Hi Mr mazelee I would like you guys to come to kenya next time to mombasa ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Have you ever seen a positive mum? This lady is positive and shares positivity to her children..Wow
Yes, there are others!
The Schoeller Family is pretty positive as well.
She’s so good, Amazing, beautiful and so creative. Also both parents have teach trained their children so nicely 😊🥰
❤❤❤❤❤
She reminds me of my sister, THERE ARE SO MANY SIMILARITIES❤😂
I don’t see any problem with her saying Africa this woman is intelligent enough to know that Africa is not a country and I love how she even differentiated the east and the west how many Americans know or care to know which countries are in the east west south or north of Africa… she very well knows she is going to Uganda so her saying Africa is okay and I’m loving the fact that even though we are in Africa we learnt a few things about Uganda that we didn’t know so big up to you Alena❤
She already mentioned earlier if they were listening that she was did a poll online whether to visit Kenya, Uganda or Tanzania all of them in Africa.
She went to South Korea but didn't say Asia
But no see why ppl make fuss ever say same thing
@@stellafinsky9467so she vist Africa and ?
Yes Dr. Mazelee knows Africa is not a country 😊
Boy boy grow fast,I really admire this family so much.Alena has a supportive husband who is always down to earth.
Everybody wants things frm Africa😢😢😢The truth hurts 😢😢😢
Thank you, Mazelee family for visiting the Pearl of Africa 🇺🇬. Love from Uganda.
Not Today Satan 😂❤😂❤!!!My motto every day !!!!
So you don't wear crop tops and pants in Uganda? I'm South African by the way
@@yolandaninise3472Ofcourse we were everything including shorts
@@yolandaninise3472 In Uganda we wear crop tops and pants although it depends in the environment you are in at that particular moment.
Hope to visit Uganda one day
I feel like unless you’re traveling to multiple places in Africa just say the country 😭 When I say Europe trip , it means traveling to multiple countries in Europe not just Spain. We’re so used to calling it Africa instead of acknowledging the country
It those not matter teacher
Please
WE have to believe that Africa IS one country. Because it is the goal to became the UNITED STATE OF AFRICA.
This is the problem with most of the Americans.
They mostly mention Africa as if it's a country.🤔
Her being a Doctor in Mathematics/Arthmetics should at least also be able to know these minor geographical knowledge.
Misinformation is also misleading to her children.
@@apohah2227Until then, just take time to educate yourself.
Life doesn't revolve just around USA.
Not everything is about US🙄.
I felt those tears in the beginning, my dad took us (siblings) back to Jamaica for the first time since we were younger. We didn’t realize how connected and how attached we were to a place we were never born. Our family remembered us and embraced us so much. we felt right and it felt like we were supposed to be there. Leaving was hard. Our grown selves cried like babies you hear me 😭
I had an opportunity to do mission work in Uganda on three separate occasions and it truly was a blessing so I get it I pray you get another opportunity with your family to explore you kind of more and enjoy more time there thank you for sharing.
I'm in my fifths and I still cry go and coming back from Jamaica the land of my birth 😭😭😭😭😭😭🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲💯💯💯💯💯.❤❤❤❤😭😭😭😭😭😭 still crying now so home sick 😭😭😭🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲.
One love ❤❤❤ 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 jamrock.
The older kids are so grown and beautiful. Great Job Mama and Appa!
Thanks for visiting our uganda 🇺🇬,UG is not poor,we may be with greedy government but uganda as a country we are rich but those who are in power they want to satisfy them self but not the people and thanks for teaching the kids that Africa is not poor 😊❤
Uganda is a beautiful country
That is every country. None of the leaders are for the people.
Alena, saying “we’re going to Africa”, is like saying I’m going to Europe or Asia. We’re 40 minuets into this video and for the first time you’er naming a country: Uganda. This the hot messiest I’ve ever seen you. I grew up a military brat and we traveled to new duty stations frequently. Investing before going is a wise idea. Did you have to get any vaccinations for the trip?
@@karinajas no you dont understand, its even worse in some places in africa, like Nigeria. The government is sooo greedy and corrupt and they dont do anything to improve leaving the citizens hopeless for better change
34:27 it’s the baby dancing she’s your hype man in the back😂😂😂😂
Amyah looks so grown up. College has really refined her. Keep up the good work.
That was so backhanded. She was always a wonderful young lady and didn't need to be "refined" as if her natural being is an issue.
@@lynniepooh9501 you see it as backhanded because of how you perceived what I commented. They have a beautiful family. I adore all of them! I said what I said because she is not a little girl anymore. Her features have changed. As we all did as we aged. She will keep being refined as long as God graces her to be here. Those are some beautiful kids! ALL OF THEM! I meant nothing NOTHING negative about what I said! AND I MEANT WHAT I SAID!
Watching from Uganda 🇺🇬 . Been waiting for this for so long

