J. Cole - Let Nas Down (Extended Remix) ft. Nas

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 26 ก.ย. 2024
- Let Nas Down Remix and Original, Combined Smoothly.
The transition is at 3:36 but it can't be heard because both tracks have the same line on the hook. "Long Live The Idols" is the start of the remix.
Sounds Like It Was Recorded As One Song. Best Way To Listen To Both Tracks And Hear The Full Story.
"I used to print out Nas raps and tape them up on my wall, my friends thought it was words, but it was pictures I saw. And since I wanted to draw, I used to read them in awe" that part is amazing

Not Old School that's from the "True School" to the New School. Old school is like Sugar Hill Gang and Ron Dmc, that's the old school of rap. Then you have the real area of rap music then new school

You know J Cole must have been mad at Nas when he heard. I'm glad he was mature enough to go a different way and put it all on a record which makes Cole in a vulnerable position and then to have Nas come back and embrace him. I feel like this whole record is a triumph of love over hate. Cole could've dissed Nas and Nas could've clowned on Cole. Maria Josa Why did you cry
Man soor I didnt get he lsot respect in his idol, he was disappointed in himself, he says it in the song. Because he knew Nas was correct in not liking the song. He knew he gave into mainstream for a quick second makin that song(me personaly liked it, as something to hear on the radio, but it is nothing compared to his REAL tunes), This was basically an apology to Nas, telling him he will stay on track. The whole album, is about fighting the temptations, and evils once he got paid. This song goes more perfect with the album then people seem to get, not just something he threw in because he felt he needed to get the song to the public.

Truth spoken. J. Cole is slept on more than anyone else in this era.

@andrew Martinez I actually completely agree but it's about time a mainstream artist actually speaks from the heart and tries to stay lyrical. But you are right underground will always be more lyrically complex then mainstream. They just have more heart and love for the art of hip hop

There will never be another Nas. The greatest there ever was. The greatest there will ever be.
lil nas x stepped in the game
You can feel the strong emotion in both versions. Mad love to all the queens Legends.
I respect PAC and big so much but whenever I hear rappers like NAS spit it's like...can't even explain it bro.
That's cause he's a poet
and because he's the best, c'mon now
Finesser, keep a tech9 in my dresser! The goat for sure
Because they will forever be the greats
We love these fools because they kept it real no matter what... It was such a sight to see when I was growing up to see real artist rap is like pop now and it's lost its realness and when you hear this shit it's like hearing Michaelangelo paint a picture. Shit is fucking nice dog. Fuck.
Nas is just a fucking poet way he writes his bars it just hits sm different than others
Been listening to Nas for 20 plus years, and this is probably my favorite verse ever!!! Wow! Legendary! Imma play this song in 10 years and cry at its greatness.
Feel like we all grew up together. Since 93-94.
Goosebumps. Underrated part of hip hop history.
Never heard Nasty Nas' verse on this song with Cole.... damn near shed a tear, Wow. Beautiful verse from one of the greats.
I lose it every time knowing how much he loves his mother and the art of hip hop.
Have you ever listened to a rap track and you start smiling uncontrollably. Two legends different generations

You're not a true Nas fan if I can't feel the weight of this track. Someone who idolized Nas made a track about disappointing said idol...AND HAD HIM RESPOND!!!! Smh. I would've straight cried if I was Cole. NO SHAME!

this is one of the best rap songs of all time. old school new school, no beef, just true respect and love for the true rap. its sad its so underrated . damn , i think songs like this will not happen again so soon. that makes me really sad damn
This song gave me the biggest chills and almost brought a tear to my eye... it's beautiful
I imagine this chorus as a wedding toast. As a groom hailing the bride's dad. I know this is a different story, but that's how I pictured this song in my head. A family gathering with the scores settled in peace, especially at the last chorus.
Beautiful shit!
4 Years AND STILL THE GREATEST SONG EVER 🤤🙌🏼💎
Yo... It's a dope song, but not the greatest ever.
