I've been criticized before for not showing a complete PWC wipeout and recovery, I thought this recovery was a good one to show the whole thing ;)... here you go.. 00:33 / Spoiler Alert.. they float around a while then get back on.
The scout at 8:30 really slid through there like butter especially for its size only boats that did that well were 2 maybe 3 times its size .. great design for inlets like this miserable place
Pc Principal I was mesmerized by how well it was able to slice through those waves. You are right, all the boats twice as large were able to go through that smoothly but nowhere close to that speed.
Beautiful and very powerful design of NOR-TECH 340, bad driving though! Fools on RXT-X 300 will not even comment. Zippy great vid again, really enjoyed it!
I believe the boat you ask the make may be an older Pursuit? I am guessing the shot at 10:08 is why they are closing parks on the East Coast. None of those people look to be "social distancing" as that area is packed.
Wow, I don’t know what it is about that closing shot, but I love it! As always, awesome work! I was stationed in St Pete and loved watching the boats go in and out.
That cuddly has got to be the best bow stuff you’ve ever filmed. The Intrepid was amazing cutting through the slop! Best video yet and I’ve been watching for years!
So many things wrong with that PWC recovery, scary stuff. All the bow riding in that chop is insane, my boat you are at the stern until we get out of that stuff.
No surprise that big Sunseeker Predator 74 was clearly the most sea worthy. Man it went through that without breaking a sweat. With a lot of those open deck boats, the passengers looked like they were holding on for their life.
Tero T: That bow rider seating is just useless. Having said that I’m now watching the drunken bums with beers and no idea.... I’d love to know how many helms have any form of on water qualification?
when I've been on my dad's boat hitting even a small wave sends a loud shock-wave through the hull that makes you think it's going to break in half, I couldn't imagine what this would be like. I'd like to see onboard footage of this kinda thing!
I was thinking the same. In waters like this just knowing how to swim will not always save your life. They fall off their boats they could easily drown.
I wonder on average how many boat a month Cracked something Or loose items damage ? Clanking like that is fun until something broke Or passenger not bending with the wave and crack a vertebra
Ok, two questions. 1. Why would you have 5 engines when you could have fewer with more hp or an inboard? 2. Is it really that hard to match the speed of the boat to the waves??
Dry, comfortable/smooth or fast. Can only have 2 of those. You can see in each instance the effect of speed and type of boat having on those 3 factors. Often times, going faster is smoother but gives off more splash.
I watch these videos and wonder what my boat would be like out there was surprised to see the boat at 5:45 very similar to mine except mine is an inboard 4.3 merc and the boat is a 190 sport. I will stick to calm lakes
This is why you always check your lifejackets for wear, and then make sure you actually buckle them up. Especialy when you on a PWC, like a small speed boat okay maybe you don't need them all done up, but a pwc in water like that you are just not thinking.
geez some people dont know how to navigate those smaller boats in those inlets. i saw a few taking it easy there. but its like driving, you'll always have those people that just dont know what they doing.
Do you need any training / licensing to operate a boat? I'm not smart but it really seems like a lot of folks are super challenged by moving a watercraft around....
yes and no, depends where you are in the US, in Florida, there is a very basic online safety course that people born after 1988 or something around there have to take.
OK ..!! You have the best channel on TH-cam ...!! Buy a better Camera with better Zoom ...so we can see better the small details from the hulls ... As i see ...the boat must be up from 14 meters ..to connect the waves...
Thank you for the video . In order for your pfd to work properly it has to be worn properly . I watched this video twice just to make sure I knew what I was talking about . Hope all is well .
four to six knots. here is a view looking down from the bridge at the clearance sign to give you an idea of the speed.. th-cam.com/video/a0eqb4SA-tU/w-d-xo.html
With a bar crossing with so much potential for loss of life I can't believe that people are not wearing life vests. In Australia it is mandatory crossing potential dangerous bars. Bet old mate with 9 on board didn't have nine vests on hand or for that matter where they were located. Boat tips over it is all ready too late.
Ben Barnett you bet. Life jacket not only saved my life one time but brought me back up just in time before my feet got chopped by the prop. That was 34 yrs ago. Still wearing one today!
I've been criticized before for not showing a complete PWC wipeout and recovery, I thought this recovery was a good one to show the whole thing ;)... here you go.. 00:33 / Spoiler Alert.. they float around a while then get back on.
Honestly I think it's more fun to stay guessing whether they survived or not... Not a fan of PWCs. 😂😂
I enjoy your videos very much. Can we see some PURSUIT Boats? ;)
Keep filming Zip- You'll eventually get some 4k of a twin screw surface drive doing a cuisinart on some drunk daredevil tourists.
Is this recent?
The first person is the biggest moron I've ever seen
Makes me smile knowing there are enough people in this world to keep the Coast Guard gainfully employed.
HAHA
😂😂

