👉 This spectacular performance of SOS (Dimash's calling card) took place on the sidelines of a benefit concert in Singapore. Dimash and Hauser know each other from the Virtuoso competition 2023 in Hungary. This competition was created by Maestro Placido Domingo for young classical artists and Dimash and Hauser were there as judges. That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home. This competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight.
