Would have loved to have seen if Walmart or Target could have met your needs. I’m usually impressed at what they have for elevated basics. Walmart seems so much better clothing wise now than when I was younger. Target too. Also, never underestimate the thrift. They usually have specific plus size sections, & it’s always possible to find a gem or several. Totally relatable dilemma though, as always! I wear a 4X on top, small boobs, big belly, & it is SO HARD to find tops. Most either fit like a tent, or are too exposing/cropped/ill fitting. My bottom on the other hand can fit anywhere from an XL to 2X depending on stretch, fit, brand. I can always find cool bottoms, barely ever cool tops. SERENITY NOW!
Loved this video, please do more of this!!!!! I was feeling your stress all throughout the whole video. You did manage to get some outfits that were cute, I loved that first dress on you! Thanks for showing the challenge is real! You have such a keen sense of what us plus sized women need and you aren' t afraid to say what is needed. Please keep being you!!!!

My anxiety about shopping as a plus size girl has always been off the charts. What if the airline loses my luggage? Where can I possibly find clothing to fit me? This was an excellent video!! You really addressed all the challenges we face. Thank you!!
@lucindanichols4901 well I've lost weight since I've veen diagnosed diabetic and my 4 x swallow me so my newer clothes I've been buying 3x but I get most of my stuff from woman within and roamans you never have a fit problem there.
My luggage was lost on a trip to Paris and we didn’t get it for THREE DAYS. The airline agent said “we’ll reimburse you if you need to buy clothes.” Which sounds like a dream, right? Except it’s near impossible to find plus size clothes in freaking Paris! So I’m rocking the same blue jean capris in 80% of my photos from that trip. Blue jean capris. In Paris. I was so not cool 😂
My cousin and I booked a trip to the Bahamas and she lost her luggage - same story. Bahamas is same thing- it’s a playground for the rich for the most part- not a single plus sizes item to be found. Largest size we might be able to find was a size 10. My cousin is not as big as me (22) so I was a little surprised we could only find a tshirt or two that would work for her, but I had brought 3 bathing suits and she was able to wear my spare swimsuit and coverup for the whole trip and we still had a great time. ALWAYS bring a spare set of something in your carryon for this reason! My cousin had checked EVERYTHING! Bad idea….

I have been everything from a UK 26/28 to a UK 8/10 and I tell you, there is no consitency in sizing, no matter the sizes, though plus sizes were worse for it. It was so frustrating, because I imagined that once I was tiny, all of the shopping issues would vanish, but they soooo didn't.
Me too, I've been every size from a UK 26 down to a UK 6. I'm now a UK 12 and have been for a while but in my closet I have so many different sizes as there is no consistency with sizing and can ware anything from a UK 14 to a UK 8. I was plus size in the 90's early 2000's when fashionable plus size clothing was hard to find. The only places were Evans, Simply Be, Jeffrey Rogers, h&m and new look that had an OK plus size section. Now days there are so many plus size shops but I'm kinda glad there wasn't many options when I was plus size as it pushed me to loose the weight all 200lbs of it because I love fashion and clothes & wanted to fit in the clothing I loved.

When ‘’only’’ up to a size 20 isn’t an option, perhaps you should rethink things However, I do appreciate how much work and editing went into this video. You’re very professional
I know this is going to be a weird question but.... do they not have any... normal stores in LA? Like Old Navy, Ross, T.J. Maxx, Walmart, Target, stuff like that. These places have plus and have a pretty nice selection. I love Ross and I always find nice things there. I'm just curious because a lot of these stores seem so off the wall. (And pricey). I'm plus but I live on the east coast. I'm just curious if they don't have any normal stores.
In some places, stores like Target, Walmart, etc, don't stock plus sizes. I live someplace where my ONLY option is online shopping and it's super frustrating.
Unfortunately, the larger you are, the harder it is to buy off the rack. Many of the stores don’t go above a 22/24 and I’m guessing your normal size is 26/28? Was there no torrid or lane Bryant around?
I have to say that I loved this video. I have less of a challenge now at an 18 than I did at a 26/28 (to say the least)-but your result was stupendous! I always felt my challenges in my previous size was in businesswear and formal wear. As a teacher I had and have a lot of leeway-but I’m a more formal kind of gal in general…when I go casual it’s business casual…so I almost always felt limited. Really super helpful video and I hope it opens retailer eyes -nice!❤
This remind me of the empty suitcase challenge that Kitchen & Jorn did-- but I think they did it before they left Buzzfeed? I dunno. I think they went to both the Plus Bus and Proud Mary. I think you did an amazing job, considering. Love the influencer event outfit you did. xoxo
I'm confused. You went to LA for business meetings and influencer event but only packed sweat suits? You have so many cute outfits already, why didn't you just bring them from home? Or was the video supposed to be shopping plus in LA? Anywho, the stuff you picked turned out cute!
