Everything you say is spot on. Yes more list on ebay the more ebay gives you sales. I usually list 10-20 a day and one day a week I list 40-50. Glad to see Ralph showing that support and that sales are doing better.

I have tried listing daily and find I fall of the wagon after a while. I just need to be more disciplined with my schedule and not let other things distract me. In this game its easy to get pulled into doing what you feel like, rather than what will generate most income. Thats something I have to do better at.

I have been heavily considering sorting out multiple large sets early, like right after they get released, even if they're still at retail prices. If you have a large enough store built up, and have the buying power to buy 5-10 large sets, you can command higher prices for a few months. Break even with a certain percentage, typically with the minifigures and some exclusives, and then have a bunch of 'free' inventory.

Getting sets early can be a very good strategy especially if you're focused on reselling the figures.

Good to see things picking up a bit for you this week, Keith. The minifig head sorting hack is brilliant - immediately using this myself. Thanks!

Another great video. I watch all of your videos. Good to see things are doing a little better. Cool to see you got some support from Ralph for your store. Also cool to see Derek( Pops) give you some feedback in the comments section. The two of those guys have been very helpful to me. Even though I only have a small store they have been very helpful and wiling to answer questions or supply feedback to me which is greatly appreciated. Keep up the great work and the great videos as well. I will have to check my wantlist and see if I need anything from your store. I only deal with the United States as I'm not sure how to do the international shipping stuff.

Agree with you on everything mentioned Keith, the past few weeks have been quite, things picked up this weekend for me. I'm now only selling on Bricklink as my sales on brickowl were so low that they didn't cover the fee for syncing the two stores. I'm finding that if I part-out and upload daily I get more sales.
    A great video as always

Shame you've had to drop Brickowl, I find both platforms take turns in being quiet. Today I had more orders on Brickowl than Bricklink.

Really good vlog this week Keith. Some interesting insights. Glad to see sales got off to a good start this month (I noticed an upturn myself this week). If and when you do decide to tackle the Millennium Falcon part out, be sure to share with us your efforts - not a task I envy !

Thanks David, I did feel it was a little more varied myself tbh. Will be sure to keep you guys posted on my efforts in all I do.

@@BrickArena Yes, I think that's why this week's vlog was so interesting - you mixed it up a bit. I think you should always try to add variety to the usual picking/packing - even if it's your thoughts on latest sets; trips to buy new stock; tips for fellow sellers, etc.

I think that had gone before I joined it but not sure what to think of it. I don't think I would want to just apply a broad change with some control.

HI Keith - Here's an idea for you, based upon my own "habits of buying and choosing one seller over another". I typically build a lot of the JK Brickworks models, I import the bricklist into Bricklink, and then click "Easy Buy" - which then lists the sellers who have the Most (or all) the parts to buy from the least number of sellers. What I tend to find is that you (brick arena), come quite a way down the list; meaning your're not listing many of the bricks to build these Models.
Maybe you could make more sales if you made sure your inventory has the most amount of bricks to build these models. Maybe trial it out with some of the smaller ones e.g. Mickey Mouse, The Bees, The Horse, The balancing kinetic Model, The Butter Fly etc - You may then find, you are getting more exposure/sales from people (like me) wanting to source all the bricks in one easy transaction.
It's worth a punt - and you always mention "I dont know what im going to do next" in your videos - so maybe this is something you could be checking 🙂

Thanks for the suggestion. I do know of some other sellers that look at popular MOC's of the moment and try to appeal to those builders. I'll have to do some analysis on some of the sets and see what I would need to acquire and how best to do that.

Pricing is so random on BL - Most parts that dont sell are usually not selling because your not hitting the buyers wanted list strong enough, not because of the price you set (within reason).
I tend to run the same exercise you have done monthly but I only do it on New parts that have not sold in the last 6 months. I dont tend to manually review the parts, i just reset the price to my standard setting and update. I just look at the total values (original v's reviewed) if there is a huge difference i might look.
I tend to run a price review on used every 6 months as its pretty stable and circulates through the store pretty steady.
Using omission filters in Brickstore is a god send when adding heads. I use terms like -dual, -hollow -blocked -female etc in the search to really strip down the results
Glad to hear that orders are slowly starting to pick up, Keep up the great work and Vlogs!!!

Hi Steve, My main reason for repricing is more to do with relatively newly released parts declining in price as they become more mainstream. I fully agree that the aim of the game is to get onto people's wanted lists which is why I think lot count is such a key consideration. I am much less worried about used parts as you say, they fluctuate far less.
You make some good points about the negative filters and I can see how they would improve things further.

Hello boro boy i watch a lot of american you tube and the sellers over there go by the attitude of i must list at least 5 items a day on ebay promote the item which in uk is now a minimum of 2% (or will be on the 11th july) also end so many items a day and relist them as sell similar ,i have watch sellers go through the process and you can see the results after two or three days so it defo works i have been using it when i can and it does work i end ten items a day and relist them as sell similar and try to list ten new items a day when i can ,One of the sellers goes made for two or three days and lists as many as he can and spreads the starting time out over a couple of days even upto a week worth of listing hope this helps

Hi Mate, Cheers for the tips. I must admit I blow a bit hot and cold with eBay. I'm just not a huge fan of the listing process. Is relishing as good as creating a fresh listing do you know?

    • @andrewhorner1078

@@BrickArena no when you end an item it will go into your unsold list go to the item and on the right hand side you will see sell similar click on that and your new item will come up no need for new photos as they will be there just go to bottom and list then go back into the unsold list and cancel the one you have just done ,this will give you a new listing with a new auction or bin number ,the way i do it is select ending soonest leave the ones which are ending on the same day as you are doing it , go to the next day and i count ten items down and end that then do the next day the same until you get ten or how ever many you want this takes about 20mins a day so not to time consuming if you need any help let me know
