Clarifier range and clarifier mode is right there in the menu. You skipped straight past it! And, these radios are ridiculously accurate, and dead on frequency just as you saw. With the NRC, you need to run on level 1 or 2 and you'll get some very good results. To enable and disable NRC for TX, you need to press the NRC button while the PTT is pressed. 73
Yep, went right past it several times. If it didn't have the clarifier adjustment, I'd be dinging this radio too ... but thankfully it has full adjustment, TX, RX, both, fine, course. Awesome radio not just for the CB'er but with the slick VFO for the 10m ham too.
That is a federal regulation in both Canada and the USA. Many people operate radios that they have no acquired licence to operate. Many radios also have modifications that are not approved.
@@Tobinindustrial Yeah, I get it. Skip today (on 11m) is absolutely bombastic. Ridiculously crazy busy. In other words, either thousands are law-abiding.. or they're not :)
@@Tobinindustrial Sideband is so busy it is stupid. However, I cannot speak to anyone... probably because 1) everyone and their pet sister's goldfish has an amplifier (which is illegal) or 2) all the ham guys are running 100w (or better) ICOMs or Yaesus. I guess I will just join the party and run 300 watts. As I type this, 37 is so busy you can't say anything.
I got mine today it worked fine for an hour or so untill it stopped transmitting or recieving just on the 11m band. (Says dc low) . First time buying an anytone product. It didnt impress me at all the receive quality is garbage as well. . Returning this piece of junk not sure why this radio is so hyped up my 35 year old 148 gtl is much much cleaner receive side.
Im sure its better to have him look at it before buying. I believe theres some bad units out there with this new version. Ive had bad experiences with anytone. I bought the quad 6 and the screen went blank after a week . Amazon sent another one and that one also had no function at all. It would power up but no rx or tx. Ive had 3 anytone's and they were all bad out of the factory. Im glad other people like them but ive never had one thar worked 🤷♂️
That's a great mobile radio you want a hundred Watts in the car with all the frequencies good receiver, no drift, tiny hard to beat for the price. The president digimic matches up great with that radio. You don't even need to rewire it
@@Tobinindustrial I’m this particular video , i see it’s a basic function and power check Does he still do the basic alignment and check all that stuff on his equipment upon request ?
Got mine a couple of weeks ago and definitely like it more than my Stryker 955. Greeat video snake.

yep i find u only need the NRC on 1 or 2 for RX and off for TX since most mics are noise canceling anyway.
Thanks for this information.

Wow that is definitely a nice mobile radio thanks for sharing Andy.
It sure is!
Still available
I am not sure. If you are interested, I can reach out to Tim and ask him.
One needs a license to operate this radio?

Once Tim does his work on these radios it is a whole lot better. I agree that the old scholl 148's are a better radio overall.