I have a SIL that has a small clothing business, and it's just genuinely more expensive to keep plus sizes in stock. The unfortunate reality 😕 so no shade to businesses for not stocking them! It's more expensive, and if they're not selling as fast as the other sizes.. then they have that much overstock when they switch out inventory every season.. it's just tough for everyone, unfortunately 😩
love love LOVE that shirt (i need it ok) "literally nothing i do is for men" ♥♥ love the whole outfit, you rock it girl! also trying on clothes as plus size is just a nightmare :') at least there are stores there dedicated to sell big clothes bc over here... it's a miracle i find clothes lol
Love that you gave some shoutouts to the ones who get it right! Plus Bus is a fave of mine when they have their warehouse sales and the vibe is so nice ❤ you’re a trooper and amazing and I’m glad you found some good stuff. I think the video idea of you trying this in different places is a good one. Kitchen and Jorn did a little series called Empty Suitcase that had a similar vibe that you might want to check out, too
I don’t get outside of my town/city much, so I admittedly don’t know how many options there are for plus size shopping typically in a new city. What I WILL say is, I am truly disappointed for the store that only carried up to a size 20. In MY opinion, which I just that- an opinion, stores should be VERY open about the sizes they carry. There are so few wonderful plus size stores, that carry a wide variety of items. This is 2023, let’s open our eyes and not pretend that the majority of people are size 8.
My grandma and I watch your videos together all the time. She always talks about how she wants to meet you. I think that would make her really happy after what has been happening. She lost her husband in October, Her sister in November, and she just lost her mother today. You brighten her world up so much. I really hope you see this for her sake. We love you!
I would love to see you do this in other cities. This style of video was a lot of fun. I am sorry it didn't work the way you had hoped, but I love the outfits you pieced together!
So I’m confused. Does it really matter someone saying your size out loud!? This is a serious question. You seem confident in who you are, and people can clearly see you when they look at you. Why the annoyance at a size number!?
We went shopping up in LA since my son is really into fashion. We went in all the "cool" shops and I felt so out of place. I dress nicely and look put together but I felt so old and ignored. I don't know why the attitude has to be so unfriendly.
Oh wow, proud Mary is awesome. I love that our hair does the same thing when we haven't spent 2 hours doing it. I started carrying a small brush/comb in my bag. Then my friend did the same but she took one of her daughters dolls combs😆. I NEED THAT T !
I like this serious personality so much better! I like the clothes that cover you. You look so great lately! Very pretty. It’s like you have given yourself a new make over. And it’s okay to not be so upbeat all the time. It’s not real life. This comes from another plus size girl who deals with the same issues ❤
Dresses over pants isn't a new trend. I have the pics to prove it. Lord, out of all the eras, the Early Aughts is one I desperately do not want to revisit (and I was born in the 80s). Idk, maybe I'm an outlier, but if my fashion fever dreams are anything to go by, the early 2000s were fraught with _"Go home, fashion. You're drunk."_ 😆
I don't shop at the mall anymore unless I want to just see what it's like when trying it on. I find the deals are better online if that store has a website. I sign up on every site I shop at and you might be able to get that jacket for less because they have sales often
There is a torrid. There is also a few other stores for plus size. But I do like the idea like a world shopping tour. Kinda like buzzfeed one suitcase. Where Kristen would go and buy her clothing in a city.
I absolutely love this cause it's not always easy to find plus size stores..I wish society would accept big beautiful women for who they are and not what size someone is.. interesting content 💕 love everything about you!
How about doing it in the Austin area!?! Austin, Round Rock, Pfluggerville, Elgin, Cedar Park perhaps. And an even greater challenge, would be to do it, on a tight budget. Because the cost of living here, versus the kinda low salaries, just makes shopping around here, way challenging!
Here's my struggle: 1x and only 5 feet tall. Petite clothes think short people are all size zero to size 12. Impossible to find size 1x or 2x petite. Any suggestions would be most helpful.
Whenever I would travel I always made sure I knew where Torrid or Lane Bryant we’re because those are the two places I know I can count on. Traveling for 15 years really showed me I have to be prepared and the struggle (like you shared) are 100% real.
