    I have the SFT 40 version of this.
    It's brilliant and one bonus is that it takes the regular and longer 21700 batteries.

      That would make for good output the SFT-40 is an awesome LED, i wonder how the throw differs from the 519A.

    Been using this for awhile. It's nice looking, the feel on it it's good. And I love the output. I swapped the reflector with a TIR 30 DEGREE

    This was quite educational. I always thought you’d need darkness emitting lights down there🤷‍♂️

    Nice review mate!, I bought one in green thinking in turning in to a mule with a copper spacer and some 3D spacer to sit the glass.

      Thanks mate!, its a great light, what about using glue to hold in the glass?. The glass sits in place nicely now maybe even an O-ring on the back might be enough.

      @@everydaysurvivalgear Thanks for the advice I will try, I will make a MCPCB in a 3x3 array of E21As emitters 5700k/4500k, and probably will buy the anduril driver that simon is about to desing for the S21E while I make my own driver.
      Do you think if we suggest simon to produce a raised retaining ring for the E-Switch as accesory, he would accept?

      @@josxd8598 What driver are you going to make? You can get a few driver designs from BLF. Yea Simon might you can give it a try, post it in the Convoy thread.

      @@everydaysurvivalgear I would like to make something different, something new with a highly customizable UI, I won't focus on efficiency on my first driver, it will be a fet one.
      Oh nice I will set a comment in the Convoy thread, and see what he says, and think he will say not in first instance, but if many people ask for it, it could happen.

    How good is the flappy flap covering the charging port? Does it keep the dust and water out reliably or does it only make a flappy sound? It's my main concern woth this light, on the one hand I'd love to have the usb charging port but on the other hand I'm worried it might be a weakness.

      It feels okay but how much can they be trusted? If you have it in your pocket it could catch on something.

    When this comes out with Anduril 2 it'll be perfect for me

    • @everydaysurvivalgear
      @everydaysurvivalgear  ปีที่แล้ว

      That should be a neat upgrade but the stock driver is good as is. What modes do you use in Anduril? Ramping is similar between this and Anduril.

    • @NorthBorneoLights
      @NorthBorneoLights ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@everydaysurvivalgear the ramping in convoy's e-switch is less than ideal. It changes speed at different ranges and is highly inconsistent. With anduril you can adjust the ramp speed to your preference, and at each speed, the ramping is consistent all the way through. Ramping inconsistency is the main reason I've avoided convoy e-switches until know.

    Did you try the moonlight mode on the S21E? Hold from off.

    • @everydaysurvivalgear
      @everydaysurvivalgear  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yea I did it's okay but it's not that low compared to some other drivers, it's in the UI section of the video. Is moonlight and the lowest ramp the same level?

    • @300ZCorradoVR6Z
      @300ZCorradoVR6Z ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@everydaysurvivalgear I must have missed your test of moonlight, but the moonlight and lowest ramp level aren't the same. You can get to moonlight mode by holding the button when the light is off.

    • @everydaysurvivalgear
      @everydaysurvivalgear  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@300ZCorradoVR6Z I had to double check if i even mentioned moonlight mode as i redone a part of the video, its in there wasn't sure. I did test the moonlight mode of the S21E driver vs the BLF A6 driver (S2+) and there is a huge difference. I speak about the instant turbo mode another great features the UI is good.

      Hello, yea that driver and LED combination are fine, You might not get as many Lumens from the SST-20 as the 519A.
