  • In this episode we mock-up and test the steering. We bolt in the steering box. Install our drag like and cross steer shaft with our original early style tie rod ends. We even decided to try out a steering stabiliser and create and small mount that looks like it shock be there. Attaching the steering wheel and moving it side to side gives you a small bit of gratification knowing you’re a step closer.

    With your extreme attention to small details you are no doubt destined to be one of the worlds greatest custom builders...if you're not there already. Well done...again, Jordan.

      Thank you kindly Eric, still a lot to learn and create to get any recognition but it’s been a fun journey to be apart of this wild addiction

    Great job, I love the front end, the single offset fog light, the crossmember, headlight bracket and the British Columbia plate makes it all look great. I really like the way you don't want it to look like an afterthought and take the time to make it look like Henry Ford made it in 1932. Look forward to the next video.

      Yes! Everything about the car puts a smile on my face. I love the practical approach rather than being over engineered.

    There wont be much flex in the cross shaft and drag link now, looks good Jordan. The needle scaler does a good job aging items, the BC plate looks old on the screen... very handy for aging repairs etc. Cheers Greg

    I like your fog light idea better than the badge but wish the cool bracket was just an inch or so shorter…but then I feel silly even suggesting anything to a talented guy like you. That’s gonna be one sweet ride, for sure.

    • @bennettscustomsco
      @bennettscustomsco  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I definitely agree, I had planned on shortening it slightly

    I like the fog light on the front spreader bar. I think it looks better than a horn would.

  • @waynegilling6048
    @waynegilling6048 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Front end looks great. Rear suggestion; shorten the horns about half way to the trunk, use the spreader bar as a mount for you spare tire , hinged let or right so easy access to the trunk.

    • @bennettscustomsco
      @bennettscustomsco  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They will definitely get shortened forsure! No spare tire but a few other ideas 💡

    Hey Jordan, Love your attention to detail & the tricks to get the aged look.
    The screw up tie rods were on the early Holdens as well, like EH (1964 back) I just cannot remember if they were threaded on like the one's you have...... Keep up the good work. Cheers from Northern NSW 😃👍

    Adding the plate and rivets has made a dull bracket into a finished piece. If you have a 36 wishbone, what year is the axle?. Thanks Jordan, another quality film.

    • @bennettscustomsco

    I wonder if the needle scaler has the same effect as shot blasting?

    • @bennettscustomsco
      @bennettscustomsco  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the use of both would be the perfect receipt

      It's made for getting slag off the the difficult low hydrogen welds. Or any slag from welds in general, and of course scale. We just knew it as a needle gun.