Finally

Awwwww, Im Ugandan living in Norway❤
So happy you visited my country. I miss home home daily. Yeeey, we won 🇺🇬
Heyy hru u guys i just want to encorage you to keep your walk with Christ going, keep on seeking him its so worth it! Your doing great!
Amen!
Yes grow closer to the Lord because we need him in every area of our lives. Continue to teach your children about Christ because there are so many ungodly temptations that are ready to confuse them and lead them down the wrong path. God bless you and your family.
That is one of your strengths to me...your commitment to God and teaching the children on the way they should go❤❤❤❤
Ajedi thinking that Africa is the poorest place is so sad but i’m glad they went and learnt about the wealth that Africa possesses unfortunately it is exploited by the world powers 8:18
I got chills hearing Mommy explain to the children that Africa is the richest continent on Earth. If mineral wealth, oil and other natural resources were monetized into dollars and all the raw materials that are extracted to manufacture products sold on thr market and if the people of Africa could ever reap the benefits of what belongs to them. We would see a different Africa..
Yes China!
@sandrabentley8111 US, UK, etc. did the most damage. China is a late comer to the continent's exploitation party.
When I was his age I thought the same because the way TV have shown how Africa is
Hati Is still being sold out 😅 ❤🎉 one day these places will be free
I feel you Alena I too was sad when I got back to the states from Uganda last year - it was so lovely visiting there and the safari was GREAT!!! Love me some Uganda!!!❤❤
We love you too you're welcome to Uganda any time
That part where u was counting numbers in luganda made me smile all the way…the effort u put in at least to speak some words is heart melting
My daughter is 18, when she was 10 I took her to Senegal for 3 weeks. It was the most amazing experience I could give her. She got to see our people in a positive light. It was so important to circumvent the negative information and stereotypes she was receiving here in the USA. She got to experience it for herself. I’m so happy your children got to live this adventure. Amazing!!!
SENEGAL IS VERY VERY TOURISTIC ... FRENCH PEOPLE LOVE THAT COUNTRY
Excellent Amayah. Being a RA means alot and it help financially. Continue to make your parents proud. Continue working hard at keeping excellent grades. ❤
What does it mean to be an RA?
RA is short for Residential Assistant. A job on campus as a leader, helper and resource person for students.

