Hey hey! I know I usually let you guys think of the context behind my art, but I decided to explain this one as it might be confusing to some... OKAY, so, if you couldn't tell already, Princess Luna has been banished to the moon -- but instead of pony physics, real-life physics are applied. The second Luna is teleported to the moon, the shackles burrowed deep into the surface (by the elements of harmony) pull her down. She realizes she can't breathe, and would have frozen instantly if it wasn't for her quick thinking; she immediately uses her magic to supply herself with oxygen, and fight off the cold. After days of screaming, crying, begging for forgiveness and trying to get away, the realization of her inevitable death slowly dawns on her. Thus, as her strength fades... so does her magic. As the last bit of magic leaves her horn and her breath turns to ice, she manages to croak out her final words: "...I'm sorry."
You could always do a follow up piece as well of Celestia realising what she's done when nightmare moon is defeated to reveal the frozen, dead body of her sister.. Since nightmare moon could represent what's left of Luna's anger and be more spirit than her actual body.
Imagine centuries after Luna's banishment, Celestia decides to bring Luna back, deciding she's served her time. She summons Luna back, directly into the throne room of Canterlot. Except what she finds isn't her sister, it's a perfectly preserved, frozen corpse.
This death in particular really makes me so sad even before reading Blits' comment for the context. I mean, she had to accept her death after being surrounded by nothing but silence, all on her own. What saddens me the most though is that, obviously, nobody notices when she stops breathing or says her last words. Her struggle to stay alive was pointless and her moment of death was completely unacknowledged :(
Pretty much And when she "comes back" as nightmare moon, I feel more its her spirit trying to get revenge on Celestia and the main six need to put her soul to rest and then Resurrection
And now, imagine the day when she was meant to be released from the Moon, instead of Nightmare Moon, a frozen body of Luna comes back. I wonder how Celestia would react, damm that would be heartbreaking.. 😨
She would've bent down and wrapped her wings around her in one last loving embrace,"I'm so sorry Luna, will you forgive me?.......I love you" she said softly as her tears of sorrow ran down her cheek and touched her sister's cheek for the last time.So in my opinion,she should die of a broken heart,just like Princess Cadence did.
Imagine Celestia just singing Lullaby for a princess in this exact moment It would make sense, the tired eyes of Luna after so much struggle to survive in there, Celestia singing good night to her as a final goodbye to the young Sister she loved. or At least it makes sense to me, idk- EDIT: Jesus Christ, thanks for the likes! Reading that after the context behind this piece, im sobbing. Its a beautiful piece and honestly, it hurts my heart to think of Celestia singing goodnight and a final goodbye..
Ah, so that’s why she’s such a dark blue- spending 1000 years on the moon had chilled her body to astronomically low temperatures, and is so distant whenever she’s around her brighter counterpart.
This beautiful drawing has given me an idea for Princess Celestia’s death: Self-sacrifice Celestia has acknowledged that her beloved sister is going to die when she’s banished to the moon. She sung to the moon, even screamed her apologies. At that moment Celestia wanted to see her for the last time alive. She has desided to fly up to her. But as she is getting more high she realizes that it’s gonna kill her. But her love and feelings for her sister were more stronger than her wisdom and her happiness for living. And as she leaves the Equestria and is in the space she realizes that there is no gravitation is space. As Luna she can’t breathe so she uses her magic for this. After long struggling and fighting with zero gravity and no energy Celestia accepts her death and floating deep in space she looks at the moon for her last time as her bit of her magic fades and she slowly chokes, her last tears freezes in cold she passes away with last words as her sister: „... I am so sorry... sister....”
12:24 that drop and the image of luna freezing to death made me cry, so sad just to think the physical and emotional pain she had to endure and how it all ended up