I was actually recently surprised being plus size at Hot Topic. They had several cute dresses, a strawberry printed bikini, and lots of graphic T shirts in my size.
😊I liked a lot of the outfits you were showing I thought they were very beautiful and they look really good on you My issue is being a plus-size woman is I have a big belly that just hangs and they say it's like having two bucks it's very hard to get into dresses because it's sags and also very uncomfortable and pants I was wearing baggy shirts and baggy pants and I feel like that's what I should be wearing because I'm big and I shouldn't be wearing things show off my body at all so I tend to hide myself and beer close the low places I go shopping are very expensive so it's like the bigger you are the more expensive it gets rather it's on the rack or on a shelf on the floor it's very hard to find my size that makes me feel comfortable and I'm not very good at Cecil rising with my outfits and I see that you are and I congratulate you on that cuz it makes you look comfortable and then good 👍🏼 some of the stories you were talking about I've never even heard of but now I'm glad that you mentioned them because maybe I can look up stuff online and see if they have my size and what made look good or what I might likedo you know if they have like a return policy for like ordering online or something it's always feel like I'd be safe to do that LOL😅
I think if you could find a person that sews clothing and get some cotton/polyester instead of stretchy stuff that clings I think would look really pretty-I had clothes that cling on me and I’m a 12
Some citys are more plus size friendly. I was really interested in this video because it was plus size shopping in LA. The frustration you felt and disappointment are so relatable to just about every shopping experience I've had. I would love to see more of this. It was also interesting to see you trying on different styles and looks even if those weren't the one's you ultimately went with. Thanks for this! :)

I would have been SUPER BUMMED about unique vintage ;( but I would love to go to all of those places instead of shopping online. I wish plus bus had more online . Some places have live sales where they will ship.
Please do this in other cities! It is a struggle. My biggest curiosity is why you didn't hit up a Torrid?! It's my main supplier of in-store fashions that always fit perfectly.
Whole heartedly agree about Big Bud Press! I bought online and it did not fit right and they were actually RUDE with their customer service! It was bizarre but I will never buy from them again!
Fab job, Sassy Lady!! My Lady Biggness is loving the BloomChic clothes! So romantic and flattering! Feel confident wearing capris with their midi dresses! 🎉🎉
Love it shop plus size in the store. From the look of it, you would have been better off ordering online and have it shipped overnight. When second-hand clothing is your only option, order online ! I ran into this problem as a size 16, high school student, I had the worst time trying to find any clothing to fit me! The struggle is real! STORES DON'T WANT TO CARRY THE PLUS SIZE OVER 20! It's as if we don't exist! I made all my clothes through the 70s, 80s, and 90s. What I made looked better than anything I could buy in a second-hand shop in the 90s. I ballooned up to a size 32, . .so I had to adjust the patterns had to fit. Then, I discovered plus-size catalogs and finally online shopping. I was able to finally find the size I needed and even some blue jeans 👖 that zipped up!
It's worse in the UK...there's literally nowhere and the places that do say they carry anything over a 14, the sizes are so inconsistent, there's just no point. I remember going to new York and being so surprised by the plus size options, but yeah, UK is a no go 😓 and I live here x
I would love it if this was a series: going to different cities and buying plus size (or even just trying on). You can go to state capitals and big cities and even go to Toronto/ Vancouver. I know this is a lot of work, but given your love for travel, it could be very informative and entertaining. My question is wasn't there a Torrid in LA? or any other classic plus-size stores? I guess that you were trying to be creative and discover boutiques, but once you went to the mall I expected to go to Torrid, they are kind of reliable to find dresses
I ordered a few things from Unique Vintage awhile back not realizing they are a UK company with UK sizing. The designs are also based on having a small waist, not ideal for apple shapes. I had to send it all back.
I can relate to the difficulty in finding stores to shop in. It is a bit of a blow to your self esteem. Thank you for sharing, feels better to know im not alone
Yeah continue doing that because we forgot how to shop in size ourselves with confidence. It was meant for you to go to reassure and to rebuild your confidence to prepare you for the meetings when you went to LA.
