This is a great rendition, crystal clear and the disco is gorgeous. Takes me back! In all the best ways.
Thanks Suzanne, don't want get to bogged down with the tech stuff but I always remember when I had recorded this vinyl the upper register (high frequencies) was the strongest I'd seen from a vinyl, that comes across in the way this vinyl sounds, as you say crystal clear, I spent around 6 months creating the discotheque animation, it's based on a few places one being studio 54, really glad it took you back to that late 70s feeling, that was always the goal.

Sheer Heaven. Brings me back to Studio 54, and Ice Palace 57 (much better) in NYC. Also, The Embassy Club in London. 1978/1979.
So glad someone has seen this that was there in the late 70s, took me months to create this animation after studying many pictures from famous clubs of the time. I even looked at Saturday night fever disco dance scene in slow motion so I could get the flashing floor light in the same order of colours and the fact that it took you back... result!!!... thanks again...

This song immediately transforms me to Studio 54 and I am dancing with the Mature Lady that was made famous by the movie!!!! Well done 10.10.10!!!!

I saw Sylvester live in ‘83 at a club in Coventry (Tiffany’s) .. I didn’t really get his style back then sadly, but always throw one of his tunes into a mix nowadays..😆🎧
dont come much more iconic than this as Disco classic go, although he had a few hits it was this one that I liked the most.... working on another one of my favs, will try and get it posted tonight.... more jazz funk than Disco... but a classic, only recorded it today and probably not play this album since 83.... all shell be revealed.... soon
I remember this from a video game from like 2007 or something. It had lights like this! It was such a bad ass handheld!!!
The animation is my own creation using Blender 3D software, and many hours of work to create a virtual discotheque based on some of the famous clubs from the late 70s including Studio54.
I was in the foyer of Studio 54 this time last year 😁.. it’s my profile picture if you look 😆😆

Used to have a routine with this track... when he hits the first you make me feel mighty real i used to hit TWO confetti cannon of the stage... cracking atmosphere..

Thanks Jon, the process of recording from my turntable to my PC is one I pay particular attention to, so the only loss of quality is down to TH-cam's recoding system (files are around 1.5GB), I upload a H.265 file that contains the Wav 96k 24bit audio, thankfully on the HD playback option the loss in quality is not too much and results in what you hear, this has to be one of those rare vinyls where the audio peaks quite strongly all the way up at 48K and the stereo separation is spot on, and I've found that a lot with these older vinyls better stereo and much more pleasing on the ear than CD, even when listening on youtube.... oh and BTW the downloadable youtube file is not the same as the streamed file, much lower quality, I'm so glad I've been able to do these old gems at the quality I can, with most of that sound quality still retained.... and after all that!! what a great classic icon track that will never fade into obscurity, love it!...
@@The70s80scollection Completely agree, again i cant sing the praises of you AT cartridge enough Love the warmth and natural sound reproduction from a nice pressed piece of vinyl played back on quality audiophile equipment . Love Sylvester, one of my fave disco singles along with the likes of "From Here To Eternity" by Giorgio Moroder, "I Feel Love" by Donna Summer & "Beat The Clock" by Sparks.
