I make a frozen blended lemonade with jordans skinny simple syrup and allulose, lemon juice, pinch of salt, water and ice. The allulose is not sweet enough unless i use a ton, but it helps the drink slush without using very much. The syrup sweetens without using much, so its a good combo. Spike the lemonade slush, so good.
I haven’t tried monkfruit yet. I believe it is sweeter than allulose so you would need to use less which is a good thing!I've heard that it has a fruity flavor so it might not work with everything? It's worth trying though! Thanks so much for watching! 😃
I have not tested anything other than allulose, but it's my understanding that only allulose works. I don't understand the science behind it, but it's something to with the chemical makeup of allulose because allulose is chemically a sugar, even though it does not behave like one in the body. In that way it tricks the Slushi into thinking there's real sugar in it so it slushes like normal. I hope that helps and thanks so much for watching! 😃
As far as I know allulose is the only sweetener that will work in the Slushi, but I could be wrong?? Possibly Erythritol because it's similar to Allulose, but I would just have to try it. If I test it, I will update this comment to let you know! Thanks so much for watching! 😃
Good question! So your diet drink already has sweetener in it and then you add the allulose which is another sweetener, so the lemon juice tones down the sweet taste. Otherwise it would be way too sweet if that makes sense? Thanks for asking I should have explained this in the video! 😃
Yes I have made the milkshake using regular sugar! It's really good! I haven’t tried a premix yet, but that's a great idea! Thanks so much for watching! 😃
I have the Margaritaville Bahamas Frozen Concoction Maker and just realized that I don't need it anymore now that I have the Ninja Slushi!! Thanks so much for watching! 😃
Interesting enough, I have been experimenting with Soda Stream syrup. It has half the sugar of normal soda per serving. I found that is works well, but you need to turn the freezing temperature down (warmer) as it makes more of a snowcone consistency and is harder to dispense. Looks very similar to your first test. May be a better way to go for some folks. You could water it down and add allulose for an even lower sugar count and maintain the natural flavor/ taste.
Good question and I should have answered it in the video! The lemon juice tones down the sweetness. Without it, you would have the allulose plus the sweetener already in the drink you are slushing and it would be way too sweet! Thanks so much for asking!! 😃

In that way it tricks the Slushi into thinking there's real sugar in it so it slushes like normal. Others have mentioned wanting to use Monkfruit, but I haven't tried it yet so I can't say for sure but it does specifically say in the Slushi manual that liquids with sugar substitutes will not work. I hope this helps! Thanks so much for watching! 😃
The others subs end up freezing. You need a sub that acts like granulated sugar with the water. Yes, there is a science behind it. You also have to use different settings on the machine. Splenda will on hard freeze when used by itself. I make skinny ice using Jordan Syrups and getting “soft” ice is difficult. Add a bit of Allulose and it works great. Some mixes you have to use a bit of Xanthan Gum to thicken the mixture and the allulose
I wonder how the margarita would do with real lemon and lime juice instead of the mix. Big snob here, hate mixes. But lemons are ridiculously expensive too....
Thank you for sharing these recipes! I just found your channel & love your reviews! Now I’m about to buy one and try to make Keto chow in it and see what happens!😂😂 Love & Light from California 🤍🤍P.S. Allulose is 70:/: sweet as sugar be careful if you are not Used to allulose it can cause tummy issues… I’m about to try monk fruit too🤍

Have you tried monkfruit sweetner? It has the consistency of sugar.
I haven’t tried monkfruit yet. I believe it is sweeter than allulose so you would need to use less which is a good thing!I've heard that it has a fruity flavor so it might not work with everything? It's worth trying though! Thanks so much for watching! 😃
Can any sweetener be used or only Allulose? I will be in the USA soon so will look for this. Thank you!
I believe Monkfruit works, but i haven't tried it. Other sweeteners will not work. Thanks so much for watching! 😃
Does splenda work also? or just allulose? Thanks

@@kstorrer Gotcha. Thank you
Is there an alternate option for Allullose? I'm in Canada and it's not approved for use up here.

Just curious, why do you use lemon juice?
Good question! So your diet drink already has sweetener in it and then you add the allulose which is another sweetener, so the lemon juice tones down the sweet taste. Otherwise it would be way too sweet if that makes sense? Thanks for asking I should have explained this in the video! 😃
Great video 👌👌👌👌

When you make the milkshake you can just add regular sugar to it or use like a premix ice cream powder to get that smooth & creamy texture
Yes I have made the milkshake using regular sugar! It's really good! I haven’t tried a premix yet, but that's a great idea! Thanks so much for watching! 😃
Thank you !! I have that Rx already

Thanks for sharing this. I have a lot of Sodastream syrup I can experiment with!
does it make it too sweet??

Why can't you use monkfruit or other granulated sugar substitute

I like having something cold and sweet before bed, so this may save me from eating too much ice cream.
Yes! Great idea!! Thanks so much for watching! 😃

I think it would work you would just have to add sugar with your lemon or lime juice! Thank you so much for watching! 😁
This is helpful but I still can't justify the machine for just me 😞
Yes, it does make a lot for just one person! Thanks so much for watching! 😂😃
