Mauricio Araya That’s very good question I was meaning to make a video on that. originally it was advertised to not have brakes but it does that’s it activates your breaks on one position when you turned it on it will beep once then twice and when you switch it to the other side it will do the same but in a different tone! one tone will sound quite pleasant and the other one will sound doll and boring I think you’ll know what I mean when you hear it. The doll and boring tone is your brakes. You actually reminded me I need to make a video on that because there are videos on these ESC‘s and guys claims that the one ESC with some certain chip in the center is the break. If you see one without the chip it has no brakes but that is not true that switch activate your brakes or deactivates it. thanks for reminding me😅
Actually...the smaller esc is also 3s capable....I used it on a crawler(temporary replacement) with a cooling fan...and it worked fine on 20c 3s...the main problem is. The bec output...it doesnt give enough power to the servos...had to hook up an external battery to the vcc channel to power the servo and reciever...and cut off the live wire coming from the esc to prevent overvoltage
I have the second ESC that you review and its not bad i have it plugged into my scx24 stock v2 ESC and it acts as my ESC and the stock is just a receiver for my remote. I am now having problems with one rig Binding to my remote, I can get the wheels to turn up front but it wont drive forward or backwards.
Can you program this ESC? I saw on the AliExpress listing that the seller mentioned "ESC is set in the middle of the range, the new control generally need to fine tune the throttle."
Awesome vid! Was looking at this esc and thought it was too big... now I’m getting it! Also I found a new bright Jeep at the thrift shop...doing the build soon based on your truck!

Hi Thanks for the prompt reply. Things have changed since I was into R/C in the 1980's. Now that I've retired and have started building a scale tug and the electronics are a whole new thing to learn. Any objection to me contacting you occasionally for advice?
what about the 2 red pins... i am running 2s lipo i want forward brakes and reverse...np mention of the pins and thats what everyone needs to know...thanks
You have any idea if the smaller esc has a low voltage cutoff for LiPo? I bought the small 30A one, but I'm not sure if there's a low voltage cutoff or if I need to buy a LiPo alarm.
Hi Gabriel, do you have a video where you install the 320A in a C24? I want to get that one but I’m worried it might be too big. I want to build a scale look C24 so I prefer to not have a big ESC on the pickup bed 😀 any suggestions you can share will be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi how is this connected the smaller one especially. As I have a foam plane that I blew the reciever pcb and was thinking of getting a new controller what do I need. Cheers
near same size and price as the 10A, are 20A with brake and reverse. I've used a couple in small brushed motor planes, with a big fat diode in line so reverse can't ever happen!
Hey bro, great video! I want to upgrade my esc on my MN D90 what woul you recommend you have two ESC on your videos. 860 and 1060. What’s the difference between the two? Also I recently purchased the two speed gearbox for my D90 what type of motor would you recommend for an upgrade? I don’t care so much as speed. I care about torque Thank you
Rc Erico Artist I would recommend you use the hobby wing 1060 with a 370 single speed Gearbox if torque is what you’re after. The 860 might be hard to fit it in because it is kind of big.
Gabriel Silvaz great. Thinking of using this set up on my WPL B24 project. So glad I scrolled. It’s crazy the information I find within the hobby community
Hey. I have both of those esc, or at least the bigger 320A. The smaller 10A I'm not certain is the same, since there are quite a few semi equal. But my question to you is, do you know if they (the smaller) should be calibrated, or if it is even possible. And if so, how this is done? Thanks for a very good video btw.👍👍
@@gabrielsilvaz4199 Lol.. well I'm certainly no MIT guy..😋 Okay Well, some esc apparently needs calibration. I thought after your video that maybe you knew how/if that's done on these guys.😊 I put in the little 10A in the MZ ural, but I feel it is very hard to go slow with. It's like it starts at 1/4 throttle...😳 Thanks for a great video.👍👍
Ernste Lidén Sounds like you need to turn up your dual rate on your transmitter and you’re not gonna go slow with that truck, it’s like second gear in the WPL 2 speed transmission. Do you remember the video of my extreme Land Rover the red one? that one is using that Exact 10 amp ESC in the video also the turbo racing transmitter. There’s a couple videos were people are confused with the dual rate thinking that turning it down helps you crawl slower but it cuts out the power so if you turn up the rate all the way you’ll be able to crawl slower than turning it down. So if there’s any programming you need to do it’s in your transmitter. There are other things other than dual rate on more expensive controllers but not sure which transmitter you’re using?
@@gabrielsilvaz4199 Thanks for your answer, and I'll try that. I haven't got the turbo racing controller yet, so I've set it up with my flysky gt3c. It's not as smooth as it was with the stock radio system which is kind of disappointing.. But as the stock hear are cooked what to do..😜 Thanks again my friend that are helpful tips.👍👍
I had a very bad expirience with the "Double way 320A", the ESC died but still flashes the red led and power the receiver. At the same time, motor does not move and the battery looks almost short, the ESC is pushing extremly high currents. High current is pushed from the battery independent of what you do in the controller (you can even disconnect the receiver, high current will flow from the battery and the battery, cables and ESC get very hot). The ESC worked for 3 runs, about 40min total and was good when it worked but honestly, with this behavior I won't considering only bad, it's actualy very dandgerous
Oh, I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I’ve literally had dozens of these and never had one issue. I also use triple capacitors configurations on my motors which remedy is a lot of issues that most ESC May have. I’m not sure exactly how you are wiring up your systems, but if you dive deeper into my channel, you can find some of the methods that I’ve used with great success. I’ve never had my ESC overheat or any of my batteries.
Hansaka Nakulugamage Sorry for taking so long to reply didn’t realize how many messages I’ve missed. Fog RC oh I see😅 will the ESC only puts out half it’s current capacity in reverse this particular ESC does not have rock crawling Mode if you want rock crawling Mode go with the hobbywing ESC like the ones I talked about at the end of the video they have rock crawling mode which means you can switch from brakes to crawling mode. crawling mode gives full current output in both forward and Reverse but no brakes. So I hope that answers your question the ESC I use in my jeep and Toyota works great in forward but you are right reverse seems realistically slow or powerless compare to forward but it comes with brake option try it without the brake option and see if that helps you in reverse I have not tried this yet if it’s like my hobbywing 1060A speed controller it might give crawling mode and maybe you will get full power in reverse if you complete this before I do let me know how it goes! Fog RC I believe the smaller ESC only puts out half power in reverse if you have the brake option. The brake option is mainly used for race car RC‘s because if your race car RC was on crawling mode it would go the same speed in reverse which would not be very good for stopping in forward without breaks could damage differentials with an abrupt stop.
