- 「４１２」My game froze for a moment there. Really nothing particularly remarkable about this run, with the exception being a relatively quickly attained mount which makes the most difference. Slightly better AI and gameplay (less hits on the chest) can get it down as 5'45~. Wing tech claggers makes this grind quite arduous, as you'll have to reset even on a godlike Alatreon if you haven't built up any mount damage before it flies.

why does he grapple at the wing than just drops?
Most of the time he squeezes in an axe attack. The one time he didn’t allowed him to delay mounting until Alatreon was flying.
I sorta miss the days of spamming SAED on CB. But I'm glad there are now more options for a full vialed CB.

What did he do for deal dmg and keep mounting????
He broke the horns with the mount-ending attack, so instead of falling to the ground, Alatreon staggered and snarled. This kind of thing lets the mount continue for a small while.

Why do a lot of speedrunners grab for the monster when its tired and then just jump off it immediately?
Tenderizing isnt necessary on this run, so its better to grab the monster so it stays still and do your attacks
to extend stagger state and do more dps
If you hit the claw during the clagger animation, it resets the timer for the clagger, so you can deal more damage to it instead of using a mediocre claw attack. The strats differs depending on the weapon, playstyle and the monster. Some weapons like bow and IG have good claw attacks and you have fast ways for attacking after the claw attack, while most weapons are mostly meh
For this specific strat, he claws the wings which give him enough time to be able to do a landing axe morph attack, which not only deal a lot of damage, but also deal mounting damage, which he can proc whenever Alatreon is in the air, forcing him to fall down after the mount since you can't use the usual forcedown strats on TA runs (smoke bombs, flashes and the like)
When you grab the monster, it stays staggered longer, so people use this chance to attack him some more