This is honestly one of the most beautiful of the mlp deaths you’ve done so far. Fluttershys death was so gory and her expression peaceful but Luna is beautiful in the fact that she was frozen in her pain, her shackles opened wounds on her legs but nothing too gory. And her eyes so dead but alive all the same, longing for her sisters comfort. Gahhh I love this so much 💙💙💙
*Light, that was all that blinded her vision. A flash and wave of a bright light that had struck her, the rainbow colors of the 6 elements of harmony taking her down and shackling her hooves together in defeat.* *Immediately, She found herself back to her normal self. However though, a loud clank accompanied with the sound of her body hitting against what felt like a cold dirt ground bursted from her ears. Before she could speak, she felt like she was unable to breathe in any oxygen, quickly recognizing that she was now banished on the moon by her beloved sister.* *Her horn lit up fast before she felt the burning coldness in her hooves from almost turning her into complete ice, the shackles feeling cold to the touch and causing her body to shiver. With her quick thinking thankfully, she was able to use her magic to provide her with oxygen and to fight off the cold.* *She tried to stand, the shackles pulling her back down on her hooves, making her let out a weak grunt from already using her magic for survival after being banished,* "C-Celestia, please sister! I didn't mean to try to take over..I just wanted to be loved and adored just like you!!" *Her voice echoed into the void of space, for she knew that her and only her was the one who was stuck on this godforsaken empty planet as her punishment.* *Scared and panicked of her magic going out, the realization of what she had done struck down in her mind hard. She stayed silent for a moment, her tears slowly streaming down her face as she curled her lip, a small painful whimper escaping her as she again attempted to stand free from the shackles that were still holding her down tightly,* "Sister please!! I'm sorry!! I'm so sorry!!..Please unbanish me, I'm all alone and it's so cold here!! Please lend me your forgiveness and let us rule together as sisters!!!.." *She tried to yell and scream at the top of her lungs, hoping for her sister to consider her pleas and cries if she even heard them at all. The pain in both her heart and voice was too much to bear to keep her standing up a bit despite her shackles trying to keep her down, causing her to give out the resistance she had showed to the chains as she slowly laid both body and head against the surface of her imprisonment, painful cries and whimpers being muffled from the nothingness in space.* *Days went by, Luna begging and pleading out loudly in desperate hopes that she could come back. It felt like ages though despite this, and the soreness of her eyes from crying out was already causing her vision to slightly blur.* *Along with her hope now being drained from her, so was her strength and magic. The blue light of the magic slowly fading out from her horn, as the realization of her upcoming death crept on every essence of her living being.* *Again, her body shivered from the unforgiving coldness that was brought upon her. Her eyes watching as her hooves showed a hint of bright red gained from the painful merciless frost bites, ice forming upon her wings and causing her to become frozen still in place.* *For one last time, Luna's head slowly lifted up from where she was laying with her eyes, admiring the sight of the stars that surrounded the pure darkness of endless space.* *Her view focused on the planet named Earth that stood above her eyes, staring down at her just like how the figure of her sister had.* *She could feel her face becoming frozen as well, her eyes becoming painful for her to keep open from the ice that was forming upon them, her voice sounding weak and giving out as her breath froze in the air and became ice while she spoke,* "...I'm sorry."
Idea for aftermath: The mane 6 become the lead council of equestria, with Twilight Sparkle being Princess. They would all be standing at the former princess' graves, Just paying respects
But how treacherous does Celestia have to be to do something like her sister? I swear, this is the first speedpaint that made me shiver. (Note: I don't hate Celestia, because she is my favorite princess.)
I don't think she would know that it would kill Luna, she probably would think she'd be IN the moon rather than stuck on it. Not like she had any other choice, she couldn't fight her off and she had to protect the citizens. She couldn't just let her go free to create havoc. She was probably not thinking correctly either, because it is her sister, her mind was probably in a million directions on what to do and she took the option that was closest to her.
This one is so sad, but at the same time beautiful. Like a splash of blood on golden flooring its terrifying yet you cant look away. You know she is dying a slow and painful death but the way it is presented is poetic. Gahh i love it so much! 💕
Oh wow. Was scrolling through the comments and found this small but poetic masterpiece. I got shivers from that simile. Totally unexpected and different from how i think and i think that's why i loved it so much.
I have an idea for celestia's death. It's were she tries making the days longer, cause she's trying to keep away Nightmare moon , so she goes up to the sun and tries pull it closer but ends up over estimating her power, and gets burned to ash, by the heat and light.
4:17 It’s very brief, right after she finishes lining the thigh. I suggest putting it on 0.25x and pausing a lot starting from 4:16 so you can catch it. There’s also a bit of writing on the screen at the first few milliseconds at 4:27 I think? where Blitz writes that she stopped drawing to have a short conversation or something like that.

