Miss Linda this was enjoyable to watch! I love watching different techniques as well! I just picked up some of this granulation medium and wasn’t sure how to use it , thank you for showing me ☺️
I just found you and after watching only two videos, I subscribed. I plan on watching many more of your videos. Thank you for posting. And after reading all the comments, please know that I agree with all of the positive things they said and how many of us seem to want more tutorials like this one.🙏🌵🎨
I have just 'found' you, Linda Brown - I am loving your video, the colours and granulation are just fabulous. I wish to begin this type of landscape so I see I'm at the best place. Thanks you!
Oh wow so beautifullll. I really want to try this, as a beginner i need some inspiring practice and this will fit the bill! I’m excited to be your new subscriber and watch more of your videos, thank you!
Just subscribed - are you using cotton cold press paper? I tried it on Daler Rowney cold press 100% cellulose and found it dried very quickly. But I may have been doing it wrong as I'm new to watercolour. What would you recommend?
Oh no, it must be the paper sizing, not good enough and the paper is just absorbing the watercolour too quickly. I use Canson Montval 300gsm cold pressed paper or Arches 300gsm cold pressed watercolour paper. Thanks for subscribing 😀
You make it look so easy. I loved your video but when I tried it it didn't work. How do you keep your paper so wet? My paper dried so I had to spray it and that didn't help at all. I think I need different materials. I've ordered the granulation medium and some of the Daniel Smith granulated paints so I'll try it again when those come in. I didn't notice was your paper wet before you put the turquoise paint on. I'm not going to give up. Thanks for making such beautiful videos. I do love those colors together too.
I use either Canson cold pressed 300gsm or Arches cold pressed 300gsm. The paper can make a huge difference. Some papers are very absorbent and will not give you what you need for this technique. Try working smaller to learn the techniques then go bigger, good luck :)
So my favourite palette, in order of what I absolutely adore Quinaquadone gold deep Sodalite Genuine Pthalo turquoise Ultramarine Blue New Gamboge (warm yellow) Sorry here's more... burnt sienna and burnt umber, indigo lol
Amazing video Linda. I learnt so much. I have never used inks before and have bought an acrylic sepia colour ink pot. Would that be okay to use please? Please do more such videos. Thanks
I’ve used sepia ink in painting but not for this technique:) you should definitely try it! I would suggest experimenting on a small piece of WC paper, play around and see what it does 😀

What kind of ink are you using? Your work is stunning! I love when the paint is allowed to play on the paper like this. Thank you for this demo!
Just acrylic ink, Indian ink works well too
@@lindabrownartist Thanks so much! I bought some acrylic ink.
Perfect, don’t use too much, less is more x

Gorgeous thank you. Have subscribed. Is that 300g smooth paper?
I always use cold pressed (medium) :)
Art Spectrum Watercolor ink or acrylic ink?
Indian ink works well, I've also used acrylic ink that was fine too

Oh I was going to ask what are your top five granulating water colors? Or whatever ones you couldn't live without.
I use either Canson cold pressed 300gsm or Arches cold pressed 300gsm. The paper can make a huge difference. Some papers are very absorbent and will not give you what you need for this technique.

So my favourite palette, in order of what I absolutely adore
Quinaquadone gold deep
Sodalite Genuine
Pthalo turquoise
Ultramarine Blue
New Gamboge (warm yellow)
Sorry here's more... burnt sienna and burnt umber, indigo lol
Thankyou Linda - beautiful 😄 can you tell me which tape you use to secure your paper? And do you stretch your paper first? TIA
I use 300gsm, no need to stretch first. I use just masking tape ‘painters tape from Bunnings
Hi. What is the name and brand of turquoise you are using. ❤
Daniel Smith pthalo turquoise :)
@@lindabrownartist thanks.

Hi,beautiful technique. Just one quick question; What kind of paper are you using?. Cold pressed, hot pressed?. Thank you
Cold pressed Canson
How gorgeous! May I have your permission to include a link to this video in my next 2KatStudios newsletter? Thank you!