"It's the clothes not you that don't fit"... I absolutely love that!!... I always have a hard time going clothes shopping too because they don't have much of plus size stores where I live and I always get so discouraged I want clothes that I can feel pretty and can be comfortable wearing...so thank you for saying that when I go shopping next I'll have to remember that ❤❤
Where did you get that peach flannel you were wearing in your kitchen!!?? I have to have to have it lol😊😊. The first store was my favorite ! You looked great in e ertything! I fell in love with Puerto Rico too! I loved all your swimwear, but were were really out of my price range😢. Please keep traveling and showing us new places. Take care Teresa❤❤❤
OMG yes I think it would be great to see what you can find that is one of my downfall of shopping in person lol it's so hard to find things and then being in a area OMG with no big stores is even worse,
im sorry your not feeling well! i hope you get better! thats why i shop online lol its so hard to buy in store because they don't accomidate plus size people at all there.
If I need something unusual or very dressy & have time for delivery, I love eshakti. They carry up to a size 36, and you can customize the length of sleeves, hems and necks on the item based upon your preference. It takes approximately 2 weeks to get the items, but it's worth it. I was going on a cruise & needed formal dresses & got 2 gorgeous dresses tailored to my size & shape.
Were there any Belks or Torrids around or Catos? I mean I’m not crazy about Belks. Growing up, I always thought they had “old lady” clothes, but I actually think they’ve gotten better. I love torrid. Cato’s is also one of those that hit or miss sometimes. I would think some of those Goodwills or thrift stores around Beverly Hills might have some good stuff. I worked at a thrift store in Birmingham Alabama when I was going to college and people would bring clothes from a rich suburb with tags on them to donate. They had never been worn and all were name brands! I bet that would be the case for some of those thrifts stores in more upscale areas. I’m sorry you ran into some challenges finding clothes. I completely understand! It’s not fun at all!
I don't know if you said dress shopping or stress shopping, but to me it seemed like stress shopping. Proud Mary and The Plus Bus looked like an amazing store, Anna. I loved all the looks, especially the black dress you wore over the sparkly pants (or were they sweats?) I'd love to steal that look from you, it was gorgeous 🥰 I could feel your frustration and disappointment. It's time that clothing stores realize there's a whole group of plus size people to cater to. I hate feeling like I'm an elephant when I go into stores and find out they're calling a size 14 a plus size. I just purchased 3 dresses from Zulily; 2 arrived yesterday and they're amazing, they fit, they're colourful and they suit me. I should be getting the next dress soon. Cheers from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Can you include price ranges cause I feel like “reasonable prices” aren’t reasonable for everyone based on past hauls.

Yesss I second this! Reasonable prices for content creators is too bougie priced for me lol 😂😂😂 I really love her Walmart and similar style hauls ❤❤❤

“You know, like adult business things.” She’s an adult. If you’re going to LA on business, no qualifier is needed.
love love LOVE that shirt (i need it ok) "literally nothing i do is for men" ♥♥ love the whole outfit, you rock it girl! also trying on clothes as plus size is just a nightmare :') at least there are stores there dedicated to sell big clothes bc over here... it's a miracle i find clothes lol
You were in LA you could’ve gone to torrid, Lane Bryant, Avenue, Nordstrom rack, Macy’s many options
I was wondering why she still insisted on finding nothing once she hit a mall, lol.
Wow poor lady. That’s sad. I hope she gets to meet up soon ❤
It's never a good idea to travel without clothes you might need. I'm plus size and buy most of my stuff from woman within. I'm always prepared.
Woman within, her favorite store 😂
I would love to see you do this in other cities. This style of video was a lot of fun. I am sorry it didn't work the way you had hoped, but I love the outfits you pieced together!
This was awesome, helpful, and insightful!! Would love this to be a regular series! ❤
So I’m confused. Does it really matter someone saying your size out loud!? This is a serious question. You seem confident in who you are, and people can clearly see you when they look at you. Why the annoyance at a size number!?
Wow, it seems like it would of been easier to through some of those awesome outfits in your suitcase that you already had at home.
I was thinking the same thing! She has sooo many great clothes!!
OMG you said the pants I designed are what your dreams are made of!!!! You are making me cry. Thank you!!!
I would love this as a series. I would never think to shop in store at any of the places at the mall.
I like this serious personality so much better! I like the clothes that cover you. You look so great lately! Very pretty. It’s like you have given yourself a new make over. And it’s okay to not be so upbeat all the time. It’s not real life. This comes from another plus size girl who deals with the same issues ❤
love the outfits. stressful tho. i think kirsten from buzzfeed did a similar show, empty suitcase for a plus woman in a new city. i loved it xxxx
Loved this! Actually gave me confidence to try other stores.
Why didn’t you go to Torrid or Lane Bryant?
