I love Jimmy! He's the greatest drummer I have ever heard! I wish I had him as my drummer :D, that would be a wet dream come true hahaha. Amazing performer and an exceptional drummer. God bless you Jimmy Chamberlin
There's an MP3 download of this show somewhere. I burned a handful of the tracks onto a CD of assorted SP live stuff and have it in the car at all times.
One of the best SP era. Nice lineup and extremely great sound of guitars and drums. Awesome vocals. Winterlong such an underrated song. That was different band of what they are
Artty 1975 "Untitled", as found on the B-sides disc of the greatest hits record but before that if it was a really heavy song it was "heavy Metal Machine"
This was part of a residency where the idea was to debut new songs and let the new band gel and get more comfortable playing together. They would play different sets every night spanning all the eras of the band.
2 things A) I moved into my current house during late June-early July during 2007, so during the Zeitgeist tour. However, I was too young to go and my family wasn't into the Pumpkins. Funny thing to, one of my dad's first jobs (when we moved down from NoCal) was actually in Fillmore since he works in construction. B) Jimmy on guitar is soooo weird haha
What an incredibly strange concert. Is there an explanation for this? The only songs they play that aren't b-sides or rarities are from MACHINA. No classics or even tracks from the album for which they're touring (although the track "Zeitgeist" appeared on some versions of the album).
this set definitely wasn’t for the casual fan. but it still rocked. the pumpkins’ catalog is so deep that even if i has never heard any of their singles, they would still be my favorite band.
I always wondered about this gig? To me, it was like the end of an era or something. Billy was in a strange place and Jimmy looked kinda bored and was about to leave. Now I know the set-list wasn't the set-list (for contractual reasons) and it wasn't what it appeared to be. Still a great gig. A fitting visual treat of Billy & JC's last tour together.
Actually if you look up the shows setlists, you'll see that this set not at all what was played. I was there 8 out of the 11 nights.. This DVD unfortunately was ruined by the fact that Billy Corgan doesn't own the rights to the classic catalog. These were the odds and ends song that they busted out in 3's to break up the mega huge 31/2 hour sets. Check out the pirate bay to see the full show..
1:01:24 Man, I literally felt Billy's embarrassment in my chest/stomach when he fucked that up. Well, now I have confirmed that I have a very strange emotional connection to Billy. Probably still the greatest performance of Heavy Metal Machine I've ever seen though.
Space Boy my brother and I are convinced that he meant to mess up ... to sort of poke fun at metal guitarists who use that technique all the time..could be wrong tho
Jimmy Chamberlin. These guys were super tight here... drum sound is amazing (same for the guitars).

Thank god you uploaded this concert. It is incredible how I took from granted this era.

Strange in the best possible way
Who the hell really wants to hear Today or Disarm anymore anyway.. these type
Of songs are where they shine!
this set definitely wasn’t for the casual fan.

The shows were advertised as being "free form" if I remember correctly, as in "Hey, your not going to hear Bullet."

Death From Above, better than album version
What's the name of the song at around 1:05 mark? Someone help me out? So good. Beautiful, heavy music.
+Artty 1975 The Rose March
Thanks buddy!
No problem man. Hey have you heard "Crawl" from the Pisces Iscariot reissue? VERY good.
Reissue? Nope. I'll check it out now, though.
best line up of musicians

Wait what??
1:01:24 Wow, I've never seen Billy fuck up a solo that bad before on video O_O This residency thing must've been rough.
it sounds like his guitar went out..
I think Superchrist is ending up being my favourite off this. It just sounds like such a glorious fuck you to everything.

The War Of Ghosts He didn't mess up... the guitar was cutting out. You can clearly see him playing way more notes than what you're hearing
I went to one of these Filmore shows. They were too fucking loud and the sounds was horrendous.
I've seen the pumpkins 6 times. I'd risk covid to see them again🎵🎶🎸🥁🎸unless Billy pulls a Dave Grohl🙄
this set is for nerds
Its amazing 💜💜💜

AMEN!!!!
HERMANO
AMEN
If Corgan didn't own the rights at the time (which he does now, I believe) then how do you explain Starla and the 3 Machina songs being on it?
mcferglestein well he can play what the f he wants can't he!!!
That’s one of the coolest names I’ve ever seen. Your my boy McFerglestein.
