Wow that’s crazy! I like to believe people at face value so I’m gonna believe it’s true. I guess depending on who’s training you and how they’ve been affected will change their approach when it comes to training. I think that’s a terrific way to show someone the horrors of war from a relationship standpoint. I think it’s important that people get to see all the horror emotionally, physically and mentally. They make enlisting look so fun and exciting and beneficial on TV ads. I think it should be criminal to advertise like that. Stop tempting vulnerable kids into the military. Especially when there are plenty of young people that want to do it and know the ramifications
Mo, girl. I was absolutely convinced you were younger than me before you said your age. I’m 31 and look young for my age; your 33 and literally look like you could be 21 easily! 😮 I love you guys, you remind me of and my fiancé so much 😂 This is one of my top 3 artists of all time and I love you both for giving this album it the respect it deserves 😘🥰❤️
I Never Told You What I Do for a Living is one of the best finishing tracks of all time.... absolutely gut wrenching....they poured everything they could into that
Okay so this is the actual story: They’re both shot at the end of the first album. This album, he finds out she survived but he died and is in hell. The devil tells him he will be brought back to earth with her if he takes the lives of 1000 evil men and the devil gives him a gun. The album is him going through this journey. For example, To The End is where he kills a load of people at a party and is saying that they’re all immoral people so it’s okay that he’s killed them. the songs are explained if you search on google, i think there’s a good reddit post explaining each song. in the last song he realises that the final evil man he has to kill is himself and so they decide to both die and be together. Helena and I’m Not Okay are not part of the album lore, they’re separate songs story wise. Also, The Jetset Life is Gonna Kill you is literally just about the singer’s drug addiction so also not part of the story.
I’d argue you can rope jetset life into the store because he mentions they “shot me full of ephedrine” in Give ‘Em Hell Kid, maybe it can be taken both ways 🤷
I have heard this album front to back damn near 100 something times and never grasped that the whole thing was a concept story. Never really dug into the Lore that is MCR, but they were a big part of my life and im glad I got to see them in concert cause that show was phenomenal! Best memory, They were singing their song "cancer" and me and a friend were laughing about something unrelated and this lady turned around and snapped on me yelling, "You've obviously never had someone die from cancer before!" I was like daaaaamn, lol
Helena is THE song/video that got me into punk/emo/rock anything. Was watching randomized videos way back in the day on Yahoo new music videos... (yep, that was a thing..) and came across this and was at first was hesitant to watch.. my ears loved it, but I was in junior high and hadn't really heard anything like it before.. I grew up on pop (BSB/NSYNC/Britney, etc) so I felt weird if my parents caught me watching it on our shared computer.. but then I kept going back to it and watched the whole thing and down the rabbit hole i went...
I still listen to this album from start to finish to this day! I never knew there was a concept/story lol. The Ghost Of You is in my top 3 favorite songs of all time. The other 2 are always changing.
This is my favourite album by MCR, and my favourite album of all times ! Awesome video, and it's really great that you guys don't just listen to the songs but look into the lyrics and try to understand them and draw your own conclusions.
Hey guys, plz check it out the last album (2022 standard/2023 deluxe) by Hollywood Undead, called "Hotel Kalifornia", It's a pretty eclectic, fun, energetic and nostalgic album, a tribute to those who lived the music of early 2000s.
@arthuralmeida9977 I definitely think they have to check, this record it's easily band's top 3 albums, but there was no good promotion! And I suggest they check out the deluxe version, because there's a track with Jelly Roll

Anyway, for those unfamiliar, Hollywood Undead is an Alternative Rap Rock band, with very strong influence from old school west coast rap, but they have many other influences of rock, metal, punk, pop, country, EDM, they are very eclectic, which makes their music a little unpredictable, what makes them different and unique! In addition, they have 5 vocalists who take turns playing the instruments and write their own parts each.
Flawd, I legit just dumped my queue when I saw you dropped this. I haven't watched yet, but I wanted to say right away, if you enjoyed the album, you should listen to MCR's concept album Danger Days. The concept is you're driving through the wastelands of an apocalyptic future listening to the radio. I won't give away any more. To fully appreciate it you really need to listen to it cover to cover in one sitting. While selling singles gives us better hits without the filler to make a full album, it sucks that concept albums have mostly gone away.
What an album, Honestly one of the best ive ever witnessed, but the black parade album is indescribable with how amazing it is, witnessing it live was probably my top 3 live performances ever! ❤ w reaction as always!
Gerard Way, the lead singer has a comic book series called Umbrella Academy which has been adapted into a tv series recently, he's also currently writing Doom Patrol for DC Comics

The Black Parade by MCR next! Both of those albums are GOATS. Black Parade is like this but more refined and polish whereas this is more raw.
