Uganda: Brass Instruments Are Transforming Lives of Disadvantaged Youth | Firstpost Africa
In Uganda’s capital city of Kampala, marginalised youngsters are discovering a new path in life through music. An organization called Brass For Africa has formed a community brass band which enrols disadvantaged children. They want to not only teach music but also make the students understand and learn about important life skills like communication, leadership and self-confidence. They hold weekly learning sessions where the students come together and learn to play different melodies. Students who are a part of the band say that their lives have not been the same ever since they joined Brass For Africa. Watch our video to know more.