I think that this is the best speedpaint I watched from you. Everything was perfect, the music, the details you put in the drawing, the wings, the tiny crystals of ice. It was just beautiful. Congratulations, you've come so far, please, never stop creating this wonderful art.
Luna opened her eyes only to realize that she had been vanished to the cold, unhabitable moon. "Please sister! I meant no harm!!" She cried, hoping, that someone will hear her, but also knowing there's no way. She realizes that she can't breathe. A glow comes from her horn as she tries to protect herself from the sheer cold, and to keep her breathing properly. She tries to get up, but finds that cold metal chains are holding her down. She could feel her hooves and snout getting frostbite. It was stinging so bad. She soon notices that she's getting very exhausted from using her magic for so long. Her nose starts to bleed. She knows that her time is almost up. She lets out a raspy scream, "PLEASE SEND ME BACK, IM DYING SISTER PLEASE!!" she lets out a chilling cry. Her eyes are burning from them freezing over. The last bit of magic is draining from her horn. She tried to use the last of her strength, but the most she could do was raise a painful, wounded wing, that soon froze. She shivered as she spoke her last words, "please.. sister..." Her lifeless body lay there, preserved by the cold. Aftermath: Celestia decided to bring Luna back from her banishment. Her horn lit, and the room, which the princesses were standing in, went cold and silent. Luna's body, stuck in the very position she died in, lay in the middle of the room. Celestia let out a spine chilling scream. She killed her very own sister..

The shackles held her down until the last drop of magic escaped her horn. She could no longer protect herself from the cold and suffocation. She thought about Celestia and all her friends, as slowly, her inevitable death creeped up on her. She knew she could do nothing. She cried, though no one was there to reassure her. She was all alone. Her death would not be noticed until way later, when she will be summoned, and they find her preserved dead corpse. This is my first time making a story, so tell me how I did! I know it's short, but I had nothing.
*Before reading, keep in mind that these paragraphs of context is a mix of a few comments! I thought I would get my story out with what happened to Princess Luna, so I would appreciate if you would read this.* Moments before Celestia banished Princess Luna to the moon, she was quick enough to endure herself in a magical bubble that had Earth’s oxygen inside. This bubble would keep her alive in the cold atmosphere of the moon. … Days pass, and Luna grows weak and exhausted. She knows that her magic is fading and that she will not be able to hold it for much longer. … An entire week on Earth passes, and Luna’s bubble begins to fade. The cold atmosphere catches up to her, as her skin starts turning into a solid blue. Her arteries start to become visible as her heart slows down. Her blood begins to stomp pumping through her veins and arteries, as she begins to freeze to death. Her bubble is completely gone, and only a small fade of magical blue comes from her horn. Icicles form everywhere on her body. … As Luna takes one last look at her home, she freezes to death. The glowing stars light years away is all she sees. Then..she sees nothing but pitch black... … A thousand years later, Celestia finally decides to bring her little sister back. She knew it would be very risky, but she had grown so lonely over the past ten decades. She needed someone to talk to..like her sister. Celestia summons the Elements of Harmony and through colorful flashes...her sister is back. Except..she was frozen. Her body was covered in thick layers of ice. Her skin was a mix of blue and purple. Her eyes were lifeless and dull. Her beautiful horn was broken and her arteries were snow white. Celestia collapses to the floor in utter grief. _How did I not see this coming?_ she thought. _I am so sorry, Luna.._ (I haven’t watched MLP in like 3 years. I’m sorry if some things are inaccurate! Thanks for reading!)
Wow. I mean the Cadance’s death was sad but this hit on a whole another level. It feels so much more sad. This was amazing work. The detail and story are impressive.

