeed!!!!
such a scary looking process .. when an engine is out of a bike i instantly think .. oh no a wrecked bike lol
+BrappWithMe motovlogs Hahaha!
The foam is most likely to restrict air flow to help pass EPA regulations.
+Proto2o Thanks!
It’s to restrict noise for the most part. Only USA models have this.
Less airflow, less noise :)
Hey IB ask him how much does the labor cost to get the cam shafts installed pls
+MoneyMitch Zack answers that in our next video 😎👍
Good luck 👏🏼👍
The thumbnail 😂😂
more power for you to run in a straight line....yay
+Ducati Fanboy I'm a Ducati fanboy too! Let's stick together! ♥️👍💪🇺🇸
Fascinating!
Thanks for the cool video ib. I've never seen an in depth process in the removal of a motorcycle engine before. Shout out to Zack for his work on this build! Also how much do you think the bike weighed with everything removed?
+Ian W The bike probably weighed 390lbs.
So what's being done to the lawn mower on the lift? Brock exhaust? bst carbon fiber wheels? Internal upgrades? Lol
+mtrx16 Hahaha. All of the above.
