9fingers but it was no Spaceballs and on a floppy disk. but a similar theme. I'm sorry for english but google it explains. and remember somebody State of the art?
It was nice but I liked the demo of cocoon better. I only gave it a four out of five at revision due, because I felt that it had an overreliance of effects and "flashiness".
Since modern gaming rigs have gotten powerful to the point of excess, is the point of demoscene limited to merely artistic presentation? How much do the old values of efficiency and resourcefullness play in the modern demoscene?
+XerrolAvengerII As resources have become abundant on consumer hardware, priorities have understandably shifted from pure efficiency towards novel ways of utilizing said resources: rendering pipeline innovations, using techniques thought to be very slow for efficient use (SPH, raytracing, etc.), and so on. This is especially true for sizecoding, where everything is procedurally generated, so calculations can become extremely heavy. In either case demoscene in general has been moving in pretty much the same direction for quite a while: photorealistic realtime computer graphics. This demo is another significant step forward.
moozooh Yeah some of them are getting really demanding these days. Metamorphs are quite heavy on the hardware too. So rewarding, however, to see them in all their glory without resorting to youtube.
I've seen CHIPHEAD at first. Man, I'm even more impressed by now!
I am getting old, but, you know what...this is probably one of best demo experience since 9 fingers...
Well, this IS 9fingers, v 2.0, imo :)
This is an art.
9fingers but it was no Spaceballs and on a floppy disk. but a similar theme. I'm sorry for english but google it explains. and remember somebody State of the art?

Znam to, kocham demoscenę...
This is acctually a masterpiece. Especially the "Eat Sleep X Repeat" esque social criticism.
i came from the 2600 version of this
Same.
State of the Art of last 5 years of the demoscene.
Amazing expression of artistry through technology.
OMG!! At 03:19 They crashed Farbrausch's "The popular Demo" disco ball !!
Whoop whoop! Congratz Smash, Destop, Hoffman and Ellie!
This is amazing! Demos have come a long way since the days of tunnels and bump maps ;-)
What does the graffiti at 00:20 say? ziphead?
Played like ASS on my HD7850... maybe 8fps with the dancers on the screen. Upgraded to a GTX980 last month ... NICE! XD
Best version so far

dancing figures like 9fingers.
Oldschool rulez
hahaha, you are so right :)
Somewhat flawless rendering kudos for that!
einfach Spitze, Sound super, Grafik extra stark, Erinnerungen an den Amiga....
Platz eins was sonst.
NICE DEMO.
This is so cool! Great music video!
What a trip! Fantastic stuff.
I feel like dancing now. really cool!
0:15 I love the look of those tags!
spiritual successor of state of the art :D
Mind blowing
..and so..good.
Is at the core of somethings, I's gather. Double duh. Duh. Break Duh.
This feels like an hommage to the song Guilt from Nero.
Amiga....realy....mind blown....
I put this on my music playlist... amazing song :D
Where can I find more music composed by Hoffman?
soundcloud.com/h0ffman mostly free downloads too
It was nice but I liked the demo of cocoon better.
I only gave it a four out of five at revision due, because I felt that it had an overreliance of effects and "flashiness".
man, what a tune!
i love the style and coding but the dancer is godawful

moozooh Thanks!
You know, these are the same coments that the original State of the Art faced. :)

"Since modern gaming rigs have gotten powerful to the point of excess"
You must be kidding, right?
There is just one thing missing: a snare.
Otherwise it's near perfect
Wow!!
State of the art times 1000.
Great demo! By the way, is it allowed to use music taken from this demo somewhere on TH-cam?
Holy shit!
fresh, I'd say
SWEEEEET!
It's chiphead but more realistic
This one is cool but for 2015 still Amiga demos are better in creativity... But watching HD demo is nice... thanx Dudes
324 Intel genießt unser Vertrauen !
What's the song name? :O
funnily enough, it's called Ziphead.
hated it. too head bangy and gave me a headache. i loved the other fairlight and cncd demos though. worked well on my 970 though
John Cusick When you buy a 970 for gaming, then realise all new games are shit, so you end up back on pouet like a kid in a candy store XD
+TheVanillatech These days I feel like I'm upgrading my graphics cards mainly for FLT demos. ;_;
moozooh
