Great choice for a video! Man, I could have spent a week at it before figuring it out. The owner's manual is useless for instructions. One helpful tip, which may be obvious, is to turn counterclockwise to disengage the spring and then the other way to engage it again. Glad I found you.
Hi, clear instructions on the video! Question: I have been searching for hours trying to find out where and which fuse is for the Daytime Running Lights. With my 2015 Jeep Renegade when I turn off the car the drivers side running light remains on. Last night I disconnected the battery to get the light to turn off. Until I can get this fixed I'd rather just pull the fuse instead of having to keep disconnecting the battery... Any ideas? Also, what might my issue be? For years the passenger DRL has been out...bulb was replaced then a couple weeks later out again so I wonder if it's the same sort of issue, but in reverse.

Thanks for posting! Got to wonder who's bright idea was it to mount the fuses that way!? Probably an engineer that didn't want owners to do any repairs on their own jeeps so in turn bring it back to the dealer so they can bill their customers!

Could you tell me if this is where the fuses would be to hard-wire a kit for a dash cam? I have a 2016 Renegade Limited, and I saw a guy on TH-cam show a 2018 renegade with the fuse box behind the dashboard on the driver's side. And in another video, with a Renegade Trail Hawk I think, the fuses were behind the glove compartment. Thanks.
just to add, there's at least 3 fuse boxes. The one mention in the video, one under the dash (driver's side) and another in the luggage compartment. I only found this out after the fuse I was trying to replace did not match the cavity of that in the engine compartment fuse box... it was located in the luggage compartment. I am still hoping it is a bad fuse that cause my driver side power seat to stop working (im stuck in a reclinedposition)
In the fuse box... is there a fuse for the lock and unlock button? Like the lock and unlock button in my car door is not working... when i lock the car with my keyfob it wont lock or unlock.. keyfob working cuz lights go on and i also put in new battery... so i know its the button on my car door not working.. so i jus want to know if theres a fuse for that in the box?

great! .. i have an issue with rear windshield sprayer, how do you take it off from the rear spoiler, I tried this morning, seems the screws are on the trunk gate, but it really hard to get, but even then, I wasnt sure if those are it. ... i dont want start un screwing things and ended up wrong. , so if you please ... give me some suggestion or advice... thanks

My AC and door lock stop working all at once. I hope it just fuse need to change. I had three diagnostic test done. I was told in need new compressor blower value because AC was not blowing. The second test I just needed frezon to see if there a link. So i purchased frezon kit the guy said he need to run errands. I went to place number it free AC check. The guy showed me the gauges when adding frezon and pressure was good etc. There no link frezon in the jeep. I was now advised I need a mechanic electrician. I going to check fuse box to check if the fuse is out. No mechanic not once said check fused box! Really, people...

+Ryan Miller I get where your coming from......haven't really seen an issues here at the dealership for water related issues in the fuse box under the hood. +MotorCity Mechanic wish that was the case... Even a class action lawsuit happened in 2013 with the TIPM. Just was at dealer getting mine reset, and saw the new 2015 models have the same set up as my 2007. Due to cost, and number of problems you can have, I will not buy a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep.
I have seen some issues with TIPM's over the years but never water. None the less anything is possible. As far as class action law suits....there is one on every brand of vehicle out there. Being a dealership mechanic....you have friends at other dealers with other brands and the horror stories you hear. No brand is immune. Engineers all get their degrees from the same colleges and move from one company to another. I haven't heard of a perfect car line yet. Still don't like seeing the issues or people having to pay for them like yourself. Even knowing what I know.....I wouldn't personally own any other brand myself. Yes I can work on it myself because I do it everyday but none of my vehicles are under warranty so if the cost of repairs were too much I would have a chance of mind but up till today....I still feel the same way. You can get a good/bad anything. Heck they cant even make ice cream these days without making people sick. Now does that mean there isn't models of vehicle that we make that I wouldn't buy....I pick my battles lol. I have my favorites and those I rather forget but who doesn't. How do you get to the 'Body Computer Fuse Center'? My electric locks don't work any more and I want to check the fuses, which seem to be in that fuse box.

I have had the same problems with my locks and found the location of the body computer fuse box but I couldn't get to it. Looks like I'm going to try and make a trip to the dealership. My renegade is only 3 mths old, should be covered under warranty. Would appreciate if any one has anymore information about this.

When I tried the remote it would lock and unlock the hatchback as well as flash the lights and honk the horn but it would not lock the any of the 4 doors. I went on some other sites and I found other people with the same problem and they said the temporary fix was disconnecting then reconnecting the battery. I just did that and everything seems to be working again. Not sure how long it's going to stay working.
Yeah on todays vehicles.....finding an ignition feed circuit is getting harder and harder. I dont deal with adding accessories so I cant say whats the best place to find what your wanting. When I use to do car stereos 15 years ago...I had a manual that listed all the vehicles and it gave the info on where to go to find circuits for when adding stereos and alarms systems. Not sure if they still do that or not.

Let's put a fuse box in the engine..not like it ever rains. At least this seems like a better seal vs Cherokee, Liberty, Caliber, ect.
