Interesting as always Russ. As far as leak stop in a bottle, Id say the oil cooler is usually the first to plug up followed by other heat exchangers including radiator core! Thank you for the videos. I have been wanting to reply on the camshaft video, just haven't yet.
On occasion I work on two 8x8 tatra's that are set up as loggers. Absolute beasts. These have a "normal" axle, diff and driveline set up. The same customer also has another 8x8 Man. Always fun to work on
I think something a bit different is always interesting.....I've not had a coach for a few weeks thinking about it 🫣🫣🫣😂😂 Amazing axle arrangements on them!
Crazy axle setup on that Tatra! Thanks for taking us along on your troubleshooting on EAT systems and engines. I work on excavators mostly but a lot of information in these videos like this is universally applicable and it's been really interesting seeing how others go about these sort of problems.
Nice video, Good to see you posting a video with diagnosis and showing how to disassemble and assemble parts. Even cooling systems are complex these days. In my day it was just a thermostat and a fan🫣 How can the pushrod on the DAF CF be bent. See you in the next one.
Dont see many tatra about, seen 2 when working in germany and the drive train is somthing different they brilliant off road but working on them 😭 . Hope had good xmas and newyear
Great video as per mate! Top man All the best for the new year pal And stay safe 👍. Those brittle pipes are a ball ache I had it with plugs on Mercedes for audio/visual plugs for the screen just fell to bits in my hand 🙈. Top man
Wow, i have seen a lot but never before a drivetrain like that! If they have used a powder (old) style radiator sealant product then is the cooling efficiency lowered due that is my opinion. Most of the times that is a temporarly fix.. Thanks for the video! 🙂
Hi buddy thanks for the comment, yes the axle arrangement is something else! I forgot to mention the rear steer on it too 🫣 I don't know what was used to block the leak but the customer is trying to flush it all out currently to increase the efficiency
Cheers steve thanks for dropping by and watching the shit show of me trying to fix stuff 😂😂😂😂 I hope you had some time off over Christmas too buddy!!!!!
So Russell, to be clear here, the tatra is potentially going to need a replacement radiator or can it be flushed and what about the water pump and engine block galleries? I ask out of interest as I dont work on trucks. Thank you for sharing. I find your thought process fascinating and your knowledge is impressive
Hi mate, I'm a mobile car mechanic and I would like to get into lorry mechanic, how does it work with the hgv license? Is it a full course or is bit shorter? Thank you.
Paccar engines 🤮what were DAF thinking installing them 🤷🏻♂️ Get back to the 1160 engine or the Rolls Royce Eagle engine Leyland used The 30/30 Constructor 8x8 with the 300 hp RR Eagle engine was king of the hills on the A68 fully loaded or the 330 hp DAF engine in the same truck

I can't sorry it's all vehicle-specific and I don't have time to go through diagrams for individuals
