small correction: the spawn loop setup i used isnt actually every single tick, oops, but as u can see it still works fine. if you know about collision loops theyre probably a more effective and consistent way to do this but if you dont know about those this'll be fine in almost all cases

a bit more with this method you can even make a exponentially accelerating/decelerating the player, simply by using spawn loop on follow player X, since the player accelerates, the teleport trigger will also accelerates the player into the point it speeds up to like infinity ig idk (it crashes my pc so i put a stop trigger at the end of the level, and it also broke my editor permanently, might reinstall the game tho) it was once featured in DDoGD once but i forgor which video showcases it so yea then you can also apply the method on P2 by using teleport portals locked into P2's position (not the trigger), although if your P1 collides with P2 it will kinda broke the speed of P1, so it's best to use the P2 one for a same speed dual gp or a dual gp where the P1 won't touch P2

following player Y would do literally nothing cause the player is being teleported along the X axis. if you wanted to you could manually do the whole thing with just move triggers but it'd be a lot less convenient in like 99% of cases

i was gonna make a challenge with this gimmick it'll use teeth by brakence, which is like the most fitting song ever for that (especially the tempo changing)
cool idea : put teleport portals in front/behind both, move them at a consistent speed, so if they get moved off the screen, they reappear on the other side, allowing for some weird gimmicks

would it be possible to set up the mechanism to follow p2 and not p1 so you don’t have to do the static camera shenanigans and also you don’t have to worry about disabling the triggers after the dual? peak tutorial and peak level btw
u could technically do it by putting like actual tp portals on p2 but then if p1 even touched p2 itd then also hit the portal and its speed would change so not really teleport triggers don't have a P2 setting for some reason

as long as you exit the dual with the icon that isn't speeding up and slowing down the sync should be unaffected
a more controllable way to do this would probably be to repeatedly teleport the player to a moving object moved by a move or follow trigger instead