UGANDA 🇺🇬 the fact that i have been your follower since you had the 6th kid 🥹 am humbled this is like a give back to me ❤
I love you’ll expression in a real life situation. I loved how Mom calmly close the Bible, but watch how Dad responded with the torn pages 😂 that was everything! that says a lot! The others babies where like what happen 😂 you both still remain calm! You’ll are a representation of God’s abiding Peace! Peace is what I receive from this clip on today 🙌🏾Dad really restored that page of the Bible through!🩷Blessings Family always having God’s Peace throughout our lives🥰
Yes Uganda is a very beautiful country I too was crying leaving my motherland aka the pearl of Africa to come back to America 🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬
Africa is definitely not poor!!!
The world doesn't show or speak about anything other than the poor part of Africa. I'm definitely proud of her for this trip❤❤❤
Yes many do know that's why she corrected her son. Sadly schools fail to educate but when they do they speak more about certain areas, documentaries on TV also don't help and TH-cam like his mom said
Africa has endless resources for trade but not as good infrastructure.
We have a poor government that has no brain to think about the future.only brain they have is to think of corruption.
Thanks so much, mazeele family, for visiting Africa uganda 🇺🇬" The pearl of Africa". We love you guys. I love watching your videos 🥰
Long live my country UG
This is sooo neat to watch!! 😍
When we were getting ready to migrate to The Pearl of Africa a year ago from the U.S. with our family of 7, without knowing anyone here, we were told by our family members "why are you going back to Africa, a continent where everyone wants to leave?"
It was definitely not easy with 5 kids, 5 years old and under... But we did it, and one year later are thriving, despite many setbacks and learning curves 😊
Baby girl's hair has grown so much, its beautiful....i missed you guys❤
Africa is everything you will get to experience the mother nature in africa especially on the eastern sidre of africa so proud
Actually, every part of Africa is beautiful 😊😊❤
I'm only 30seconds in and I'm not gonna lie, I totally understand Alena and why she's crying. My mom who's from Houston TX originally, married my dad from Cameroon in West Africa. She literally moved there when they got married and she never moved back. So we were raised as American kids (I did my SATs and everything) in Africa. As an adult today, I'm super happy I was not raised in the US. There is a certain peace you have growing up in Africa and my mom felt this peace too and still does not want to give it up...I get you Alena 🥺
Also, I'm VERY happy you chose Uganda over Egypt for very obvious reasonssss.........you chose an authentic African experience over a super touristy one - really happy for you and your family - Egypt would have been insane and not relaxing at all. And, how cool was it to go to a country where everyone looks like you?
That’s beautiful. What is the peace that you feel? Do you think the peace is linked to the land because of your ancestral connection?
What, which Cameroon is in west Africa? Smh
@@san.8930😅
Cameroon: central Africa ☺️
Peace. I was in Kenya for about 9 days. It felt so peaceful. I did get sick 2 days in, but that lasted a minute. I was feeling things spiritually that made me cry as if I made it home. I saw a lot of familiar faces, too. All the "faces" were not from the same place either.😊
A child thinking Africa is poor, he must have seen those charity videos that are constantly on tv. Not that it is wrong, but that's all they may know. It's not their fault. But an adult saying that, is bordering on ignorance. In 2005, i was asked by one of my East European colleagues in Uk if there were any proper houses in Uganda or we all still lived in grass thatched houses. I politely explained and referred her to google. But it made me wonder why in Uganda European History was part of our school Curriculum.
Im not gonna lie, it kind of saddened me that most of these kids all had such a negative connotation about Africa in general (in the beginning). They are so well informed about their Korean roots, but based on some of their comments, it made me question how in tune they were with their other roots. If i was told i was going to country in Africa as a kid I would've been ecstatic to go to the motherland.
It saddened me too. Africa is wonderful. That's why some of us are still here.
I agree
Yup! They’ve always been so focused on teaching them about their Korean side!
Sadly this is the truth for many other kids, they believe lies about Africa..
As someone who comes from and has lived in Africa her whole life, but also been exposed to African American culture through media and books, I'd say it's important for African American people who have an interest in Africa to really take the time to educate themselves about the continent... It's not enough to speak of the motherland if you don't even know how diverse it is, some of its history and how things are going on the continent now... Unfortunately, a lot of Americans have this idea that Africa is just a rural land in which people are just poor and live in mud huts among animals, but it takes a quick Google search to learn that that's not the case. Our continent is beautiful, rich in culture, language, nature, agriculture, etc... We have beautiful people, fashion, cities, villages, sights for daaayyysss in every single country you can visit. Please, those who are interested, take the time to learn all this and maybe pass it on to someone else who's interested too❤️✨
That being said, I love that Alena and Jo have taken their family to Uganda, and I love even more that the kids warmed up to the trip as the vlog progressed. This is a beautiful pre-travel vlog and it's a great way for the family to learn about Africa👌🏽✨
This family warms my heart. I like how you were taking out time to learn luganda and prepare as a family. Great team spirit💪. Alena, great work with the family... Blessings to all

It’s been a while since I’ve seen an episode. You are prettier than ever. Love your mini fro. Your eldest child is so beautiful she is so the best of you mom. Articulate and intelligent and simply radiates your heart in her smile. Omg wonderful mom.