I swear people should have a license for PWC’s. So many clueless people on them everyday
Engine201 in New Jersey you need a boating safety cert to operate one and a large portion of the class focuses on PWC safety
I honestly only have one issue with them. Stop sitting near the north side jettie!!! That's a calm flat spot for us to return from sea.
It is a requirement in Aus for PWC and boat, unless the outboard motor is less than 6hp
CT you have to take a boating class and the PWC classes to be able to own one. Renting, just have to be at least 18 I think?
More like every boat. I see way too many morons on boats that have no idea when they are give way or stand on, nor do they give a fuck.
I always timed the tide when coming through inlets in Florida. We are a 45 foot sailboat and we have crossed an ocean, but those inlets are fierce!
I tend to buckle my life jacket, unless I have a cheetah print thong😉
Its looks too big anyway plus being unzipped. She was about to win a Darwin award.
snikwad003 you saw a cheetah print? Looked like she had nothing on to me.
Pics or it didn't happen.
I like my zebra print man thong. It hides my
Log but lets the berries dangle.
@@michynature HAHA
boat at 7:55 might be a Grady White based on the deck curve.
Beautiful and very powerful design of NOR-TECH 340, bad driving though!
Fools on RXT-X 300 will not even comment.
Zippy great vid again, really enjoyed it!
thanks for choosing this recovery to show us. volunteers were great.
1:30 well done! It’s like a brand new day with these people in the bow.
Great videos man! Thanks for not ruining it with music too. Keep it up!
That was me in the background on my yamaha exciter 270 @ 1:26 I wish you filmed me sending it!
Love that Intrepid at the end. Nice looking boat.
That Scout 420 LXF sliced through those waves and current like a knife through hot butter. Nice boat!
That Robalo 26' @ 1:30 stuffed it so hard!!! One day people will learn how to navigate an inlet with a current. 😂
When wave lenght, high and steepness changes constantly it's allmost impossible to navigate Even decently with small boat.
I hope they will
Well built boat cannot make up for lack of skill.
@@averagejoe9343 Well the boat got it's bow stuffed and popped right up again and said no problem!
That part of the video makes me want a R264
7:30 Intrepid with 7 screaming by that noise dont get old.
I believe the boat you ask the make may be an older Pursuit? I am guessing the shot at 10:08 is why they are closing parks on the East Coast. None of those people look to be "social distancing" as that area is packed.
Up here in NC, when we have waves almost as big as those in this inlet, the weather calls for small craft warnings. Lol
Mike D I can testify that this is true.
Wow, I don’t know what it is about that closing shot, but I love it!
As always, awesome work! I was stationed in St Pete and loved watching the boats go in and out.
thanks, i think it is how everything is in shade except the boat, like a spotlight is on it
Enjoyed all the information on the different boats. Well done Sir!
1:12 full screen
My good friend once showed me how to read the waves and use the throttle accordingly. My back is thankful for that to this day
That cuddly has got to be the best bow stuff you’ve ever filmed. The Intrepid was amazing cutting through the slop! Best video yet and I’ve been watching for years!
DJ Cordes bow stuffs are preventable if you know how to use throttle
That mystic sounds incredible!
So many things wrong with that PWC recovery, scary stuff. All the bow riding in that chop is insane, my boat you are at the stern until we get out of that stuff.
Some of those big center consoles just punch right through. Kind of badass.
yep. solid ride on the big ones
That Scout flipped its middle finger at those waves!
The boat at 3:30 what is the purpose of the roll bar on a boat?
7:44.....looks like an older Grady-White maybe?
Maybe that or old Mako
My heart stopped...., but neon green kickstarts my heart. Yeah,... I'm o.k., I'm good now.
1.21 Robalo eats a wave coming off plane then expertly rides the trough, cool shot.
the chop at the inlet can be surprising!
that little washing machine section as they are going out .. fun to watch
5:00 or so ... she's holding that pole like she's done that before..LOL
06:45 shes gonna need an adjustment after that hit 😂 WOW
No surprise that big Sunseeker Predator 74 was clearly the most sea worthy. Man it went through that without breaking a sweat. With a lot of those open deck boats, the passengers looked like they were holding on for their life.
Damn, all those hard "back breaker" slams just makes me suffer for them.
Tero T: That bow rider seating is just useless. Having said that I’m now watching the drunken bums with beers and no idea....

You never see pfd on these people. Amazing!
I was thinking the same. In waters like this just knowing how to swim will not always save your life. They fall off their boats they could easily drown.
Scary enough for them to keep screaming; not scary enough to put on buoyancy. Boating reduced to a fairground ride.
7:45 That's a 25 ft Angler CC. It's an "open mold" boat design.
looks kinda like a Grady White
Looked like an older Doral
7:03 looks like his boyfriend strapped him down on the front of the boat.
The center console you asked what is it? Looks like a older Stamas. Maybe
I wonder on average how many boat a month Cracked something
Or loose items damage ?
Clanking like that is fun until something broke
Or passenger not bending with the wave and crack a vertebra
What happens when the pwc pilot throttles up while swimmers behind nozzle not wearing wetsuit bottoms?
7:45 almost looks like an older Sea fox mixed with a little Dusky.... 🤔🤔🤔
i was thinking dusky as well but it is not. i couldn't find a match for that stern.
The bow of the boat says dusky but that transom is not a dusky. I'm usually really good at these things...😂😂
27 polar.
Ok, two questions.