What exactly do you do besides these videos which by the way I 💕
Loved this video and would love to see you do it in other places as well!!!! Loved the dress over the flashy pants....super cute!!!!
Talbots has plus petite.
Lane Bryant has petite bottoms.
Whenever I would travel I always made sure I knew where Torrid or Lane Bryant we’re because those are the two places I know I can count on. Traveling for 15 years really showed me I have to be prepared and the struggle (like you shared) are 100% real.
That b&w dress with the little touch of red is the most perfect thing I’ve seen you wear! Gorge!
I was actually recently surprised being plus size at Hot Topic. They had several cute dresses, a strawberry printed bikini, and lots of graphic T shirts in my size.
I liked the sheer dress over the sparkly pants 👍 super cute ❤️
😊I liked a lot of the outfits you were showing I thought they were very beautiful and they look really good on you
My issue is being a plus-size woman is I have a big belly that just hangs and they say it's like having two bucks it's very hard to get into dresses because it's sags and also very uncomfortable and pants I was wearing baggy shirts and baggy pants and I feel like that's what I should be wearing because I'm big and I shouldn't be wearing things show off my body at all so I tend to hide myself and beer close the low places I go shopping are very expensive so it's like the bigger you are the more expensive it gets rather it's on the rack or on a shelf on the floor it's very hard to find my size that makes me feel comfortable and I'm not very good at Cecil rising with my outfits and I see that you are and I congratulate you on that cuz it makes you look comfortable and then good 👍🏼 some of the stories you were talking about I've never even heard of but now I'm glad that you mentioned them because maybe I can look up stuff online and see if they have my size and what made look good or what I might likedo you know if they have like a return policy for like ordering online or something it's always feel like I'd be safe to do that LOL😅
You are Truly an Amazing Lady! You are Blessed as an Optimistic person!! Thank you for Being you!!
That pink jacket and black dress was everything!
All Stores Please Lower the price of all Military and Local for all Brands of Plus Size Stores Products and Accessories and Production Cost Now That's too much $$ The Whole World Now 🙏🙏🙏
I would have been SUPER BUMMED about unique vintage ;( but I would love to go to all of those places instead of shopping online. I wish plus bus had more online . Some places have live sales where they will ship.
Please do this in other cities! It is a struggle. My biggest curiosity is why you didn't hit up a Torrid?! It's my main supplier of in-store fashions that always fit perfectly.
Thank you for your videos, they inspire me and I really like your bows💐
Dresses over trousers or skirts over trousers was all the fashion back in the late 90's early 2000. Is that trend coming back in style.
Omg That black dress with the pink jacket FIRE on you!!!
I’m a brick and mortar shopper so I would love more of these. ❤
You should of went to torrids or old navy
I know there used to be The Forgotten Woman and Astarte Woman By Design (the latter of which my wife & I visited). Not sure if they’re active still.
At least you showed THE STRUGGLE! I’m over it!!! Why??? Like whyyyyyyyy?
bandana dress! I love stuff like that. Proud Mary, totally feels like a West Philly vibe or Brooklyn-ish.
I love you. Thanks for being so real so next time I feel like crying in a dressing room, I will remember I am not alone. We got this.
There is not even a really cool plus size brand in Germany. Not talking about vintage plus size clothes. It is plus size desert here. 😢
OMG yes I think it would be great to see what you can find that is one of my downfall of shopping in person lol it's so hard to find things and then being in a area OMG with no big stores is even worse,
Try shopping plus sized while in your 50's. Torrid told me 'we don't usually get someone your age'.
Just love and appreciate you taking us along shoping, for the good and not so good. 😊
I think it's a great idea to go to other cities and look for plus size shops.
it's called empty suitcase. it's been done. buzzfeed did it.
im sorry your not feeling well! i hope you get better! thats why i shop online lol its so hard to buy in store because they don't accomidate plus size people at all there.
I didn’t think LA allowed anyone over a size 2 in public.
Just fly is a random us city and try to find something pula size that isn’t at Walmart. they could make an amazing race type of show about this lol.
Thanks for sharing the experience and I would like to see other cities. Plus size shopping in person is tricky because there aren't many options.
I don't know if you said dress shopping or stress shopping, but to me it seemed like stress shopping.
Proud Mary and The Plus Bus looked like an amazing store, Anna.
I loved all the looks, especially the black dress you wore over the sparkly pants (or were they sweats?) I'd love to steal that look from you, it was gorgeous 🥰
I could feel your frustration and disappointment.
The Nordstrom dress is a keeper.(only !!)
