    To fix the transforms going past the constraint limits, tick 'For transform' in the constraints

    I'm getting the rest of the 2D animation guys in our office to use 3D. I'm a Maya user, but we decided on Blender, which I'm really familiar with when it comes to modelling and rendering, but the rest I have little experience with. These tutorials are really helping to get my mind in the Blender space. Thanks, Danny :D

    I learned rigging in Maya 6 years ago and never touched it again while I did architecture in the interim. Now coming back to animation but in blender and this was the cleanest tutorial I've ever followed. Amazing

    Good job with a nice simple example. One small note: at about 1:00, you say you are in object mode when deleting 'only faces', but you seem to be in Edit mode (as I would expect). This might confuse the inexperienced.

    If anyone is having problems when applying the constraints, (like flying off) I believe you have to create the planes and circles at the world origin. (just follow exactly the tutorial)

    thanks for the video. Is there a way to connect a blendshape animation to a retargetted character with it's own blendshapes? for example, if I import an fbx model with it's own facial animation (blendshape animations), can I connect it's blendshapes to a different character's blendshapes, so that the fbx imported facial animation is retargetted to a different characters face? (provided there are same corrresponding blendshapes: mouth open, eye open, brow up, etc)
    thanks for any tip.
    KC

      Technically it's possible if the characters shared topology, but practically it will not look correct because they are different characters

    • @chocochipcookiealert
      @chocochipcookiealert 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      actually a lot of what your doing I wish I understood the reason behind. :/ It helps me understand and learn better by understanding why I am doing certain things, I am not farmiliar with the shape keys or anything.

      @@henkkok9437 Couple questions if you can help, i don' see the driver option for graph editor at all. Also he created curve in edit mode, but it only creates armatures for me. NO WHERE can i find other ppl having this issue lol. I am using of course shift A. Any suggestions?

    • @henkkok9437
      @henkkok9437 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pinkiepieluv67 I think somewhere you’re mixing things up? Armatures arent even needed for this. Its a few curves and shape keys, combined with drivers. I suspect you’re headed in rigging areas where you dont need to be. Hope that helps a bit. Can you pinpoint when you deviate from the video by any chance?

    Hi!
    Great content man!
    I am working on a small project that involves importing a stl file of misaligned teeth into blender, segmenting them and realigning them. For accuracy, I need to import an image of a curve into the blender background over a set of misaligned teeth then aligning them accurately along the curve. So far I have managed to segment the teeth, realign and animate them, but having a challenge using shape keys to get the gums to move accordingly with the teeth.The surrounding tissue, the gums, should be deformed to adapt to the new form of the jaw and tooth position.
    Can I reach you on email?
    Cheers!

    how can I know more about this?

  • @tstone9151
    @tstone9151 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The "Limit Location" tool isn't working for me. First off, it teleports my object when I add a limit, it doesn't take my values into consideration at all. Blender has the shittiest rigging tools, and Audodesk is pissing me off with their fbx file, would've been easier if I could just import my shit into Blender