A beam shot from Celestia’s horn. The bright light woke Twilight. She stumbled to the window and murmured “What is she up to now.” She ruffled her wings and flew from her window. As she reached the window she realized that it was open. She tucked her wings in and slide through the window. She flopped on the ground and saw Celestia in front of a purple blue alicorn! She saw Celestia crying next to them. “W-who is that?” Twilight asked with a quick but quiet peep. “Oh Luna....I’m so sorry.” Celestia spoke softly, in a motherly type tone. It took Twilight a second but she realized. “Oh god...” she pulled her hoofs over her mouth. Celestia kept on saying “I’m sorry...I’m so sorry.” Then she said “Oh dear sister...oh dear Luna....” her head shot up and she looked at Twilight and spoke quickly “Get Cadance!” Twilight nodded and jumped out the window. [A few hours later] She leaped back in and said “She is coming!” As soon as that last word came out of her mouth Cadance came in her eyes opened with surprise then her eyes teared up. She ran to the frozen body of Luna. “Twilight, over here.” called Celestia. She walked over slowly. Celestia’s horn grew bright, then Cadance’s, and last was Twilight’s. A gasp could be heard. They turned of their magic, Luna’s eyes has frozen tears rolling down her cheeks as she unfroze they unfroze as well. “Sister!” Luna said, her eyes full of happiness. “I’m so sorry sister! Please don’t send me back!” Celestia held her sister in her arms and said happily “Oh dear Luna...I’m so sorry.” (Yay happy ending)
Of course it has to be good. Boring. Everything is always soooooo perfect in these kid's shows. Sometimes, it's better to see the villian win (A.K.A please write a bad ending)
After Luna's final breath, the 1000 year punishment soon turns into the count down of a broken and devastated soul waiting for her release to take vengeance and trying to find a way to rest in peace from her gleaming sister. Eventually, her restless soul finds peace and thus instead of dying alone, shes given a second chance at her lift to correct her wrongs and make up for lost time.
This is so beautiful and heartbreaking. TBH, I don’t think Celestia intended for Luna to get sent to the moon. I think the EoH are unpredictable and she didn’t know what would happen...just that Nightmare Moon was a threat to her people and had to be stopped before ponies lived in misery and/or lost their lives. If you plan on doing anymore deaths, here are some ideas- Shining Armor: loses a battle against Sombra Flurry Heart: passes her immortality and alicornhood onto her father so that he and her mother can be together forever... and in doing so, becomes old and dies herself Spike: stands between Twilight and an enemy, taking an attack for her which ends up kills him Discord: is so heartbroken after Fluttershy’s inevitable death that he turns back to his old, villainous ways; Princess Twilight has no choice but to use the EoH on him and rather than turning him to stone again, it kills him this time

Tia looked up at the moon. Her sister was up there. She knew that, tomorrow was going to be the day Luna returned. She smiled to herself. She was finally gonna get her sister back, everything was gonna be fine again. Twilight Sparkle lead her friends to the castle. "Well guys! We're gonna have to start preparing for Lunas return tomorrow!" Twilight remarked. "Oh oh does she like confetti?!" Pinkie pie said excited. "So the whole of equestria will be there?" "Yes." They decorated the halls and the remarkable gardens hour after hour. They too were excited for Lunas return. It'd be the most beautiful and heartwarming thing ever. 2 sisters reunited. THE NEXT DAY Tia pointed her horn to the moon, cautiously aiming. All the ponies of equestria were watching. Most fillies fell asleep on their guardians shoulder, it was better that way anyway, when you find out. Tia smiled to herself. A beam of magic, which was coloured rainbow shot out from her horn. It made it to the moon quick as a flash. As soon as it came back, it had Luna in its grasp. Her ice cold body fell onto the hard marble floor. Every pony gasped, eyes widening by the second. Tia opened her mouth to say something, nothing came out. What could she say? This was her fault after all.. Tears welded up in her eyes and she let out a loud weep of dismay. It broke all the ponies hearts. Seeing their princess like this. They all started crying, their life would never be the same seeing that. Tia was weeping and crying like no pony had seen before, the only time she cried like this was before she had to send her sister to the moon. There was no sound, except for her disheartening weeps of sadness. With that, her pure sadness rose the sun, and The moon set. Once again. Please don't copy :(

Eh a small story: “The night Celestia trapped her sister to the moon, The Moon Visibly became known as: The Mare In The Moon. But ratherly, She was on the surface. She realized she would freeze instantly if she didn’t have any suits on. So she immediately used her magic, However, it began to drain. After days, Screaming, Crying, Begging, or anything. Praying. Luna slowly froze and surrounded in silence of agony. She had nobody by her side. The skin of her, The fur.. began to shake quietly and froze her heart, By that moment, Luna managed to rise a sound.. Fierce led to Celestia’s ears. “I’m sorry..” A familiar voice came, But Celestia thought it was just in her head, But a gut of hers told her that this was her sister. At least Celestia had memories of Luna.” Sorry it’s kinda sad..

