If anything , this was during a time when people actually used the internet for informational and research purposes rather than for wasting their time.
As a big fan of the UK series this is such fun to watch. Basu is much more fun to watch than Jeremy Paxman, he actually looks like he's enjoying himself!
I am addicted to the UK version, personally think Jeremy Paxman is a legend. Was just thinking we need an Indian version of the University Challenge and came across this!
Well, English _IS_ one of the official languages of India. It comes across as a little bit staccato, but it means that such programs can appeal to a wider audience.
That I agree , but where i beg to differ is that , they poorly represented in academia..In fact Many brilliant female Students join academia in large numbers.
This show was awesome, they should make more of this.
I am high and this is awesome
Damn, even more impressive considering this was a time literally before the internet.

where's the women at?
Did not Qualify for the Quiz
It's noticable (to me at least :0) that women are poorly represented. Is there a special reason for this in Indian academia?
Women are poorly represented everywhere. Academia is no exception. Patriarchy runs deep.
In UC UK women are also very much in the minority.

Basu was such a pompous shownoff... His pronunciation was artificially difficult
