They're saying that, and I'm just here like, "Holy fuck, are you guys even hearing this riff?!" I don't give a rat's twat if they occasionally have poked fun at other similar style bands, etc and I certainly sure as balls don't expect every band that emerges to 'reinvent the wheel' and revolutionize rock music. You know what a band like Lich King have done and continue to do? They turn another generation on to thrash who may have never given it the time of day before, but since hearing something from Lich King's latest album being played by a friend, that once post-hardcore, screamo, and metalcore fan may have just been converted into something much, much greater in the world of metal...a thrash metal fan! Slowly they begin to explore the subgenre, diving into back catalogues of thrash artists that they should have already been familiar with, but sadly were not. My one buddy is a year older than me even, at 34 years old, and he said to me the other day, "I didn't know that Metallica was actually a thrash band for like their first decade. Is that really true?" I'm like, wtf?! Granted, he's just getting into metal over the past few years as he was just strictly mostly a rap fan until fairly recently, but I assumed even the 98 year olds at your local nursing home knew that shit. "Fuck yeah, 'Fight Fire with Fire' was my shit many years ago. And thems were real pits too, not this pussy slam dancing you have today!", lol. These guys have been capturing a lot of people's attention and I think they'll continue to, which is great for thrash because these guys do it fucking awesomely!
I was going to buy your first albums from iTunes, but the production sounded terrible. Great songs, bad quality :( This sounds much better though, I will buy it for sure :)