Imagine your sister your OLDER sister having her 6 strongest subjects send you to the moon to your death and begging crying screaming for forgiveness only to have the silent gaze of the universe to answer you in return as you freeze to death defenseless and powerless you think about how you looked up to your sister whom you loved and cared for did this to you... It's... It's just sad depressing and messed up
So you know how letters can be just sorts be poofed to different ponys that are unicorns. Imagine that the whole time luna was on the moon she sent letters to her sister. And in this scenario imagine luna sending a letter to celestia saying just this "Dear Sister, I'm sorry. I was a terrible terrible pony and tried to do terrible things. In my time here i have had the constant thought of what would have happened if i had succeeded and the thoughts discust me. This makes me happy that no pony-- creature ever has to worry about me ever agian. Celestia, i truly love you, goodbye my sister. May the earth live on peacefully without me. Luna"

The moon and space just _look_ cold... how does one even _manage_ to radiate temperature in art? This is one of my favorite videos of yours. Everything _about_ this is beautiful. In a melancholic way.
I love how her one wing is lifted up as if to flag someone down or to say," Hey, look up here! I'm still here. Waiting. Patiently. Please, don't leave me here all alone any longer. " And I love the expression on Luna's face too, as if she really has given up all hope of escape and that she knows her death is inevitably around the corner, but at the same time still wishful that someone might come to save her at the last moment.
I like how most comments here are being serious/talking about some cool backstory for this drawing while I am here noticing the fact that thicc was written on Luna's thigh at around 4:15

Am I the only one who actually liked the backstory for Nightmare Moon, Celestia, and Luna? The original backstory was badass, and even though they went over it, it still was awesome and to find out more about Luna and Nightmare Moon and where she came from would be better. I havent seen all of MLP, so I'll see. Amazing art though! To be honest this is my favorite out of all, and Luna's my favorite character!

Although I was sure Luna was Immortal could you just imagine being near death for almost a thousand years not being able to die because of immortality.
This is definitely another favorite! I'm a huge sucker for poetic tragedy 😂😭 and the colors and details are so gorgeous, I love the frost bite on lunas extremities as well as the frost itself. Beautifuuull 👌👌
You know... I always thought that when Luna got banished to the moon, she became part of the moon itself, hence why her nightmare version was always visible as a shadow on the moon-
It’s fucking sad cause if the show wasn’t so child friendly, this would’ve happened. And Luna wouldn’t be so forgiving of her sister. She could have frozen to death. On the moon, she probably looked at earth as she slowly frozen to death thinking, “I know I did wrong but please, I don’t wanna go like this. Please sister.”
Poor Luna she never got to say goodbye to her sister at least.....but what is important is that she fought for her life....she didn't give up until she could no longer...I would s as y that is the saddest story about mlp I ever heard.....if I could say anything to you in real life I would say you are fantastic,amazing,incredible.Also keep it up

Imagine centuries after Luna's banishment, Celestia decides to bring Luna back, deciding she's served her time. She summons Luna back, directly into the throne room of Canterlot. Except what she finds isn't her sister, it's a perfectly preserved, frozen corpse.

This death in particular really makes me so sad even before reading Blits' comment for the context. I mean, she had to accept her death after being surrounded by nothing but silence, all on her own. What saddens me the most though is that, obviously, nobody notices when she stops breathing or says her last words. Her struggle to stay alive was pointless and her moment of death was completely unacknowledged :(

This beautiful drawing has given me an idea for Princess Celestia’s death: Self-sacrifice
Celestia has acknowledged that her beloved sister is going to die when she’s banished to the moon. She sung to the moon, even screamed her apologies. At that moment Celestia wanted to see her for the last time alive. She has desided to fly up to her. But as she is getting more high she realizes that it’s gonna kill her. But her love and feelings for her sister were more stronger than her wisdom and her happiness for living. And as she leaves the Equestria and is in the space she realizes that there is no gravitation is space. As Luna she can’t breathe so she uses her magic for this. After long struggling and fighting with zero gravity and no energy Celestia accepts her death and floating deep in space she looks at the moon for her last time as her bit of her magic fades and she slowly chokes, her last tears freezes in cold she passes away with last words as her sister: „... I am so sorry... sister....”

This is honestly one of the most beautiful of the mlp deaths you’ve done so far. Fluttershys death was so gory and her expression peaceful but Luna is beautiful in the fact that she was frozen in her pain, her shackles opened wounds on her legs but nothing too gory. And her eyes so dead but alive all the same, longing for her sisters comfort.