I’m Ugandan, lived there for 11 years from primary and high school and even I was shocked you chose Uganda. It’s actually an awesome place for tourists but we often don’t get that lime light.
Been a silent follower, am amazed at how the geography on the otherside reads. Despite the negativity we love to welcome you and get your perspective changed for the better.
Btw, Kenya has the most and best runners. We love our sister country Uganda, and we are here for it all.
MAZELEE she goes by….AMAZE🤸🏼
I've been to Kenya and it has the most beautiful people there. I loved it.
But i wouldn't day they have the best coz its a very stiff competition btn Uganda Kenya and Ethiopia so
Not Joe saying oyokya (you're hot) instead of oli otya (how are you)... Got me cracking 😂😂😂. I am from another ethinic group in Uganda (Iteso) but grow up in the central and Luganda is the go for language for our guests. I'll be enjoying every bit of these series and wow! Alena you cried😭😭😭.

I love this family with a passion. They are real. Its great you are visiting mother Africa. Its a rich, natural and lovely continent. You will find that Africans are generally friendly. Not poor as your little boy thinks. I pray he will have an opportunity to interact with other kids in Uganda. Enjoy every moment of it because I know you and your husband will love to retire there when the children will be grown ups and make their own choices. May the Lord protect you and may he make this trip a memorable event in your life.

Hey beautiful family.
I loved it when you were learning Luganda, you were amazing.
Thank you for choosing Uganda ❤
I’m glad you and your family went to Uganda. I hope you all had a lot of fun!
Looking forward to the upcoming videos filled with adventures.
Just some things to note: People wear casual clothes that yes do not reveal but are also a bit accommodating to the weather so shorts would have still been fine to wear as long as they’re not booty shorts. (I am Nigerian and usually girls can wear knickers too).
Not everyone has to shave their hair. It’s mostly school children as you said but girls are free to at least braid it or keep it low cut.
Wow u r so good at everything u do . That is a perfect haircut👏
Thank you so much mazelee family for choosing uganda my mother land ,you will never regret and I've been your follower from beginning safe journey.

Thanks for loving my country Uganda
Omg... those children are so articulate and intelligent. God bless ur Family!!!!❤❤❤
Mazeela, I’m glad you are taking your family to Uganda for them to discover where you originally come from. They need to connect with their African roots. Yes, it’s not developed like Korea but it’s got its own beauty, tradition and culture they need to find out and be familiar with.
I took my children to Abidjan (Ivory Coast) for the first time this April 2024. They were initially scared but at the same time excited. However, when we went, they loved it so much they didn’t want to come back.
Love the mazalee family
Safe trip for the Families and enjoy Africa - Ugandan with Alena families 👌👍💙💙💙💗💗💗💗💗💗💗✈️
Shalom thanks for sharing this I cried at the begining of this video because I feel the same way, I went to burry my Dad on the 13.04.24 and had to return 25. 04.24,it was very short and very emotional for me. But Uganda has that homely feeling for most people that have visited that I know of. My Au-pair family actually moved to Uganda during their retirement and they ain't about to return to Germany. Anyways I plan on returning home to Uganda just waiting on the Lord's answer so pray about it and God will give you peace about where ever you decide to live, weather states of Uganda. My son enjoyed the weather, sitting infront of the car and the best was he enjoyed my large family and Boda Bodas he still misses and talks to everybody about. Shalom from Stuttgart Germany