Your camera quality is outrageous. I had to dim my iPad. 👍🏾
That little center console is a old Grady white I belive?
The unknown boat is a Polar 2700. I have the 2300 version of that boat. Polar went out of business around 2009.
thanks for the confirmation of the Polar, was not even thinking about them
Sea Ray Boats, Yamaha Boats, Mastercraft Boats, HCB Boats, (and soon) Christensen Yachts all made in Vonore, Tennessee.
to me, HCB is the strange one, giant center consoles made in Tennessee
Wouahhh...Ça brasse ! Ça brasse ! La mer est passablement déchaînée ! Les plaisirs des boats !! ;-)
So what are the PWC Boat Year, Make and Models shown in this video?
I watch these videos and wonder what my boat would be like out there was surprised to see the boat at 5:45 very similar to mine except mine is an inboard 4.3 merc and the boat is a 190 sport. I will stick to calm lakes
Do American aerials work better when they are down? Please let me know
Dad of the year award goes to the guy on the jet ski
When did Robalo start making submarines?
That yacht at the beginning was beautiful
Would you know which video or videos I could find a grady white 37 express in ?
Life vests must be very expensive ?
The guy filming the pelican at 10:03 🤣
was that a grady white center console?
What’s the key to navigating such waves? What’s the strategy?
Can you do a pwc video? 👍
That Sea*Doo recovered some fine ass.
Dangerous, but nice rump view.
That was so hot.
I know it's kinda dumb question, but what makes this area so wild? I mean those waves, does it come from a river? Rapids?
not a dumb question. outgoing tide with incoming swell.. I made a vid to answer the common questions... th-cam.com/video/PpTUV6Qgls0/w-d-xo.html
Thanks man, 👍🏻😀
Great recordings Ted!

Anybody else notice the cape Horn and the scout with that big Carolina V? Water rolls right off!
Even that race boat mystic took a little blue water over the nose... That's a good day. 😂
Why is the water always so rough in this spot? Love the videos!
Tide running out against the wind.
No zoom function on your camera?
Fo reel!
I want to see a few Axobar 37 or 27 blast through.
The F yards were out in full force that day.. It’s literally like watching a coastguard training video of all the things that could go wrong..
That back ground of the high rise in the distance looks like something out of Blade Runner. It looks so eerie
7:43 Polar CC 25 to 27" wtih out a doubt
Totally agree, I've only seen 1 live here in Panama... heavy hull but congrats man comments from the captain "but sea worthy "
I felt so dangerous between boat and Jetski!?
So it’s the current rushing out that makes this so difficult?
outgoing tide meeting an incoming swell with onshore wind (most of the time it is calm) zipzappower.com/haulover-boats/#why-is-haulover-so-rough

Nice video! What equipment are you using to record?
Some of these Bozos should never be allowed to get their hands on a helm.
Duly noted , 47 foot boat never checks up. Just hammer down and look around at everyone else like what's the problem just a little wave!
OK ..!! You have the best channel on TH-cam ...!!
Buy a better Camera with better Zoom ...so we can see better the small details from the hulls ...
As i see ...the boat must be up from 14 meters ..to connect the waves...
thanks, will work to incorporate "upclose" shots in future videos.
Thank you for the video . In order for your pfd to work properly it has to be worn properly . I watched this video twice just to make sure I knew what I was talking about . Hope all is well .
yes, she was not wearing it properly, and i suspect it was too big for her.
What kind of guy rides a PWC sidesaddle?
6:32 watch her head in the front. Fun ride became not so funny.
😂😂😂😂
Where is it
1:27 Now that is why I would never buy a center console or bow rider
How fast is the current coming out of there?
four to six knots. here is a view looking down from the bridge at the clearance sign to give you an idea of the speed.. th-cam.com/video/a0eqb4SA-tU/w-d-xo.html
zip can we get some zoom plz!!🤣
why are the in/outlets always so wavey?
answer to that question... zipzappower.com/haulover-boats/#why-is-haulover-so-rough
Because the console is in the center
@5:08..9 on a boat...social distancing at it's Floridian best.
With a bar crossing with so much potential for loss of life I can't believe that people are not wearing life vests. In Australia it is mandatory crossing potential dangerous bars. Some of those on the bow will be 3 inches smaller when they get back on land
Life vest too loose?
The wake of that yacht took him out!
The boat a 7:45 is a Polar, think it's the 27ft.
ohhh, polar, thansk! didn't think about them, looks like a 2700 ish
8:17 is a million dollars???!!!