*Light, that was all that blinded her vision. A flash and wave of a bright light that had struck her, the rainbow colors of the 6 elements of harmony taking her down and shackling her hooves together in defeat.*
*Immediately, She found herself back to her normal self. However though, a loud clank accompanied with the sound of her body hitting against what felt like a cold dirt ground bursted from her ears. Before she could speak, she felt like she was unable to breathe in any oxygen, quickly recognizing that she was now banished on the moon by her beloved sister.*
*Her horn lit up fast before she felt the burning coldness in her hooves from almost turning her into complete ice, the shackles feeling cold to the touch and causing her body to shiver. With her quick thinking thankfully, she was able to use her magic to provide her with oxygen and to fight off the cold.*
*She tried to stand, the shackles pulling her back down on her hooves, making her let out a weak grunt from already using her magic for survival after being banished,*
"C-Celestia, please sister! I didn't mean to try to take over..I just wanted to be loved and adored just like you!!"
*Her voice echoed into the void of space, for she knew that her and only her was the one who was stuck on this godforsaken empty planet as her punishment.*
*Scared and panicked of her magic going out, the realization of what she had done struck down in her mind hard. She stayed silent for a moment, her tears slowly streaming down her face as she curled her lip, a small painful whimper escaping her as she again attempted to stand free from the shackles that were still holding her down tightly,*
"Sister please!! I'm sorry!! I'm so sorry!!..Please unbanish me, I'm all alone and it's so cold here!! Please lend me your forgiveness and let us rule together as sisters!!!.."
*She tried to yell and scream at the top of her lungs, hoping for her sister to consider her pleas and cries if she even heard them at all. The pain in both her heart and voice was too much to bear to keep her standing up a bit despite her shackles trying to keep her down, causing her to give out the resistance she had showed to the chains as she slowly laid both body and head against the surface of her imprisonment, painful cries and whimpers being muffled from the nothingness in space.*
*Days went by, Luna begging and pleading out loudly in desperate hopes that she could come back. It felt like ages though despite this, and the soreness of her eyes from crying out was already causing her vision to slightly blur.*
*Along with her hope now being drained from her, so was her strength and magic. The blue light of the magic slowly fading out from her horn, as the realization of her upcoming death crept on every essence of her living being.*
*Again, her body shivered from the unforgiving coldness that was brought upon her. Her eyes watching as her hooves showed a hint of bright red gained from the painful merciless frost bites, ice forming upon her wings and causing her to become frozen still in place.*
*For one last time, Luna's head slowly lifted up from where she was laying with her eyes, admiring the sight of the stars that surrounded the pure darkness of endless space.*
*Her view focused on the planet named Earth that stood above her eyes, staring down at her just like how the figure of her sister had.*
*She could feel her face becoming frozen as well, her eyes becoming painful for her to keep open from the ice that was forming upon them, her voice sounding weak and giving out as her breath froze in the air and became ice while she spoke,*

I don't think she would know that it would kill Luna, she probably would think she'd be IN the moon rather than stuck on it. Not like she had any other choice, she couldn't fight her off and she had to protect the citizens. She couldn't just let her go free to create havoc. She was probably not thinking correctly either, because it is her sister, her mind was probably in a million directions on what to do and she took the option that was closest to her.

It's were she tries making the days longer, cause she's trying to keep away Nightmare moon , so she goes up to the sun and tries pull it closer but ends up over estimating her power, and gets burned to ash, by the heat and light.

There’s also a bit of writing on the screen at the first few milliseconds at 4:27 I think? where Blitz writes that she stopped drawing to have a short conversation or something like that.

Luna opened her eyes only to realize that she had been vanished to the cold, unhabitable moon. "Please sister! I meant no harm!!" She cried, hoping, that someone will hear her, but also knowing there's no way. She realizes that she can't breathe. A glow comes from her horn as she tries to protect herself from the sheer cold, and to keep her breathing properly. She tries to get up, but finds that cold metal chains are holding her down. She could feel her hooves and snout getting frostbite. It was stinging so bad. She soon notices that she's getting very exhausted from using her magic for so long. Her nose starts to bleed. She knows that her time is almost up. She lets out a raspy scream, "PLEASE SEND ME BACK, IM DYING SISTER PLEASE!!" she lets out a chilling cry. Her eyes are burning from them freezing over. The last bit of magic is draining from her horn. She tried to use the last of her strength, but the most she could do was raise a painful, wounded wing, that soon froze. She shivered as she spoke her last words, "please.. sister..." Her lifeless body lay there, preserved by the cold.
Aftermath: Celestia decided to bring Luna back from her banishment. Her horn lit, and the room, which the princesses were standing in, went cold and silent. Luna's body, stuck in the very position she died in, lay in the middle of the room. Celestia let out a spine chilling scream. She killed her very own sister..

