I was in the wild area for an hour before I even went into Motostoke.

i was there for 3, and I left because I couldnt catch anything at my level because I had grinded so fast and lost track of time
Same I thought when I reach motostroke they will all be high leveled I was capturing and training and exploring for over 3 hours
When I reached there they were all level 14 and under while my pokemons are over level 23 so it was all easy lol
I was in the wild area for about 5 hours just doing raids
Seeing accurately-sized Dusknoir chase me down in a murderous rage is something I don't wanna see ever again.

Use the main entrance as your frame of reference. Then look at the map. The tower is on the upper left. The city is in the middle top.
Exactly what i was thinking. I had just started the game and spent the first 2-3 hours running around in the high level area. It was terrifying but mesmerizing as well lmao

For anyone who doesn’t know: Once you get the water bike upgrade after the ice gym, head to outrage lake and go to the curving path to the left once in the lake. There’s rock structures that have evolutionary stones at their base!
Golden Poubelle also every evolution of Eevee shows up there I have gotten Leafeon, Vaporeon, Umbreon, and Espeon and saw Glacieon
It’s also a rock gym it’s a ice gym in shield and rock gym in sword

Would be a lot better if the render distance wasn't hot garbage.
Zac PS Most people are bothered by the Dex cut more than anything. The low res texture highlighted the lies the devs made about cutting pokemons because “upgraded models and animations...bla bla bla... quality over quantity...” Techwise, it’s the same game, just like the handheld version, even with better hardware. Games like Fire Emblems Three Houses actually make use of the Switch’s hardware for a much bigger technical jump than the 3DS era.
Pokemon fans aren’t very picky about what the Pokemon Company threw at them every year. Most of them are either kids or people who play Pokemon for 20 years. People complain and buy the game anyway. There’s literally no competition to Pokemon.

I’d recommend getting a Nickit with the ability Run Away early on, so even if a strong looking pokemon catches up to you you can always escape the fight.
Or just have your Pokémon hold a pokedoll

Honestly, this might be my favorite pokemon game. I was very nervous about it because of all of the controversy around it but I absolutely love the games. They're easily the best games so far. I also like how long the game is, especially when you have the massive wild area to explore. I've probably played for 20 hours already (I know, I have no life) and I'm only about to do the fourth gym.

I thought buying this game will be boring and not fun but I felt really positive about this game despite being called a disappointing game by other people
Bruh I remember when I first got my switch. Literally sometime in 2019 at 12 am my 2nd oldest bro was like "hey let's get a switch" so me, my mom and my 2 brothers go to Walmart at 12 am, I got let's go pikachu they got smash. Then I got sword and shield for Christmas and that was the best present ever because I don't regret it at all

Earlier tonight I failed a catch with 3 great balls and 1 ultra ball, nothing past one shake...grew tired of wasting my good balls and the threw a normal one, caught the fucker on first try....I saved and turned it off for the night...I feel like they ruined the catch rate for certain balls that some of us have been used to since the red, blue and yellow days

Basically the reason I ended up with a yamper as my strongest Pokemon. Little pup was like 7-8 levels ahead of the rest of my team before I stopped giving him candy. He eventually took down at least one of the champions Pokemon... After being a staple in all my gym battles

Honestly the wild area and raid battles are the best addition ever to pokemon. You get caught up in them pretty quickly. I almost forgot to begin the gym challenge
12 hours in, just got my first badge because I spent so. much. time. in the wild area. Worth every minute, love it.
Pro tip, Noctowls give out quite a lot of XP when battling them on route 3(?) so they’re pretty good for levelling up before gyms battles!
Tip: Turn on your internet, and other players will walk around. If you talk to them, sometimes they will give you curry ingredients or stardust and pearls

I beat a lvl 28 Haunter with my lvl 14 Zigzagoon, because it's part dark-type and immune to ghost moves. Hopefully I can finally get a Gengar after years of not knowing anyone I could trade with.
I actually found a Gengar roaming in the wild area but level 60 I couldn't take it on just yet.

The bit about berry trees isn’t quite right. When it starts shaking rapidly, you can shake it one last time before you get an encounter.
Yes but i think it might still trigger a battle. So its luck by that point.
I do the last extra shake every time and never get encounters. The only time I get unintended tree encounters is when I’m not paying attention and shake the tree after that.
@@hollyhartwick3832 It's rare but it can in fact happen on the second try. Happen a few times to me. I even got attacked on my 2nd shake at least 2 or 3 times.
I bought Pokemon Shield last week, I have 14 hours playing time and even attempted the first gym yet. First pokemon I've played since Ruby and Im living for it

I got all of my Pokémon to level 40 on the first day of owning the game thanks to your video on how to always get max raid battles with wishing piece
The wild area is probably the best part of the game, I've spent 90% of my playthrough there powerleveling and catching stuff, the weather determines what spawns too
Also I accidentally overleveled my starter to 42 and I'm only on the 4th gym 😬

Also if you interact with other players in the wild area that are just standing there, they could give you ingredients for curry making or other items like pearls

My favorite is when I was at the dragon gym challenge, and like the two people next to each other were the same model. I just chalked it up to twins. And I don't even care about enemy teams repeating at this point

I think they're in the mid difficulty area, (before the area you can find Rhyhorn) durring daytime with no weather. Not sure though.
just wanna say, u can shake the berrytree 2 times when it shakes fast, the 3rd would be encounter
ur only unlucky if it shakes fast at 1st time shakin the tree, there can come an encounter at the 2nd tree shake
Got an idea for a Pokémon game.
It’s a game that takes place when all of the regions have been discovered.
It’s a game were you can go to all regions and play through all separate storylines after becoming the champion of the past region.
You can keep your Pokémon or have a fresh start.
The Pokémon will be in the box if they aren’t on your team.

I keep trying to trigger the Heavy Fog and Overcast weather, but I can NEVER get Overcast in the right area, and I haven't even seen Fog on the entire world map yet.
Banakori what for? It was one of my first party members from the wild area. It was a giga battle tho.
Reset your date on your switch settings to change the weather.
U unlock fog weather at 8th gym or post game it's one of the two

My favourite encounter was a level 60 gengar that didnt let me run so i had to use a doll. I was like oh sweet maybe its like lvl35. nope, got wrecked

I miss the berry planting from gen 3 and 4
I remember I went to crown tundra as soon as I could, did like three dynamax adventures, got 3 lvl 70 Pokémon, and did almost the whole crown tundra story, all before my first gym.
Whenever i enter the wild area, the camera is zoomed in on my character and wont let me rotate the camera. How do i fix this? Help!

A good tip, there is a lake next to the dragon stadium in the wild area there's a lake, and I found 8 dittos in the same 30 minutes and caught 5 im not joking

Honestly this game is way better than I thought. I spent way too long in this wild area and the raid battles are just a beauty. Really really great. I was bummed that they took mega evo’s away but this makes up for it... in a way

It's a an actual strat. People dont evolve pkmn to get them to level up faster and sometimes get moves you wouldn't get
