- The best comparison between the two games Counter Strike 2 or CS2 (2023) and Counter Strike Global Offensive or CSGO (2020), I will compare the most important similarities, physics, details, textures and special places in the game. The entire video was created by myself (GameLight).
Many players have been waiting for a long time for CS GO to switch to the new Source 2 engine, and it finally happened, this summer CS2 will officially be released at the moment in limited testing (Valve)

The cubemap reflections became even more physically accurate, not every game has beautiful cubemaps, usually its just disgusting, but not in CS2. Also Screen Space Reflections (SSR) technology added

You got that, buddy. Half Life 2 has characters constantly looking around and blinking. Just like in Left 4 Dead where the expression work is even better.
Strangely every Valve game is like that except Counter Strike. I don't think character expression would even put more constraints on CSGO, considering L4D2 and TF2 have those and they still run normally.
GabeFollower managed to datamine some files related to eye movements in the beginning of the beta. We havent heard anything about it since, but its likely that Valve will implement it in the official launch

People really saw CSGO getting its biggest update and thought its comparable to FIFA / NBA’s annual re-release
Take csgo and slap mods and you have the same game. The ideea is that all csgo2 could have easily be a megapatch. Are there new weapons? Are there significant changes to maps or base gameplay?

Мне в игре не понравилось:
1. Убрали пулемет и вообще ничего нового из оружия не добавили. И это в 2023 году! Днище в этом плане.
2. Скины на оружие худшие которые видел, но есть надежда появятся отдельно пакеты скинов.
3. Не появилось в игре новых механик, не ввели даже наклоны из-за угла. Для игры 2023 года - это просто провал!
4. Меню настроек и клавиш. Ну в 2023 году сделать такую дичь, это надо было быть особо криворуким программистом.
Понравилось в игре 3 вещи:
1. Графика уровней и их переработка. Зачетно! Да, не самое крутое что могло быть, но неплохо.
2. Интересное изменение механики стрельбы и гранат. Лучше чем было.
3. Интерфейс покупки оружия.
В целом обновление хорошее, но с учетом срока его ожидания можно сказать разработчики стояли на месте и ничего не делали, а потом за два месяца склепали что-то.

Source engine 2 is more like unreal engine the graphic got overhaul and some reflection lightning system its part from unreal engine
You right. Have you seen the new Inferno map? Looks like a map created on the Unreal Engine
Contrary to what you say, Epic Games copied everything from the Source for Unreal 4 and 5. Unreal 3 had a strange filter that made all materials look like they were laminated or wet. Instead, Source Engine gave the right look to every surface and material. Source 2 is simply the natural evolution of the original Source
I think i need better pc for cs 2
its hopefully fully optimised when released so you should be able to play on a lower end PC. Maybe with settings all low.

In the post, I wrote a disclaimer that this is an esports game, for its genre the details are really insane, many people hear "Insane Details" and start to think the details will be the same as in Red Dead Redemption 2. The details of Counter Strike can only be compared with a game like Valorant where there are almost no details!