The shackles held her down until the last drop of magic escaped her horn. She could no longer protect herself from the cold and suffocation. She thought about Celestia and all her friends, as slowly, her inevitable death creeped up on her. She knew she could do nothing. She cried, though no one was there to reassure her. She was all alone. Her death would not be noticed until way later, when she will be summoned, and they find her preserved dead corpse.
This is my first time making a story, so tell me how I did! I know it's short, but I had nothing.

*Before reading, keep in mind that these paragraphs of context is a mix of a few comments! I thought I would get my story out with what happened to Princess Luna, so I would appreciate if you would read this.*
Moments before Celestia banished Princess Luna to the moon, she was quick enough to endure herself in a magical bubble that had Earth’s oxygen inside. This bubble would keep her alive in the cold atmosphere of the moon.

Days pass, and Luna grows weak and exhausted. She knows that her magic is fading and that she will not be able to hold it for much longer.

An entire week on Earth passes, and Luna’s bubble begins to fade. The cold atmosphere catches up to her, as her skin starts turning into a solid blue. Her arteries start to become visible as her heart slows down. Her blood begins to stomp pumping through her veins and arteries, as she begins to freeze to death. Her bubble is completely gone, and only a small fade of magical blue comes from her horn. Icicles form everywhere on her body.

As Luna takes one last look at her home, she freezes to death. The glowing stars light years away is all she sees. Then..she sees nothing but pitch black...

A thousand years later, Celestia finally decides to bring her little sister back. She knew it would be very risky, but she had grown so lonely over the past ten decades. She needed someone to talk to..like her sister. Celestia summons the Elements of Harmony and through colorful flashes...her sister is back. Except..she was frozen. Her body was covered in thick layers of ice. Her skin was a mix of blue and purple. Her eyes were lifeless and dull. Her beautiful horn was broken and her arteries were snow white. Celestia collapses to the floor in utter grief. _How did I not see this coming?_ she thought. _I am so sorry, Luna.._

A beam shot from Celestia’s horn. The bright light woke Twilight. She stumbled to the window and murmured “What is she up to now.” She ruffled her wings and flew from her window. As she reached the window she realized that it was open. She tucked her wings in and slide through the window. She flopped on the ground and saw Celestia in front of a purple blue alicorn! She saw Celestia crying next to them. “W-who is that?” Twilight asked with a quick but quiet peep. “Oh Luna....I’m so sorry.” Celestia spoke softly, in a motherly type tone. It took Twilight a second but she realized. “Oh god...” she pulled her hoofs over her mouth. Celestia kept on saying “I’m sorry...I’m so sorry.” Then she said “Oh dear sister...oh dear Luna....” her head shot up and she looked at Twilight and spoke quickly “Get Cadance!” Twilight nodded and jumped out the window. [A few hours later]
She leaped back in and said “She is coming!” As soon as that last word came out of her mouth Cadance came in her eyes opened with surprise then her eyes teared up. She ran to the frozen body of Luna. “Twilight, over here.” called Celestia. She walked over slowly. Celestia’s horn grew bright, then Cadance’s, and last was Twilight’s. A gasp could be heard. They turned of their magic, Luna’s eyes has frozen tears rolling down her cheeks as she unfroze they unfroze as well. “Sister!” Luna said, her eyes full of happiness. “I’m so sorry sister! Please don’t send me back!” Celestia held her sister in her arms and said happily “Oh dear Luna...I’m so sorry.” (Yay happy ending)

The fact that Luna is one of my fav characters in my little pony makes it all the better. I love the detail and art style.
After Luna's final breath, the 1000 year punishment soon turns into the count down of a broken and devastated soul waiting for her release to take vengeance and trying to find a way to rest in peace from her gleaming sister. Eventually, her restless soul finds peace and thus instead of dying alone, shes given a second chance at her lift to correct her wrongs and make up for lost time.
This is so beautiful and heartbreaking. TBH, I don’t think Celestia intended for Luna to get sent to the moon. I think the EoH are unpredictable and she didn’t know what would happen...just that Nightmare Moon was a threat to her people and had to be stopped before ponies lived in misery and/or lost their lives.
If you plan on doing anymore deaths, here are some ideas-
Shining Armor: loses a battle against Sombra
Flurry Heart: passes her immortality and alicornhood onto her father so that he and her mother can be together forever... and in doing so, becomes old and dies herself
Spike: stands between Twilight and an enemy, taking an attack for her which ends up kills him
Discord: is so heartbroken after Fluttershy’s inevitable death that he turns back to his old, villainous ways; Princess Twilight has no choice but to use the EoH on him and rather than turning him to stone again, it kills him this time

