I wish more resellers would follow your advise. As a buyer I get really annoyed when sellers try to sell their "good/acceptable" books as "very good/like new".
Thanks, just bought some acceptable rated books on Amazon and was wondering what kind of shape I can expect them to be in. If this is the case, i’m buying all future books used
Man, dude this was very helpful because I’m new and would’ve thought one of those “like new” books would be listed as new since I’ve ordered new books from book stores and they looked like that. But I get the goal, “under promise, over deliver”.😎👍🏾
also get another set of eyes to see any small detail you may miss out. when you're starting, take extra time, go with your gut feeling with the condition and what you categorize it under. if not sure, leave it, go back to it later on.
Bro, I listen to your videos while I drive doing Uber eats and Postmates, I almost crashed when I heard you say there was a slice of cheese in your book. LOLOLOLOL. I honestly had to pull over to recover. Thanks for all the help man.
I'm dealing with a library from a very old woman who was part of the book club. Every month she would get a book take it out of the box and stick it on the shelf so by all accounts they're basically new. Here's the weird part at the top and bottom of each book cover, the paper part, there's a thin piece of tape like she neurotically protected the edges of the book covers so that they wouldn't be ripped or accidentally damaged. So even though the book and the book cover are in excellent condition it has a little less than a half an inch of clear tape along the top and the bottom. It's not discolored it's not flaking off it's in great shape. So how would you grade something like that or does that destroy the value of the book cover?
But also not plastic around the cover? Sounds like it was prepped for library use, but without the clear? These are 100% NOT NEW. If you don’t have the receipt to prove they are new, they’re not. You will lose your account on a single claim of used sold as new as you cannot back it up. Do not try to remove the tape, it will rip the covers, instead leave it on and use a razor to cleanly separate it from the cover or leave it on if it doesn’t look bad
@@ReezyResells it doesn't look bad it's just odd. And it does keep the covers from ripping so that's a but that's a good thing. And they are really in pristine nearly new condition. However since they have been in somebody's home I realize they can't be "new." Some of the pictures I have seen on Amazon of what goes for new doesn't even look new. Anywho thank you for your informational content and response. You have been on auto-play.😊
Nope, I wouldnt clean them unless they were particularly dirty. I would remove price tags so the buyer can't see what you paid, but if it's a random store barcode sticker on the back, you can just cover it up w the amazon label
Yo...idk if it's worth your time, but you CAN run a regular iron over paper and it will smooth out. Obviously, make sure not to use your iron on steam mode for this. Even if you don't use this info for books you sell, it is also helpful when giving cash as a gift. A nice crisp $100 bill in a card to a bride and groom just looks nicer than a mangled one. That said, they will def spend either! Lol! *Bonus tip* Always give cash at weddings or graduations. Those peeps need $! Save more thoughtful gift giving for bdays and anniversaries
Reezy! You should do a vid on how to price books! Which BSRs/conditions you want to price higher/lower; Whether to go for the buy box each time or hold out for more profit...ya feel me? :)
Very helpful video. Got a question, my local Dollar Tree sells new books, but some have a marker dot on the edge of the pages like some thrifts do, just have to list them as used-like new in that case? Appreciate all your hard work.
Thank you for all the videos, great information! Question: I'm ready to send in a couple of books, do I plastic sleeve the book, like ziplock bag to prevent any damage or just label it and send it in. Thank you in advance!
How should books with FOL clearance price stamped on the bottom edge of pages be listed? It isn't a remainder mark but it was purchased for a few dollars.
Great video, thanks. Compared to me you condition the books way better. Maybe I need to rethink my conditioning because that Lord of the Rings book would have been "acceptable" and definitely not "good" for me. Thanks Reezy.
+weechoochter I don’t get much complaints, and I get others removed *most of the time ,but data says condition doesn’t matter, I don’t know if I believe that but who knows,
Funny! Love the cheese! I condition much more conservatively. A few of your vg's are goods for me. Ur LN is a vg to me...i don't list as new so that would be consistent with all my lower grades.
Hi there, Question...if the dust page of a book is slightly bruised you but the rest of the book is in very good condition, who you pass on the book or would you decide to donate the book?
@@ReezyResells O ok. Can you link your conditioning books video? I tried to find it under your uploads but I'm sure I overlooked it. Thanks for responding.
Hi Reezy, I see you have a Dymo 450 label maker. I was wondering if you used this to make FBA product labels and if so how you go about doing that. I see paid services to print product labels directly from Seller Central but I'm not sure if that's the way to go. I'm currently using Avery labels but I want to print individual product labels with the 450 if possible. Thanks so much for your content and time. -Scott

Could do as very good, kind of pushing it, safer to do as good. If the book warranted it which it probably wouldn’t you could put a blank label over in scription like a 4 x 6 postage label on the inside cover covering up that note from grandma
I have some books that I got from the library sale. It’s totally fine, sometimes you can take the plastic off and they are like new under, and you could send in as very good, but generally we just drop the condition by one notch for ex library books
@@ReezyResells Thank you very much I been stressing on these books since I got them. Some of them yes do have a plastic over them but some a clear tape on them as well. No shrink wrap on them but can easily tell they’re never read/opened. New seller don’t want to risk too much but I see them as new.. please help. Thanks!

Question: I have books for sale with the previous owner's name with ink on the inside of the cover, the books are in perfect condition, but I do not know how to grade the condition. Someone help me, please!
Why do you see books priced at 300.00 from some sellers when the book averages 3.99 from many others? I see that a lot. Also why do book prices seem to go up and down on ebay.
Yo reezy I have been hawking ur videos bro. I got hella books from a yard sale. like a whole car full for $5. unfortunately a lot were wet and water damaged tho... they were sitting on some planks that I believe were wet. Most all are water damaged but some are super old and from like 1926. I threw away a lot of the super gross ones but some seem salvageable. Is quality control as strict on eBay as it is on amazon? Obviously I don’t wanna sell like moldy books. But with some of the older ones, and just some of the super wavy paged ones... thinking about lotting them up and being honest on the description. Also some of them that are in GOOD or even great condition smell a bit musty from being in the same room as the wet ones. Suggestions? Fan and ac obviously but I’m hoping I made the right decision still by accepting the haul. I don’t have a amazon sellers account yet either so eBay may be a good start? Sorry for such a long comment dude. I just love how you give free information and your cut to the chase. Not out here making the longest intro and longest videos you can with a million ads, and selling some course like everyone else. Big ups.
