- I had qualified for BBC Mastermind India in 2001 and reached the national semi-finals. Here's my quarter-final and it was a tight contest with just one point separating the contenders.
My specialised subject in the quarter-final was Formula 1 (1950-2000). It was a great experience and I would like to thank everyone who made it possible for me to get to this stage.
This is a treat for any quiz buff! lovely!

Hate to show off, but on F1 I scored 16/16, but have to admin used the pause button to think on avg 3 seconds longer that the 1st gentleman...

why do the contestants look like they are robots or they have been held captive?
+thiruvetti The inspiration for Mastermind was a World War II interrogation - one spotlight in the detainee's face and being questioned repeatedly. The contestants always look like that because of the pressure and obviously, no one wants to be embarrassed on TV.
AAJ_Ka_Funda so many ideas have come out of the 2 world wars - gadgets, medicines and now quiz shows!
