    Notice Crawford rarely if not ever leaves himself out of position to throw a punch,m. His balance is never highlighted or appreciated. His footwork in the ring is his greatest strength IMO. It’s where he generates his power, gives him his angles and allows him to fight/defend/counter from any direction. He never lunges or takes too wide of a stride. Small adjustments with the back and lead foot gives him the ability to attack an opponent’s blindsides.

      His balance and rhythm are elite, some of the best footwork in boxing too. When do you ever see him stuck in a corner or up against the ropes letting someone tee of on him. One of the most complete fighters of all time imo

      @@SOLE_II_SOUL Hagler didn’t have the same punch variety in his switches, elite defense out of each stance and versatility as Bud. Hagler one of my favorites but Bud took the crown of best switch hitter from him.

    Bud is a generational talent. He’s got it all. Reflexes, great eyes, power , hand and foot speed, timing and balance. He’s a natural. When momma is paying folks to whoop your ass you better be good..

    Just love the way that Bud keeps punching even when moving on defence and when he shifting weight from lead leg to back leg and continuously moving in and out of range controlling distance and the same time baiting his opp to step into somn and he’s constantly changing the angles he can counter punch from. Bud is a true master. Thanks gems for helping me understand and appreciate skills much more. Bud is like a Bruce Lee of boxing so that comparison with water fluidity is perfect.

    😃 Yep. Thanks for putting this up. The effortlessness in which he switches is just mind boggling. And thanks for the many clips showing him delivering power shots while going backwards. That was the reason I never saw the Porter fight as 50/50 ... too many times Bud has knocked someone down off the back foot.

      A lot of fighters “rhythm step” at some point in a fight. But as long as it’s not a tendency or repeated pattern, you get away with it. Your opponent has to be able to time it to take advantage.

    My well respected boxing coach said Iam not ready to switch to orthodox yet. It was hard to digest it when he said iam ready when iam on the level of the top guy in gym. But he cant compare me to him, because I NEVER get comfortable in the coordination. I always alternate honesty in different drills, even in the kitchen. Since I started Boxing, I always reminded myself: LIQUID. I needed this GEM

    Boxing Gem I honestly think the Terrence Crawford is the most hated boxer today. do you agree ? I don’t know why they hate him so much because he’s actually a good family man and a man of character. Above all he’s an elite skill boxer, I believe he’s the most skill boxer today. So I don’t understand why the hate ! 🤷🏾‍♂️

    Bud will go down as a top 10 all time talent. If he beats errol and then either takes boots or goes up and take out charlo he will be top 10 all time in my opinion. He is the most gifted fighter iv ever seen. His iq and ability is ridiculous

    Only thing dangerous about his southpaw stance is he has always been vulnerable to punches. Hopefully he doesn’t engage on the inside with Spence or he’ll get knocked out. Southpaw will be his best chance on he needs to keep the fight on the outside.

    No technique..Its just basically street fighting...Hit with whatever punch is available..Textbook boxers have problems with fighters that have an orthodox way of fighting..Prince Hasim for example,here's another one Deontay Wilder..It takes an Elite boxer with a high i.q to defeat fighters like this! Also they usually have to be willing to slug fest with these orthodox fighters to break their will..I'm not impressed but but excited that Crawford has accomplished what he has with this particular way of fighting

      Porter was a top 5 contender and former Champion who decided to retire at 34. Hating narratives don’t work here and boxing skill isn’t a popularity contest.

      There’s only one person in the whole sport who has more names on his record that’s Canelo and he has a loss, a draw, and three disputed wins while also getting caught using drugs. No one in the sport has won belts in three divisions ,while unifying the second, while beating 5 Olympians two of which was gold medalist. Son this is not just a record this brings Bud automatically to hall of fame while Spence hasn’t cleared his own division out.
