People don’t realize how huge Korn were at the turn of the century. Coming off their legendary Woodstock performance they were making high-end music videos and topping the TRL charts on MTV every day. It was crazy seeing them mainstream and ahead of *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears.
@@iU9LY no you’d be surprised. People think kanye was more influential than Nirvana. Let that sink in. Ya kanye is influential but he did not change music and he did not inspire a movement of culture whatsoever like Nirvana and then korn basically killed Nirvana and grunge type music and made their sound the most popular genre of music
@@kellyhouse4263 fuck ya, I had broken leg, just came out of surgery getting a metal plate, 13 screws to hold my ankle and shattered fibula together, and I was out of my wheelchair the entire set 😂
I have to say when they came out and I started to listen to them, their stuff connected so well! I had suicidal depression for most of my life and they were one of the bands who helped me just by singing! Them Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park and others saved me!
They are doing a show next june in Holland near where i live and i cant wait to see them live, im 36 now and been listening to these dudes since i was 13
I actually was living this song when it first came out. Yes, it's about abuse. Korn replaced Nirvana for us. I'm thankful 🙏 to my friends who were always there at night to rescue us
I read Head’s, (Brian Welch) book “Save Me From Myself” when I was getting sober. It helped me tremendously. “Issues” was my first CD when I was a teenager. Korn has had a massive impact on my life.

Y'all really need to check out Archspire either Golden mouth of ruin or Bleed the future. It's epic technical death metal but the vocals are similar to Techn9ne

Holy shit.... I didn't know that Falling Away From Me is an actual continuation of Freak On A Leash! Or maybe i just forgot. God damn.... I know both of these songs. How come i don't know.... Oh well. Every day is a fucking a school day, right. And i'm getting old, ok. Leave me alone! 🤣🤣 Also Korn's singer was sexually abused as a child so that's where some of these songs come from. And Deja Vu is an interesting phenomenon. There is some science behind it but it's very shallow at best. Been having them a lot since i was a kid and testing my theories. It lasts only a few seconds but in that time you can see and feel what happens before it does. And it's random. No clue what triggers it. But the capability of our brains is beyond what we've learned so far. Considering my hobby is researching the quantum mechanics and quantum physics, things start to make sense. To me at least. It's an interesting read though if you're interested in researching this stuff yourself.
Korn - hater it's about bullies. I got to meet a few of them as I live in Bakersfield their hometown I met the singer in front of Chuck e cheese with his family he was so kind and took time to talk with me I was in hs I thanked him and the band for helping get through stuff.
You guys gotta check out A.D.I.D.A.S by Korn, All In The Family by Korn and Limp Bizkit, Children of the Korn by Korn and Ice Cube, Shoots and Ladders, Ball-Tongue, Twist.... They have so many great songs! The song with them and Limp Bizkit is nothing you would expect but something you would appreciate.

they literally created nu-metal i think everyone knows how huge they were.
They had to start retiring videos on TRL because Korn was on there so long 😂

Love Korn! Seen them 6 times in concert. They are top tier live!
Slaughterhouse has a song called Hammerdance and they use the intro riff from this song on the beat.

The musical term you were grasping for I believe is interpolation.

My best friend was obsessed with Korn back in the day. I found them alright. Not amazing, just my opinion though.
