I'm 84, and I have never seen so many beautiful rods in my life. I started with Hot Rods in 1957, when I was a senior in High school, I had a 1940 Ford Delux sedan delivery with a 3/8 by 3/8 Flathead motor, Lincoln sidewinder gear box, 4/11 rear end, 3 inch dropped axle, split wish bones. I could go on about it but you know what I mean. At Lodi drags we started with a flagman. Loved it and I stayed with rods for years then went to motorcycles, became an expert and loved racing them up until 1978, won the Hawaii state championship on a Yamaha TZ250.