Tia looked up at the moon. Her sister was up there. She knew that, tomorrow was going to be the day Luna returned. She smiled to herself. She was finally gonna get her sister back, everything was gonna be fine again.
Twilight Sparkle lead her friends to the castle. "Well guys! We're gonna have to start preparing for Lunas return tomorrow!" Twilight remarked. "Oh oh does she like confetti?!" Pinkie pie said excited. "So the whole of equestria will be there?" "Yes." They decorated the halls and the remarkable gardens hour after hour. They too were excited for Lunas return. It'd be the most beautiful and heartwarming thing ever. 2 sisters reunited.
THE NEXT DAY
Tia pointed her horn to the moon, cautiously aiming. All the ponies of equestria were watching. Most fillies fell asleep on their guardians shoulder, it was better that way anyway, when you find out. Tia smiled to herself. A beam of magic, which was coloured rainbow shot out from her horn. It made it to the moon quick as a flash.
As soon as it came back, it had Luna in its grasp. Her ice cold body fell onto the hard marble floor. Every pony gasped, eyes widening by the second. Tia opened her mouth to say something, nothing came out. What could she say? This was her fault after all.. Tears welded up in her eyes and she let out a loud weep of dismay. It broke all the ponies hearts. Seeing their princess like this. They all started crying, their life would never be the same seeing that. Tia was weeping and crying like no pony had seen before, the only time she cried like this was before she had to send her sister to the moon. There was no sound, except for her disheartening weeps of sadness. With that, her pure sadness rose the sun, and

So you know how letters can be just sorts be poofed to different ponys that are unicorns. Imagine that the whole time luna was on the moon she sent letters to her sister. And in this scenario imagine luna sending a letter to celestia saying just this
"Dear Sister,
I'm sorry. I was a terrible terrible pony and tried to do terrible things. In my time here i have had the constant thought of what would have happened if i had succeeded and the thoughts discust me. This makes me happy that no pony-- creature ever has to worry about me ever agian. Celestia, i truly love you, goodbye my sister. May the earth live on peacefully without me.

I love how her one wing is lifted up as if to flag someone down or to say," Hey, look up here! I'm still here. Waiting. Patiently. Please, don't leave me here all alone any longer. " And I love the expression on Luna's face too, as if she really has given up all hope of escape and that she knows her death is inevitably around the corner, but at the same time still wishful that someone might come to save her at the last moment.
This is amazing at the same time has to be one of the saddest Speedpaints I’ve ever watched out of all the mane six ones.
I like how most comments here are being serious/talking about some cool backstory for this drawing while I am here noticing the fact that thicc was written on Luna's thigh at around 4:15
What would be sad is for celestia to bring Luna back thinking she finally forgave her only to see Luna’s dead body..

Am I the only one who actually liked the backstory for Nightmare Moon, Celestia, and Luna? The original backstory was badass, and even though they went over it, it still was awesome and to find out more about Luna and Nightmare Moon and where she came from would be better. I havent seen all of MLP, so I'll see. Amazing art though! To be honest this is my favorite out of all, and Luna's my favorite character!

This is by far my most favorite Speedo it you’ve ever done. I love the music in the video, the songs you choose have now become my favourite to listen to. This is definitely another favorite! I'm a huge sucker for poetic tragedy 😂😭 and the colors and details are so gorgeous, I love the frost bite on lunas extremities as well as the frost itself. Beautifuuull 👌👌
You know... I always thought that when Luna got banished to the moon, she became part of the moon itself, hence why her nightmare version was always visible as a shadow on the moon-
Imagine celestia bringing her back only to find she is dead.
It’s fucking sad cause if the show wasn’t so child friendly, this would’ve happened. And Luna wouldn’t be so forgiving of her sister. She could have frozen to death. On the moon, she probably looked at earth as she slowly frozen to death thinking, “I know I did wrong but please, I don’t wanna go like this. Please sister.”
Poor Luna she never got to say goodbye to her sister at least.....but what is important is that she fought for her life....she didn't give up until she could no longer...I would s as y that is the saddest story about mlp I ever heard.....if I could say anything to you in real life I would say you are fantastic,amazing,incredible.Also keep it up
