That Balmonds efficiency and ferocity was honestly terrifying. Making use of every opening Beto and the others made. Balmonds one of my mains, so this really brought a tears of joy to my eyes.

1. Understand the hero
2. Know their limits
I can see that gord actually a easy mage to play I like playing Xavier nowadays he is easy to play and he does insane dmg in late just gotta position yourself properly
Edit: did you guys know Xavier is getting a buff? They are gonna buff his mobility but to balance him they minus 20 of his overall passive DMG which is not much

@@paracame8162 Guin isn't hard to play at all, its just that you need to know the mechanics and interactions of guinevere with a shit ton of heroes especially if enemy team has purify spells or lots of dash picks then you'll need to anticipate dash and stuff.

I'd still say gord is only ideal if you've got 4th or 5th pick since he's really easy to counter and lots of heroes in the current meta counter him.

@@Acovado_bs Minsi is pretty good, cuz most meta heroes has dash skills which makes them unable to use their dash skills in his ult.
Chou is one of those heroes that all of his skills are dash skills, so basically can only hope to walk out of there

Non meta heroes have draw backs but a good player can minimize those drawbacks
But with the current Hanabi there's nothing rewarding
So weak early game to the point some mages deal higher damage with basic attack than her
And even if you somehow manage to get to the late game you still can't stand against the enemy late gamers with your mediocre damage and 0 mobility
I always end up solo carrying with Hanabi

I really love how Gord can never miss any cs due to his second skill. I think he's a good counter to mages with bad clearing abilities such as burst mages. This way he can rotate early and even leash the jungler.

I'm former season top philippines gord and I really love this hero because of his second skill. It helps a lot specially on our jungler. It can make jungler farm faster and rotate or gank faster. Just clear your mid lane and follow your jungler where ever it goes. Specially on turtle and lord just leave your second skill and hide on bushes 🤣

Me too, I maximize every heroes' full potential, specially my main hero Lapu-lapu and his skills' defensive effect (passive's shield and enhanced 2nd skill's damage reduction).
I've actually met a godly Gord just this night Chad literally defended our base with four enemies alive and a lot coming he bought enough time for use to respawn by killing all of there main damage heroes it was a 30 minute game as well which mean the lord was super strong what a Chad gord as well despite being flamed by our bad marksman who keep feeding
There are three types of Gord:
1. Those who can't position.
2. Those who can't aim.
3. Those who have mastered the art of living up to his name. Fr tho, it's so satisfying seeing Gords spamming the f out of their true dmg passives and just disintegrating every enemy minion from existence.
Disguised toast among us vids helped me stay sane last year. Now, it's beto and his humor. Thank you so much🥺

1:28 I think you took the small blue buff by accident, it could have been a crucial mistake if the jungler didn't get those 2 early kills or maybe you did it intentionally to make things interesting haha
It's just a little bit of exp, heal and gold. I don't think it's a *crucial* mistake
This is the reason why i'm always hesitate to help blue when using Gord. Usually it bother the jungler pace since there are passive from retri too. I'm usually only help when they take the red buff

I would actually like playing gord more if only his 2nd skill can reveal enemies in the bushes. Cause as a solo player when you pick mages like him more so often the roamer support / tank doesn't really like to work with you for some reason

So goddamn efficient Beto took the smaller creep as 'insurance'
Not gonna lie, even before his buff, I rank up with Gord and got MVP in most matches, even taking down anyone stands in his midlane is enough to destroy mid turrets without worry and rotate to the teamfights near mid asap. Midlane is supposed to be my best lane for better teamfight rotation in ML until Moonton made the recommended positions for certain roles.
As a gord main myself, thanks betosky for the great pointers.

Imma Gord user and I can relate when Betosky said "understand the hero" and " know their limits". not to sound arrogant but I know where to land Gord's skills especially the 2nd skill / stun by just looking at the map (no need Skill panning activated on settings)

The problem lies for solo player when you are the only capable of using the hero at full potential, as soon you started a war, all of your friend disappeared.
5:12 my biggest issue in soloq epic-low legend as a support main. my team wants me to go with estes or angela or some other squishy support but then pick an exp laner who cant sustain too well so our whole team ends up being squishy😭 then again i guess thats just how it is when they keep forcing mms or mages to be the exp laner too😅

it was really good combo
Although i would say to get higher chance of winning you need to remember
1. Pick 1mm, 1 mage , 1 fighter ,1 jungler , 1 support or tank in team composition
i see sometimes ppl pick support and tank both
2. And you team must have 3:2 ratio of physical to magic dps or vice versa
3. Have some cc heroes
I was at around 52% winrate with 3000 solo or so matches. Quite low and then I found Betosky and Gosu General. Now with 6000 I have 59% overall winrate with all types of game modes and each new season I get more than 65% win rate while playing any mode solo.
So, if you want to improve your gameplay take his advice. He is not only making entertaining streams but is also teaching us how to play better any kind of Moba and even helping us building some key skills in real life like how to estimate the opponents and how to use the present condition to get a favourable future.

I don't have 3k matches with gord or nothing but that's my favorite hero to play. Just anticipating your enemy movement is real fun esp his combos. If I have a decent tank it's usually gg. I have 73% wr with him but I play all heroes. I have around 400 matches with him and atleast 10 other heroes. I just want to be an all rounder but if I'm on a loosing streak, gord is usually my go to hero even tho he has never been in the meta and I have played this game since it first came out. I was the feeding yin zhao or balmond back in 2018 hahah oh the blast from the past. When alpha was so broken and everyone wants to play fighter like him yin zhao or balmond.
