De organist die hier preludeert voor het openingsakkoord van het onvolprezen Preludium en Fuga van Georg Böhms prachtig krachtig opwekkend fris en beknopt opus zei geprezen. Het is een geweldig mooi orgelwerk en een voorbeeld van de Noord - Duitse School dat hier bijzonder effectief wordt vertolkt. De registratie is robuust en voortvarend. Wat mij betreft een klankdocument van inzicht in en liefde voor de geweldige orgelmuziek die in die tijd is ontstaan.
When I max out on modern organ pieces that are 30+ minutes long and tax the ear greatly, I return to my old loves of the Baroque like this. The simplicity and tunefulness of this piece is soothing to the spirit yet uplifting. And it doesn't wear the ear out.

He knew two of the above mentioned (Buxtehude and Böhm) personally. So yes, Bach did not come falling from the blue sky. His genius is unparalleled though.
Excellent! I especially liked the opening arpeggio for the opening chord and all the ornimental trills and mordents. When I was following this piece on the IMSLP website it took me a moment to realize that the opening chord was played as an arpeggio. I will incorporate that into my playing of this piece. 5/5 stars!!!
Bram Beekman heeft dit het mooist gespeeld en nu wordt die kerk verlaten en komt het mooie de rijckere orgel van de onvolprezen Oostkerk misschien ten prooi van wat of niet. ik zal mij hier tot mijn laatste ademtocht toe verzetten. Dit bouwwerk met haar orgel moet in Middelburg blijven en alle oprechte hervormden en gereformeerden moeten zich onverwijld verenigen om dit te realiseren.
My hat off for the Verschueren Orgelbouw, excellent tuning (temperature) and disposition. Especially for this type of baroque music. Congratulations! (This is a small 2 manual, 20-30 stop instrument)
Als u het zo mooi doet in Dordrecht Hoeveel te meer zou het klinken als u op uw dienstreis in Middelburg dit gaat spelen tot meerdere glorie van Bach zijn voorganger ! Ik dacht altijd dat alles wat op orgelgebied geschreven was de grootst mogelijke flauwekul was Maar niets is minder waar ik heb dat aan u toegegeven. Ook is het in u te prijzen dat u Matter speelt. Nogmaals Veel speelvreugde gewenst. Het orgel zal u niet teleurstellen onder uw vaardige handen en voeten
It does get much better if you can hear Franz Lehrndorfer playing it on celstial christmas 5...i think this organist took the lead from Franz, but who knows....definitely the best i could find here too. This piece is a nightmare when it comes to the fugue

This organ is super powerful! Bohm's music is grand.
Böhm has a unique style and creativity in his work which i appreciate very much, just like bruhns aswell.

Bohm is on my list of favs. I do prefer the rendition by Joachim Volgelsanger played at Johanniskirche, where Bohm himself played.
