Вам никогда не понять российского менталитета! 7 - го января православные празднуют Рождество! 25 - го декабря празднуют католики, а в конце января празднуют Новый год калмыки,буряты и якуты то есть все буддисты. Мы многонациональная страна и у нас много конфессий,и мы все считаем друг друга одной семьёй.Но вам этого не понять.

Самый главный праздник в России - День победы.

Этот год снегом не сильно балует по сравнению с прошлым годом. Погода то оттепель, то морозец. Прошедшая зима была прекрасна. Морозная и снежная. А эта пока что слякотная

Actually, it was Peter the Great who introduced the celebration of the New Year in Russia. I believe, Christmas in Russia is a more religious holiday than in the West because it is focused on the birth of Jesus Christ rather than all that “commercial paraphernalia”around it. Therefore in Russia you have a very commercialised, very “over the top” celebration (according to some westerners) of the New Year and a very religious, calm and truly spiritual Christmas.

You haven’t studied much history have you? You are looking at the reason from your Morden perspective. You have the right to bear arms against against tyranny. Look at the uk, government owns us.

The US constitution, they fought a war and that is the rights their forefathers gave them in case they need to fight a government again. Opinions are fine, but if you want to share your opinion best be informed with it. Also you mention politicians should protect the people that elect them, the safest places to live in the US is in states which allow guns, and have self defense laws. Criminals prey on the weak, if they think they have a gun, not worth the risk. If only you had that in England just now with all the mass rapes and stabbings, would stop that right in its tracks. assuming you're English as you said Brit, and the English tend to forget they are not Britain.

@@Snipit1990 As a proud American you will never understand why we have tight gun controls. In the past 50 years we have only had one school mass shooting. Our parents are not apprehensive about sending their kids off to school unlike America. There are stabbings and rapes which ever country you live in. Bearing arms does not mean those crimes will stop. You guys need to get the assault rifles off the streets through tighter gun controls for the sake of your innocent children that are murdered just going to school. Surely you can see the sense in that. Children should never have to live in fear of being shot while at school my friend. The 2nd amendment does not call for weapons of war to be on your streets. The 2nd amendment was written so a person could defend their property and family (self defiance) and not to go on a rampage. Your NRA fights for the 2nd amendment because it makes for good business, weapons are a part of the American economy.

The 2nd constitution was written when guns had a firing rate of roughly 3 shots a minute. According to the FBI and the Office of National Statistics, there are 4.96 homicides due to knives or sharp instruments in the US for every million of population. In Britain there are 3.26 homicides involving knifes or sharp instruments per million of population. Adding guns to the equation doesn't reduce knife crime. According to the FBI and Crown Prosecution Service, there are 50.4 rapes per 100,000 in the US and 43.6 rapes per 100,000 in the UK so adding guns to the equation doesn't reduce rape either. @@lizardlenny Honestly this is one of the things I find so funny that Americans love to cite against Brits in the conversation of gun control. 'But you guys have so much knife crime', that's right, we do, by European standards we are pretty bad and we are constantly revising our laws, restrictions, policing and community outreach in order to tackle it. But We still have less knife crime than America and knives aren't even their preferred weapon of choice unlike over here. Your 7 times more likely to be murdered in the USA than the UK yet they love to make out we are a murderous violent in order to make themselves feel better about their current situation.
