    Hi I am wondering if I can just drop in the Repetir Furmware that you have included in your video link, using the XYZ software upgrade trick and be good to go. And also wounding what this black bar on LCD problem is. Also how much recalibration will be needed.

    I can't get this to work. Is there anything different you did to the source code that I need to do? All the LCD Shows is two black bars.

    I'm having problems. I have the two bars across the lcd panel. I have done the jp1 bridge to erase the current firmware, but I can't seem to get the arduino due to connect. I must be missing something. Please help.

      please watch and follow this video
      th-cam.com/video/sU5G0EX_Q08/w-d-xo.html
      you can use this for the repetier firmware of the stock davinci

      The Pit thanks for the quick reply. Basically I've got the two black bars on my screen. I did the jp1 erase method, but now when I get to the IDE serial monitor, there is no connection to the COM. Bossa was showing my COM#, but no connection. IDE shows correct COM and am even able to upload the LED on/off command, but as soon as I do, the COM disappears and won't give option for serial monitor. I'm afraid that I screwed something up. Please help. Uninstalling and reinstalling bossa/samba drivers now.

      UPDATE: ok, got the serial monitor to come up, but there is still no connection, just a blank window, not showing "wait wait wait..." like the video. Changing to 1200 baud does nothing.

    Black lines across the printer screen, arduino says "SAM BA FAILED" when I try to upload. Does it matter if it's arduino due programmiing port or arduino due usb port?

    When I compile the programm i have an error that says: 'SPCR' was not declared in this scope
    SPCR &= ~_BV(SPIE);
    'SPIE' was not declared in this scope
    SPCR &= ~_BV(SPIE);
    Can Anybody help me?

    Forgot to replace that variant file, also changed it to arduino due usb, now it made a long beeping noise and there's random symbols on the display.

    Very interesting, I will probably try to do this if the default software gets on my nerves. Out of curiosity, does it matter what circuit jumper you use to reset the board, or are they all the same?

  • @mrdanker6756
    @mrdanker6756 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Success, switched programmer to "USB TinyISP"

    My board doesn't have jumper pins. I now have it with black bars on the lcd, but my comp still recognizes it as Bossa. Any tips on where to go from here?

    • @ThePitProductions
      @ThePitProductions  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes,
      Use the bossa command line tool to flash either a modded firmware hex or stock firmware. watch this if you have not and see if it helps, and check out the forums linked in my comments.

    Hi, I did this mod and it works great only thing is slic3r it wants to use 8057 mm of filament on one little brick even though I have it set to 1% infill I have my infills set as honey comb and rectilinear. What setting do I need to change? Thank You

    • @Thezombustersteam
      @Thezombustersteam 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      TheZombustersTeam Turns out I had solid infill set for every layer in slic3r

    Ho Eric,
    New boards don't even have the pins so you have to use a tweezers on the pads.
    but yeah any jumper.

    Restored the original davinci program, now it's got black lines across the screen for a second every time it turns on, the heating bed can't move up (does go down) and the heating bed won't heat. The extruder finally started heating but doesn't go past 150C. DO NOT TRY WITH NEWER MODEL! Newer model is DaVinci 1.0A and will say on your printer screen, also the sd card will be a micro sd and the circuit board is blue instead of green. There are more sensors and different connections so the firmwares won't work. Nobody seems to supply the original 1.0a firmware v.v

    • @ThePitProductions
      @ThePitProductions  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      IndaLight Have you searched the voltivo forums for an answer on this issue?

    • @mrdanker6756
      @mrdanker6756 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +indaLight I found the solution to get it on repetier. You have to make sure it's the latest firmware package (delete all the ones you have and download the one that supports 1.0a)
      then make sure you follow every step. My problem in getting repetier on was i replaced the arduino files with files from anold repetier package (forgot about them afterwards), then kept trying to use the new package to upload everything. I failed to remember that i needed to replace those files again with the new package's files.

    ok i could really use some help here. i have got the firmware flashed over but i missed something somewhere. the repeiter host connects to the printer but nothing functions the way it should. any time i try to home an axis the extruder moves out to the front left corner and doesnt want to stop i have to shut it down. this is true with both the host software and the printer controls in the firmware. the display is doing some interesting things to. there are sometimes it does not work, after resetting several times and getting a bunch of scrambled letters and symbols it will bring up the display. even when the display isnt working it will connect to repeiter host and do whatever it is that it does. can someone please help out with this im a little lost.

      What firmware did you actually use??

    • @charles19791000
      @charles19791000 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      repetier-0.91-alpha-davinci10.bin from the dav10-master.zip. i have flashed back to xyz, but flashed the firmware back J. i also got software v-1.1.30 and bought the resetter. the printer and software have no connection to the internet. the problem now is that i get random errors that seem to fix themselves if you restart the print or if you restart the printer, if that is needed.nothing seems to stick to the bed but it looks as if the head is a good ways from the bed while printing.(looks more like it is laying down the filament instead of applying the filament)if that makes sense. i have calibrated the bed over and over and can get it to pass but it still dosent print right. any ideas?

    Nope, I took the source from his github and uploaded it after installing the sam-ba drivers. It was pretty straight forward.

      You said you made some changes to the code in the video, but I'll try uploading it again.

    • @ThePitProductions
      @ThePitProductions  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I did do a few minor changes, but they were minor or tests more than anything.
      I think the key step I did not show all the way was replacing the variant file in the ardruino IDE. I will also assume you got the source from the github?
      I believe Kieth on the forums has a working .bin file that can be uploaded via the command prompt, We will work on getting it available tonight or tomorrow. We may not have it PERFECT, but already I can see a HUGE difference in first layer fill and bead adhesion.

      @shibbleswentworth 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      find the J1 pins in the back and connect them with a jumper or metal, turn power on, off, unconnect them, turn power on, should see new drivers installed and device called bossa program port (COM#)

      @ThePitProductions  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, If you find this helpful please like, share, and or subscribe.
      On my system it is
      C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino\hardware\arduino\sam\variants\arduino_due_x
      It is shown on the github page
      github.com/bgm370/dav10
      I will also be trying to get a video out for a easier way to do this upgrade using the xyzware software when the printer is still stock.

      thecopterguy I would suggest you upload the precompiled version using the bossa programming tool. And then decide if you need to compile your own or not. Are you using Mac or PC?
