I actually like the Sonic Advance 2 more than any other advance game
I like Advance 3 the most. Advance 2 was my least favorite of the trilogy. Too linear and basic. Also collecting the chaos emeralds with all five characters instead of collecting them once was a chore.
Sonic's Summer salt actually stops momentum to emphasize Sonic's speed. Cool isn't it?
This was my verry first sonic game
6:01 the whole sonic 3 and knuckles takes place on angel island. (Apart from Death Egg, Doomsday and flying battery)

I laughed hard at 3:54 when the audio just explodes. Also, I played the heck out of this game back during its original release, but I remember next to nothing about it now (except for really hating the special stages.)
That is after mastering her. The first time, you weren't entirely sure what to do. She just made you feel cooler once you knew how to use her in the game.

neo green hill was acually what the beta of aquatic ruin zone from sonic 2 was named

Neo green hill zone does sound strange which is probably why it was translated to Neon hill zone in the UK versions
Also, she can get a higher boost on springs than any other character by hammering them.
matt the jump attack from sonic 3 is the insta-shield
Angel island in sonic advance is more like sky sanctuary. Remember, every level in sonic 3&k exept death egg and doomsday is part of angel island.
they included the first level songs of all 3 games as unlockable songs in generations but otherwise yea sega forgot the sonic advance series

i like amy too. you know you use her hammer on near springs and you can actually jump higher.
So did you not realize that.. if you hold down and jump, as if you are trying to spin dash, she does a quick leap forward and if you immediately start to run forward you will be running at full speed?
So your argument that it's hard to gain speed with Amy is actually you not knowing about her mechanics it seems. I think this game did a very good job making all the character feel unique, I quite enjoyed it and Amy was probably the most fun because of the little skill tricks she has.
Actually, and this is just me nit-picking, I am not a fan of Sonic Advance 1 Tails. Why? His top-speed running animation. He does not spin his tails; he waves them in the wind as he -levitates-. Advance 2 and 3 fixed that, but Advance 1 always bugged me because Tails was flying like Super Sonic when his Super (Hyper) form was not only not active, but had not been seen in any game since Sonic 3 and Knuckles due to the lack of Super Emeralds.
Does anyone else want to see Tails go Super once more?

Would you say there is a screen crunch in the Advance games? Like the screen is zoomed in on the character like handheld games tend to do. Could never really tell

i did have the gba cable for gamecube which lead to some epic pokemon emerald vs pokemon Colosseum battles

Last time I checked SA2 got the highest scores since Sonic 3 when it first came out

Ah, the classic situation of getting stuck between two opposite springs...
Fun Fact, this was actually the first sonic game I actually owned, so i have alot of nostaglia for it but these days I tend to notice its flaws. While it was a good way to satisfy the fans who didn't like the Adventure games, it's no were near as good the first few genisesis games. The level design has alot of stupid choices, the levels are uninspired and Amy has some awful mechanics. Thats not to say the game is bad however, if you have a GBA, check it out.

For some reason I don't like tail's model in this game
I loved this game, but the special stages in this one were probably my least favorite of any Sonic game (and that's saying a lot). Overall though, it's a pretty solid entry into the franchise, and Amy's actually kind of fun to play as once you get the hang of all her special moves. It requires strategy and a bit of patience, but she brings her own thing to the party.
@TheDrunkenwhale And to me, Amy is basically Mario in a Sonic game, only slower than Mario.
Oh, I can deny that Sonic has ''lost all steam'' after SA2.. I enjoyed every other Sonic game after that with the exception of Secret Rings of course.

I actually prefer Sonic Advance 2 because of its sense of speed mixed with platforming. Of course, this is my own opinion.

I remember this game. I loved it when I was younger. But it seems that Minecraft and Monster Hunter have eaten up my gamer life.

Never understood why people say Tails out classes Knuckles in the 2D games. Knuckles abilities are clearly better than Tails. Yes he can fly but it even Knux beats him at that because of his climbing ability.

Why do Sega have so much trouble with Amy? You're running around smashing robots with a hammer. You'd think it would be easy to make that fun.

@TheDrunkenwhale Amy is actually easier to use then Sonic once you know what all her moves are and plus she can rip through boss like no one else can and can reach places Tails and Knuckles can't due to her hammer which can make her go farther then normal on springs

'Amy is basically this game's hard mode.' Lies. all of 'em. If anything, Amy is this game's Easy Mode. Despite being unable to Spin at all, i still find Amy the easiest character to play as, due to her high jumps and Aerial Hammer Spin (Down+B). She easily trumps boss 4 (Easier than Tails!) along with most others.

Sonic Advance 2 is horrible XD sorry but you're wrong.
I haven't played Sonic since Sonic 2 for the Genesis. I've been wanting to get back into the series here 20 years later but today I fucked up.
I love the GBA. It may be my favorite system ever. I love the original GBA games, the ports, and my favorite, the remakes the system has to offer.
I always heard good things about the Sonic Advance games so ive been looking for them. I bought a game today thinking it was Sonic Advance but upon further inspection I learned it was Sonic Genesis for the GBA. IT FUKKIN SUCKS AND MY LIFE IS OVER!!!!
Someone send me a copy of any Sonic Advance game so I can be a Sonic fan. Anyone who doesn't send me a Sonic advance game hates Sonic and the series and acknowledges that Mario is far better.

Don't know what ta tell ya buddy, I don't know very many people who would just buy a random stranger a copy of a game and send it to them without even knowing their address. Have you checked 99Gamers? They're an awesome buy/sell/trade game site that offers any game under the sun for great prices (depending on if someone is selling that particular game at that particular time). If anything (though I don't advise this at all), to hold you over until you get an actual physical copy, you could just download the VisualBoyAdvance emulator and play Sonic Advance on your computer (but again I don't advise it because piracy is illegal). And as a third option you could wait until the eventual Wii U Virtual Console release of the Sonic Advance Trilogy because let's face it, it's bound to happen at some point (and if you don't have a Wii U...well I'm sry xD)
Also that whole "Anyone who doesn't send me a Sonic advance game hates Sonic and the series and acknowledges that Mario is far better." comment will NOT get pressure anyone to do that, if anything it just makes you seem like an immature twat, no offense.
