    No auto tune, just pure talent. " You've List That Loving Feeling " also showcases Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield together. It is the MOST PLAYED SONG IN HISTORY. That should say enough.

    There are two Righteous Bros but at times they did solos performances This was Bobby Hatfield LIVE PERFORMANCE on the Andy Williams show there was no do overs or auto-tone just his God given voice from the heavens above and a small microphone. Bobby OWNS this song no one can touch his performance it was effortless, smooth, and sheer perfection. Many Artists before and after him have done this song but no one will ever compare to Bobby Listen to the both Righteous Bros sing You've Lost that loving feeling, Your my Soul and Inspiration and You'll never walk alone they are great together.

    This was a live performance. Bobby Hatfield's performance here is one for the ages and can not be replicated. This was "Blue Eye Soul" as its finest. I was 11 years old when this came out back in 1965. And today 54 years later, and now at 65 years old. The song as fresh to me today. As it was when I was an 11 year old boy. Priceless!

    I am 81 and remember quite a few singers doing this but Bobby's tops them all. I was heading to Viet Nam when his version can out. I can feel the loneliness in every word. Bill and Bobby always did one solo on each of there albums and while on tour. They both wanted to do Unchained, so they flipped a coin. The music was written as the theme for the little-known prison film “Unchained” (January 1955), hence the song title. Todd Duncan sang the vocals for the film soundtrack. It has since become a standard and one of the most recorded songs of the 20th century, most notably by the Righteous Brothers. The movie “Unchained” is about a man in prison and longing for his wife and children. Hoping his wife will still be there when he gets out. So you can now understand the meaning of the song. The movie was not very good, or so my friends told me. But we were all teenagers so what did we now. Several artists sang it and it made the billboard top 100. But no one can come close to Bobby Hatfield’s version. Bobby’s version hit the top ten chart. And did it again when it was used in the movie “Ghost” It has since become a standard and one of the most recorded songs of the 20th century, most notably by Bobby. According to the song's publishing administrator, over 1,500 recordings of "Unchained Melody" have been made by more than 670 artists, in multiple languages.

    The late great Bobby Hatfield made this song his very own. He hit those high notes with no effort whatsoever. No straining, no tightening of the neck, no facial change just pure easy singing. Raw talent at it's best.
    As an added bonus, Bobby wasn't only a great singer, but he was also fine as hell, the total package. RIP JOB WELL DONE!!!!!!

    This was Bobby Hatfield’s song and Bill Medley, the other brother, knew it and stood this one out. You should check out You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling, for their full effect. They truly are righteous.

      Lyn Bush actually Bill Medley produced the song and played the piano intro on the song....Bill always said if he knew it was going to be such a big hit he would’ve hired a better piano player....

    Most great singers can raise their voice an octave at best and usually for just effect. This guy can raise his that octave and nearly another one on top of that and sing in that range effortlessly.

    • @robertlavallee591
      @robertlavallee591 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bobby Hatfield had a 4 octave vocal range and was also the rare countertenor so that gave him plenty natural ability to hit the high soprano notes with complete ease,it was decided between Bobby and singing partner Bill Medley that Bobby would sing this as a solo.

    That was a solo song by Bobby Hatfield. His co-singer, Bill Medley is the second part of the act but they aren't brothers. It's good to see that kind of talent that can stand on its own merits without distraction of smoke, sparks and flashing lights. Back in the day, we called that kind of music belly rubbing music when you hold your girl tight and she is pressed into your chest and you slowly dance while looking into her eyes and feeling the love.

    The Righteous Brothers were not brothers. They had such a unique sound between them that a group of black singers told them their singing was ‘righteous’; thus the name stuck. They sang both together and some solos; this song they flipped a coin to see who would record this particular song. Many did think they were black dudes because of the rich soul sound of their singing. If you care to watch this video again, you will notice that you just do not see Bob take a breath throughout the song because of the control he had. His singing so effortlessly with a live audience, shows his immense talent. Trained singers learn control of their diaphram to appear they don’t need a big breath for a stanza of singing. This is a timeless, classic song, played in the movie ‘Ghost’, which revived new interest in their recordings. Bob has passed, but Bill has found a new partner and currently has a long-standing gig in Las Vegas in his late ‘70s. Glad that you enjoyed this and appreciate your reaction. I hope you delve into more of their singing. ‘You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling’ is another one of their many great recordings.

    I think the guys were in their mid twenties in 1965. They look a little older because the suits band members wore back then. Sam Cooke was around back then and he was really great if you'd like to react to him. Bring It On Home To Me, News (man ain't that news), You Send Me, just to name a few. You might need to go back to grandma's day for him. I was around 10 when I listened to him in 1963 and I'm 67 now. You werre remembering songs by Marvin Gaye from the 70"s but he had great ones back in the 60's too.

      But Aaron Neville sings in falsetto (false voice) and Bobby Hatfield sings in a pure tenor. This is what sets Bobby apart from many good singers. Hatfield is remarkable. His vocal range is beyond Neville who is indeed a great singer. Hatfield hits all the notes unblemished with no falsetto -- or autotune. Many people don't know the difference between falsetto & pure tenor. A pure tenor can approach operatic. Aaron wouldn't be able to do that.

    Please refrain from interrupting these songs to talk. Several reviewers do that. It ruins the experience to have it broken up that way. For example, the observation you made about the size of the stage did not add anything but detracted from the pleasure of hearing the song. Save your comments for after the song ends if you don't mind the suggestion.

    • @truthwins3065
      @truthwins3065 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      John Clement Another suggestion: you can just go to TH-cam and find the song without comment which should probably make you happy.

    • @johnclement4158
      @johnclement4158 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@truthwins3065 Certainly but that misses the point. The idea here is that the reviewer is hearing the song for the first time and his or her reaction is the critical element. That's what captures our interest. The other part, equally important, is that we also get to hear the song whether or not for the first time and, in that context, consider the other person's initial reaction compared to our own. Talking through the song breaks up that experience. You may not have considered that the ordinary listener, on his own, typically has heard the song before without interruption and so has enjoyed it, now re-experienced anew. Constant chatter form the reviewer interferes with that. There's no reason the reviewer cannot wait until the song ends and make his observations then. I'd rather enjoy the song before hearing the reaction.

    Check out Bobby's other solos (all on You Tube) His sensational voice and style are evident in all his songs. You won't be disappointed. Hope to see your reaction to those.. Cathy Farrell

    This is actually a cover- the song was written for a prison movie. Listen to it again, to the lyrics, and imagine a prisoner singing it...
